As a matter of self-preservation I try to avoid any kind of municipal or county governing body as much as possible when out in the state (or here for that matter). Recommended tbh.

Western KY counties and NKY are by far the least trustworthy in the state, probably the world... EKY counties are the only ones in the running
Don't let Hopkins ruin the whole Western Kentucky region.

Least, IMO, after the obvious Campbell, Kenton, Boone area, would be Bullitt, Nelson, Washington, Marion. Then Hopkins.

Any ideas to get a 4 year old out of the house for a few hours one day this week? Thinking either a nice long drive or... go stand in the corner of a large parking lot.

-Several friends are taking their kids to that Bernheim Forest over near Shepherdsville. There are sculptures of giants that the kids seem to like. I'm guessing it's still open.

We've also done this thing where we take a die(or use one on the phone) and every time we come to the intersection, we roll it. 1-2, we go left. 3-4, we go straight. 5-6, we go right. Sounds ridiculous, but it makes it more interactive and we never fail to come upon some area that we've never seen before. Good little way to kill a couple of hours and see new terrain.

-Matt, glad to hear that Larry is improving. I had limited interactions with him back in the day, but I remember him being a very nice man. And of course we've all always thought very highly of your mom. Hope you continue to get good reports.

-Birthday #76 for my dad on Wednesday. Wearing gloves while making his cake and signing his card, telling he and my mom to stay in a different room when I bring everything over, wiping down everything in their house that I've touched with Lysol wipes, then going back outside and sitting on his front porch so we can all eat the cake at the same time....THAT'S the easy part.

Getting his three siblings, all in their 70's, to figure out how to log on to a Zoom call that evening to surprise him....THAT'S gonna be the hard part.

Hope your father feels better.

If all of your posts were like that, no one would complain. Focus on facts and solutions. That’s what people want to hear. We get negative news all day long from multiple sources. We use sports as an outlet. You are one of those outlets. You do people more good being funny and positive than anything else. Don’t forget that.

Thank you.

I am not sure what people "want to hear" but I do know that every tweet I do that gives facts about the situation (which is really all I do from the KSR account...I only give my opinion on the MattJonesRadio one) gets more engagement right now than anything else I do. The reality is that more people in Kentucky follow me and Drew than the news outlets (which is a sad statement), which is why I try to give out the facts I can. I think it is helpful to many, even though it may be repetitive to you.

I admit I haven't been very funny and positive in the last couple of weeks. Being unable to visit my dad in the hospital due to the virus has certainly affected my outlook on its seriousness.

The most trustworthy counties are without question the ones in the Eastern part, because they will tell you if they hate you. I would basically say that any place not connected to an interstate or a state parkway is more honest than any place that is....but also more likely to believe in Facebook conspiracy theories. So its a mixed bag

Least trustworthy is Scott County. Most people that live there aren't from there and most are only there because of the jobs and chicken restaurants. Damon Thayer and Amy McGrath also both call it home.

"Trustworthy" though, are you talking about showing up on time work, dependable or just honest? Like leave your house key with them in case of an emergency? Because it's 100% not EKY if we're talking dependable.

I'm sticking with Western. Straight shooters, pleasant, honest, the first call if you need help. Pull Hopkins out and that's my pick.

Ohio county is the most honest.

Snake oil grin, nods at camera over your shoulder, six people out back robbing your house and burning it down as you smile and wave politely.

Anyone else heard any good conspiracy theories?

Just a couple more weeks and everything is back rolling. [smoke]

I don't know this person from those tweets, but what a strange person. I don't even care about the politics, what is it like to have no ability to think for yourself and be so completely unable to help yourself from parroting a politician? Trump is just like...one human being. You're the kind of personality that exists in a cult following.

So odd.

Lexington feels damn near deserted, tbh. It is weird, and I don't care for it.

Quite the opposite this weekend...MOW, Nich Rd, Richmond Rd...all busy. Judging by the Social Distancing Barney Fife's on social media, Lowes, Target and Meijer were packed. Outside of no restaurants open, the city looked as normal as ever on Sat traffic wise. You aren't keeping people home on a nice weekend, regardless of what "Andy" says. 75 cases in a population of 325K isn't deterring many.

What’s the problem with Nelson County aside from a few unsolved murders?

Took J out for a drive yesterday, too. Picked up some milkshakes, drove out Old Frankfort, cruised suburbia looking for bears or whatever people are hanging up in their windows and filled up the tank for 0.92/gallon. he enjoyed and it broke up the afternoon nicely. One of my favorite things about Lex is pretty much any direction you go, 5 minutes or so out of town is some pretty spectacular countryside this time of year.

I really wonder what some of these idiot die hard truthers are going thru right now. You’ve got the President now saying if we hold this thing to ONLY one hundred thousand deaths we’ve done a great job, and continuing to extend the stay at home guidelines. How does one continue to spin this by blaming the media and Democrats, when Dear Leader himself is the one playing the heavy hand?

Tough call. Puppies to UKO and his ilk.

Hope this gets better for you......it is one of the most helpless feelings I’ve had in years myself.

You're assuming a level of self-awareness that doesn't exist in certain people. They wake up the next day and go looking for the next confirmation bias to confidently parrot around the internet and forget that yesterday ever happened. They're like squirrels. Just off to find the next nut.

And before any feathers get ruffled, I'm not talking about all conservatives nor exclusively conservatives. It's not about that. It's just an objective truth that there's this group of profoundly stupid people who are really confident for some unknown reason. The internet unfortunately provided them with a stage on which to shine that they historically have never had, needed, or deserved.

Awesome. Sounds like we have Brooks and Allen back for next year. And.... That's it.

Pretty much over this. Another year of "hoping it all comes together in March"

Albeit with the same staff and same antiquated BS offense.

CANT WAIT! GBB!

Lifetime contract!

If John Calipari can't convince guys going undrafted to return to school then he's not doing his job.

This was all fun and games when it was #1 picks leaving.
