He's not motivated (or, unmotivated) by money to perform his job at his point in his career, get real. Anyone who believes that is an idiot.

That greedy ******* is still motivated by money. The F out of my face. Ive spent my entire career around old white men that stopped needing money decades ago. You know what keeps them waking up every morning? F’ng money.

That’s the most naive **** I’ve seen from you in years, doggy.

K, then why isn't he trying to do better to get more money? Thought he was just rich, fat, and happy?

Which is it?

[eyeroll]

Of course he wants as much money as he can get, as does anyone. However, The notion that money/his contract are the main reasons for his falloff is ridiculous, period.

Btw, if you're not current on the latest season of Curb then you're the Ashton Hagans of tv-watching. It's brilliant and possibly the best season of his yet.

Also, the latest episode of disgruntled Jets fan which has some parallels to this traumatic time of being a UK fan post-shitting the bed to Barnes (again).

There’s literally nothing left to give him at this point. I mean things seemed a little more pressing when he was getting his semi-annual extensions and bumps.

JMO. I’m convinced he’s motivated enough to keep us around where we are and keep the inflated pay structure. Sure. Coaching legacy? Banners? Not as critical as they were even 5 years ago, I don’t believe.

What grinds my gears is the entitlement not the money. A young Cal gunning for a job at UK doesn't skip his post game radio show after an epic collapse. He doesn't fly all over the GD country during game prep to watch his boy knock down garbage 3s vs. ahole state*. He certainly doesn't put up with the Hagans antics this late in a season.

There is no consequence or check on him. I love Cal and I'm not changing my avatar to effin Bruce Pearl but someone needs to kick him in the *** every now and then.

I genuinely believe Cal is just as motivated and works just as hard as he did when he first got here. The "problem" imo - as is frequently the case with many successful coaches as they get older - is that what used to work before (offensively, for example) maybe doesn't work as well now. You can either adapt or you can turn into Denzel Crum.

I think it's Susie because she's a package deal with Jeff, is a more aggressive, mean, spiteful version of Lewis and she's hysterical.

Don't get me wrong, he's nailed it with the mixture of Susie/Jeff, Leon, Lewis and the cameos. Just enough of each and leaves you wanting a little bit more.

-I think the ones of you saying, “IT WAS SENIOR NIGHT!!!!” Are missing something. First off, we didn’t have any seniors, Sestina doesn’t count. The rest of the guys never planned on ever seeing their own senior. That’s pretty much most years now which I think decreases the “Let’s TOUCHIN GO!” we used to have and never lose on senior night.

-Current season oh Curb odd indeed shaping up to be the best yet...so far.

-Cleaned the house, laundry this morning, leg day so hard I threw up while driving my scooter home. Didn’t even slow down #propuker. Thankfully I hadn’t eaten yet so it was an easy one.

Havana Cabana Pool with 3 friends for the rest of the day.

-cal isn't a bum, and im glad he's here...but he is not beyond reproach. When a coaches team blows a 17pt 2nd half lead and his chosen "leader" is *publicly* petulant...he is and *should be* questioned.

-y'all can ***** about the teenagers if you want...but the scrutiny is to be directed at the CEO.

What if not everything is an overarching indictment of the entire history of the program?

Last night didn't tell us anything we didn't already know, and most teams drop a clunker before the tournament anyway. The Hagans incident on the bench is a different animal, though probably overblown, but if you were excited yesterday at noon, I'm not sure how the team playing exactly as they've played most of the year changed much.

Because if that loss last night disqualifies us from winning it all, hand the trophy to Kansas because they're the only team without one of those recently.

If you guys lived on the Tennessee line you would understand

I have heard at least three times today “you can’t sleep on them hound dogs”

I don’t even know what the **** that means or what hound dogs have to do with Tennessee but I’ll be dammed if I don’t find a hound dog to kick today

Leon is probably my favorite, but Suzi is vital. I find Lewis to be annoying, but he’s supposed to be. Jeff is just sorta there. Actually kinda miss Funkhauser (RIP).

Larry’s friendship to rivalry with Ted Danson is awesome.

This season is top notch, and the first episode maybe the GOAT.

Last night's loss sucked and is alarming because of the Hagans incident and it demonstrates the fact that this team has been far shakier than our record indicates.

That doesn't mean it is time to get rid of Calipari or whatever. Two things can be true at once.

I love you Chumps, you crazy toucher. You make me feel better about the fact that I take college kids playing basketball waaaaay too seriously, myself.

Lifetime contract. This team is incapable of turning the corner.

Trying to figure out who this season's Bruce Weber is going to be

Go coach the Knicks, c-sucker

Outscored 50-31 in 2nd half
At home
On Senior Night

With mostly all non-freshmen playing major minutes.

This team is toast. Absolute toast.
And once again, no help on the horizon.

So glad they have 5 open scholarships right now. No chance there were no players out there who could play on this **** team.

Lifetime Contract. LOLOLOLOL

UCLA getting more bang for their buck with Mick Cronin then they would with John Calipari.

Time to bring in the next guy with a massive chip on their shoulder who isn't fat and happy....

Never would have thought Matthew Mitchell would give up the mantel of most overpaid Basketball Coach in the Commonwealth and yet here we are

November 5th. Right after Cade Cunningham committed to Okie State.

Narrator: It didn't come together in March

Hey, at least they signed 2 Top 5 players this year. First ones since Skal!

Jeremy Cox, Glynn Cyprien, Tracy Webster, Reggie Hanson, David Hobbs, Scott Rigot

>>>>>>

Justus and Barbee.

I'd give my left nut for Bruce Pearl right now

Cal is just a guy anymore.

UK giving him a lifetime contract was the equivalent of the Reds signing Barry Larkin to a 3 year, $27 mil extension in 2000 instead of trading him to the Mets.

I do not recall any monumental 2nd half collapses in 2012 leading up to March.

To the point of Kansas, that's part of the redass. They have the FBI up their ***, an opening night scandal, not sure but probably guess one of their players did something really f'ing stupid this season and still, Self is able to eek a win out over Bruce Weber. Not vastly different games, either. One just happened to **** 3/4's of the way down his leg before some Hoots waitress came by with a napkin and the other diarrhea'd himself then went home.
