Wow you guys are pussies! That team had no business being in that game but they fought, had grit and went toe to toe. It was unreal to see Duke play flawless and we were still only down 5 at half, and then we come out flat, get down 12 fight back and execute down the stretch.......man just beautiful basketball to me.

Guess I don’t see it for the loss anymore as much as an overachievement, period, for us at that time.

Complete opposite of the Wisconsin loss IMO

I’ll watch until 1.2 left on the clock. I will then turn it off and begin watching the 98 UK/Duke game in it’s entirety.
In my mind, a nice little payback heartbreaker.

Yea I don’t watch that shot, but the rest of that game was just top notch ball by a very memorable team that took pride in what we were!

That was a damn good Kentucky team, anchored by the best Wildcat I’ve ever watched. They went 22-6 the year before and were a 2-seed that year.

Alex O'Connell transferring from Duke.

Assuming Duke is getting Seth Towns. Harvard transfer from Columbus. Down to Duke and OSU

Would seem like Duke is gonna have a rough team next year. But that never happens. They'll fall *** backwards into Jonathan Kuminga most likely. Because the world is a bad place designed for our torment.

Yes, I’m aware.

That Duke team had 4 lottery picks, and 2 other NBA players that played majority of the minutes. We had Mash as the only NBA talent.

We were a clear underdog, IIRC 8-10 points.

We were innovative with our approach and we left it on the court. My post was more toward posters being soft about watching the GREATEST game ever just because we lost on a crazy buzzer beater.

Not me! I loved starting off bombing 3s on them bitches, and I really appreciate a spirt of chaos where Hurley passes the ball at the back of Laettner’s head and the next possession Travis Ford picks Hurley clean on a fast break!

- On a side note, it is crazy to see the media difference as we were the darling of the NCAA with Pitino, and with Cal......not so much.

What pisses me off is yeah we avenged them in 98 but outside UK fans that game in 98 doesn't get near enough praise compared to 92.

IF Langdon would have made the half court shot at the end of the 98 game Kentucky would have imploded and probably still wouldn’t be recovered yet. Thank God....

Watched it at the Sigma Chi house, after an all day pig roast. Started drinking bourbon at about noon. Larry Redmond was playing.

After the game, a few guys threw their mini-fridges out of their windows of the fraternity house, others broke stuff, and caused all kids of mayhem.

It was the only time in my 4 years that all property damage fines were waived.

Don't have to be a Nobel prize winning economist to understand the kind damage being inflicted to our economy. Large companies will bounce back, but this will cause irreparable damage to small businesses.

We're staring down the barrel of a recession because our state/local governments have made ridiculous decisions in a series of one-upsmanship. With 22k current known cases in the US, it will take a 74,000% increase for total number of cases to reach 0.05% of the US population (i.e., 5 per 1,000)....

Should we practice social-distancing? Yes. Was it the right call to cancel the NCAA-T and other large events? Yes. But issuing state-wide orders to stay home is just plain f*cking stupid at this point....

Rewatching the Belk Bowl on SEC Network right now. Just amazing how savage our defense is. Some of these hits we laid down...mercy.

I still haven’t wrapped my mind around the Cats being the hardest hitting, hardest running, most physical team in the league. Never in my life did I think I would be able to type that with a straight face. But it’s all true.

Saturdays this fall are just going to be on a different level of special.

ESPN2 is running back old McD All-American dunk/3pt contests. 1995 class going now. What a f*cking loaded class:

Stephon Marbury
Vince Carter
Kevin Garnett
Paul Pierce

Not to mention Ron Mercer and Wayne Turner....

Remember running outside the apartment ag University Commons when Avery's shot bounced off the backboard. Screaming heard everywhere.
