I'm old enough to remember when the media fellated the previous admin for "creating" all those jobs that returned post recession. Surely they will do the same thing when this is over.

Glass half full thoughts:

I rescheduled my trip to sunny Destin for June. Warmer weather and water. Will be easier to get that nice brown tan I’m accustomed to. Florida is too redneck to close their beaches for 3 months, right? Gotta think they’ll be back in business by Memorial Day.

Had my grass cut for the first time this year yesterday. Next to a haircut, not much else will make you feel like a new man than a nice yard trim.

Amazon just loaded up on new pfg, just in time for the stimulus checks and summertime.

Got a tree form hydrangea that’s starting to show signs of life. Little bit of green starting to pop out of the branches I pruned a few weeks back. Crape Myrtle is still dormant. Probably won’t show anything for another month or so. Nothing on the azaleas yet. That should change after these next few days of unseasonable warmth.

Just saw an article that the Chicago mayor is threatening to arrest people for being outside too long... “you cannot go on long bike rides, this is not a time for 5Ks.”

If every Kentucky housewife’s heartthrob (not mine, mind you) says that, I guess I’m headed to jail. Daily runs/walks are helping keep me somewhat sane since I’m stuck in this house working a full-time job WHILE raising my child, Brandon Stroud.

Getting outside for daily activity has been the highlight of this entire ordeal. I’ve been running/walking 6-10 miles almost every single day, at a completely leisurely pace. Most of the time I stop at least 2-3 times when I see friends and have a long chat. It feels like being comfortably retired.

I’m no scientist, but regular exercise, outdoor activity, and healthy social interaction has got to be a part of the cure.

Could be. I like his chances but definitely not going to be a landslide like some are predicting.

Probably more like an onslaught, especially if Biden doesn't figure out this dementia thing he has going on. It isn't going to be remotely close.

Approval of his handling of the crisis is 56% according to....NBC.

Overall JA numbers up too.

Not political, just numbers.

He will be tough to beat. Especially with Biden at the top of the ticket. For Biden, running for office has a higher mortality rate than COVID-19.

Read an article yesterday that in times of crisis the public typically rallies around their leader, setting aside obvious differences. After 9/11 Bush’s approval numbers exceeded 90% at times. Makes sense. Crazy as it seems, this pandemic may have been the help ole boy needed, regardless of what you think of his (completely obvious, incredibly incompetent) handling.

This morning made 6 consecutive times that, during a run, I've had to duck into the woods or a convenience store to go #2.

You need a reality check. He *might* pick up 1 or 2 smaller red states but also has a chance of losing 2-3(MI, PA, WI). Wouldn't doubt if it ends closer electorally despite the fact Biden can't complete sentences.

Could see a scenario with college football where the season is shortened bc there hasnt been a spring practice and the summer period may be less than normal. If guys are just gonna go out and get hurt, they could consider having a couple of games removed from the schedule... which I assume would hurt the small schools the most that depend on a game check for going to get beat by a P5 school.

I don’t care who’s wrong and or who’s right. Quit the fng political nonsense and FIX THIS ****, NOW. This goes for both sides. Greedy ******* politicians.

We’re supposed to be the most advanced medical and industrial country in the entire world. Fastrack this stimulus funding, get the SBA capital
to these small businesses yesterday, and start contracting the private sectors to manufacture more masks, ventilators, gloves, sanitizer and test kits at a rapid pace. Executive order stuff. NOW.

I don’t want to be sitting here doing Afternoons With Andy in early August while the country continues to burn and we stare at no college football.

This seems totally plausible. I mean, now that Chicago streets are free from drug dealers and murderers, time to infiltrate the dangerous Lululemon gang.

Anyone who thinks Trump is winning by a landslide is a waterhead.

Waterhead checking in. "The left" ran their best candidate the last time and she got trounced. Now they are running someone who molests children and belongs in assisted living. Anyone voting for JB may want to get swabbed for head in *** syndrome.

CV19 and all its glory isn't stopping the train, especially when the election will be when the recovery is in full swing. Not to mention the fact that our country is safe, and our foreign friends are now looking at The Donald as King Jaffe Joffer....roses are spread everywhere he goes.

Let us know how your swab test turns out.

Now that we're all looking for recs for shows to watch, Vice has an amazing two-part documentary on Youtube dealing with the Chris Benoit double-murder-suicide.

Never knew Benoit had an older son (his spitting image, by the way) and the absolute hell he's been through having to be known as Benoit's son.

Chris Jericho comes off as an absolute class-act in this.

A+++++

Biden is a complete disaster as a candidate. I can believe the DNC hand-picked a bad candidate, that's what they do, but I honestly can't believe they found a way to hand-pick a candidate who isn't clearly cognitively beyond the dumbest president in the nation's history. That's truly a staggering achievement.

Hopefully this post pissed off everyone on both sides and didn't miss anyone. Happy Opening Day, everyone.
