Every single bit of these late game antics are on Cal. Pathetic.
With the three guards we have this is absurd. It's coaching though. You don't do OOB plays and expect them to just "wing" it.

How about in late game, out of bounds situations, we throw the ball to the tallest player on the floor, who just happens to be a pretty good FT shooter?
The team lost me tonight, fellas. Never felt so defeated after a win.

I’ve tried to talk myself into them by running down the rest of CBB this season. After watching that game between Baylor and KU today, there’s a big gap between “us” and “them.” Would love to be wrong.
Nick and IQ deserve a deep run! Maybe they can will it to happen, but they need the damn ball when it matters!

Fair enough, but how about we wt least throw ball in to our tallest guy (but not in a corner or along the baseline) who will either get fouled or has the option to get the ball back to one of our "3 guards". Just get the gat dayum ball in bounds is all I'm asking for.
Here’s the thing about Quickly, Cal didn’t start him and barely wanted to play him to start the year yet says Hagans is the least of our worries.
My man IQ. Was always a little bummed for him after IQ was first one in his class to commit to us (IIRC); then Hagans committed in April and later took IQ's (presumed) starting job.
Very happy that IQ was strong enough not only to withstand that, but to become a star in his own right. All he really needed was some experience and some confidence.
Those broad shoulders and the wide base he gets make him hell to guard on the drive / floater.

I’m sorry, but I’m not apologizing for that take. This team is flawed in many areas.
I think everyone has known that for several months, but we are significantly better than we were, and everyone else is capable of losing to us in a one game situation.
If you’d told me we’d be here immediately after we lost to Utah I’d have farted in your face and called the cops on you.
With this team, I’ll take where we are now, have some unrealistic hope, and enjoy the rest of the year.

I don't think anyone is penciling us in. But this year is as wide open as any I can remember, and we have several important ingredients that can make us dangerous.
But if it makes you comfortable, put your March faith in Self, Scott Drew, Dayton, SD State and Coach K, if you must.

Yeah we are flawed but so is everyone. I'm pretty happy with this win and being so doesn't mean I'm not worried about getting bounced in the first round. I'll keep hoping Hagans gets his head on straight and enjoy our 2 game lead in the SEC.
