Pick a place that looks cool but has marginal food, pick something off the menu, pay to eat some of it, enjoy the atmosphere, leave.

Few things piss me off more than people who go to restaurants known above all else for good food.

Exactly. Good tap and/or bourbon list is important too. Diveyness isn’t necessarily bad.

I like them both a lot and remember happier GYERO times when Boat and Chad talked about Porsche rides together. Watched a friendship crumble in real time. Sad, really.

- I once got kicked out of Yesterday's Billiards at 5:00 p.m. The sun was still up. And when I say "I got kicked out," I mean, "a group I was rolling with that decided it was a good idea to do shots of liquor between sessions of the state tourney got kicked out." Basically, the owner got into a heated argument with one of our group members after he cut us off. He said he didn't run that kind of establishment and prided himself on the billiards afficianadoes that brought business to his bar. After he was ridiculed for this stance by other members of our group (it was brought to his attention that we were the only ones there spending money), we were tossed. But not before some pushing, shoving, and the owner successfully spitting on one of us. That was ~15 years ago. Maybe we will be welcome in the new location? #RIP

Sounds like I hope they serve beer in hell which is awesome

Well I’m willing to big the bigger person (spiritually and physically.) I’d be happy to go share a ****** meal with comrade Chad anytime and talk about what he feels is important in this day and age.

It’s about understanding and trying to find common ground. The things that make us different don’t have to be divisive.

I don’t think of those places as having marginal food, even if they overcook Tony’s steak from time to time.

Two steakhouses in one weekend. That's some GYERO right there. Puppy scent to your colon.
This Saturday away schedule has the SchemBean time in dire straits. Prolly go tuna on Saturday.

Need to hurry up though because I'd like to end up over at KSBar for the fight, what time will that thing actually start? 1130?

So I guess the individual SEC schools are responsible for their own baseball tv broadcasts? UK has decided to use one camera to televise their games and it’s... something. One camera.

Which is better overall Tony’s or Ruby’s? Is it easily Ruby’s? Some things better at each place? What’s the general consensus?

This is a debate Anth and I agree on.

Overall, food has been slightly better at Tony’s, but close. Steaks are a push.

Tonys crab cake is the best I’ve ever had, including east coast.

Tony’s is slightly less expensive, overall. But Tonys can get pretty loud, hard to talk to at big table.

Ruby’s has better ambiance by far, and isn’t as damn noisy as Tonys. The bar at Ruby’s is sick and usually has live music. Also does sushi.

Both are very solid though, won’t go wrong with either.

Never been to Tony’s, but I’ve been to Ruby’s. It’s absolutely fantastic, and absolutely the exact same steak house food as a thousand other premiere steak houses in the country.

We live in a wonderful country, full of many premiere steak houses. But if the left has their way, they wanna put a stop to that. First it was we wanna take your guns, now they wanna take your beef.

See this little trend of marginal food and good vibes isn’t just schtick, it’s real.

THEY CAN TAKE MY STEAK WHEN THEY PRY IT OUT OF MY COLD DEAD HANDS.

I too like steak. My wife doesn’t though because cows are smart and know what’s going on, according to her.

Anyway, Boat- stop the grandstanding. You and your kind don’t own steak.

Not to defend Kia because I don’t care one way or another, but it isn’t as if Ford, Chevy, Chrysler, Buick or any other car manufacturer doesn’t have recalls.

I’m pretty sure Toyota had a worse situation on their hands just a few years back.

- Memphis vs Lakers tonight. Tough road trip to start the post all Star game stretch.

Not to mention the Camry’s gas pedal sticking that affected some 2million vehicles within the last 10 years.
