I think that this whole thing would be a lot more tolerable if not for social media.

On a related note, grown adults are actually saying that calling it the "Wuhan Virus" or the "Chinese Coronavirus" is racist.

This may be the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Given the level of hysteria, they probably had no choice, but this sucks.

In the race to overreact the most I think the tournament gets cancelled. Someone is going to raise the question of what happens if a player from a team still remaining in the tournament tests positive.

- Rowland with a good point - we are used to playing in a quiet gym. Advantage or no? Certainly shoot better IMO.

I will say that if there was ever a year to just not name an NCAA champ and give everyone tee ball trophies, it would be this one.

Cal is going to try figure out a way to argue that this somehow hurts UK.

"Well normally, we have the most fans in the building in the NCAA Tournament, and that gives us an advantage over our opponent. Our fans are crazy. They'll go anywhere to watch this team play. But now, with this, with no fans there, that doesn't do us any favors. But that's fine. It is what it is. Let see where we are."

I think history will show that the NCAA was responsible for a slight increase in abortions because of this decision.

Boy howdy, going to be some hot shooting in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium with no fans....

NCAA says they’re working to move games to smaller venues.

-Going to go load up on UCONN to win the title. This weird *** tournament is how they win things. Is what it is.

Right call. Preventing unnecessary cross country travel is a huge way to curtail this.

Unless you eliminate every single sporting event, concert, convention, rodeo, etc, etc, etc, where there may be thousands of people in attendance, then this decision is a blip on the radar. Meanwhile, you will have hundreds of people in bars and restaurants watching the games across the country...in the grand scheme of things that is probably more likely to cause a problem than the dozen or so people seated near you in an arena.

And given flights are already low on passengers, that is another insignificant band-aid.

Sounds like Orange Man Bad might take a dump on international travel plans tonight. You can go but you might not get back in.
