Doesn't feel like Thursday Randoms:

-I'm very happy with the way things are going for our country, and especially myself. :):americanflag:

-Jack Fry's last night was solid. I see what Wayne is saying about the new seating, being stuck back there would seemingly take away from what makes that place special. I guess I've been there 5-6 times, and I'm fairly certain I've been seated at the same table every single time - the little two top against the far wall right by the bar...and was again last night. That actually happens to me a lot in restaurants, tbh.

Filet was cooked perfect edge-to-ege med-rare, but they need to work on that sear man - nonexistent, and a tad disappointing. Almost made me wonder if they are SV'ing them these days, and if they are, they need to work on that finish.

-O'Shea's for a nightcap afterwards. Still weird to me how much that place has completely changed w/ regards to the setup. That little hipster nerd baby-faced bartender that works the room shaking everyone's hand cracks me up. Nice fella though.

-Coach K is such a little **********. That blow-by last night was up there with his best.

-Pains me to say it, but if I had to place a single $500 on one team to win the title, I guess it's Kansas. Top 5 PG, Top 5 Big, Top 5 Glue/Wing in Garrett, and decent pieces/depth around them. Wouldn't like the bet, though. Who TF knows this year

-The most maddening thing about our 3 prized guards is the fact that they NEVER all 3 play well in a single game. Seriously, has it happened all season? It's either 2 bad/1 good, or if we're lucky 1 good/1 decent/1 bad.

We're actually built like so many Villanova teams, only we have a bonus stud Center. If we can ever get all 3 to just play GOOD+ in a game, we're going to beat no matter who we play, and likely rather easily. That's not going to happen all the time, but JFC you'd think it would at least happen occasionally. :grimace:

-Sat out my club's 48 man Ft. Myers golf trip this year. Really regretting that move as the videos, texts, posts, and stories continue to roll in. Won't be doing that again.

-Anyone use those little 'Just Crack an Egg' things? Little guys are actually great, and an easy way to sneak an egg or decent snack at work. Microwave 10 seconds less than directions, stir, and do again -- sucker comes out soft scrambled amazingly close to the pan.

-Annual All BBdK Team: (Non UK guys who's games I love)

Kamar Baldwin - Butler
Payton Pritchard - Oregon
Isaiah Livers - Michigan
Cory Krispert - Zags
Saddiq Bey - Nova

HM: David Johnson :flushed:
DQ: Tyrese Haliburton

-10 days til March :basketball:[cheers]:fire:

The Vandy game in Nashville (well, mostly just the 2nd half) is the only one that immediately comes to mind.

4 players we've played that I love:

Jahmi'us Ramsey
Breein Tyree
Saban Lee
Isaac Okoro

-So weird a team that pisses me probably more than any I can remember has played themselves into a great position. Just hold court and we're the SEC champ and fighting for a top 3 seed. Saturday would be a great time to put it all together. We're due a big game at home.

-Good to hear Lunardi say we're an outlier and pass the eye test as one of the best teams right now.

-But Coach K is so gracious in victory.

-22pt loss to a team coming off a fresh loss to Boston College.

-Bloomberg is the grandson of Russian immigrants and he built a $62B empire. That's amazing and yet he's criticized for being too wealthy. Just doesn't sit well with me. Especially when he found success outside of politics. Plenty of other things to attack other than being a successful person.

-Working on a Philly weekend for a Big 5 game at The Palestra next year. :eyes:

-Trey Young in his 2nd year is an All Star starter and 29/ppg. He's over 3,000pts in 1.5 years. Bowie only scored 5500 in 10 seasons. So basically the same thing. Who had that terrible take?

scrambled amazingly close to the pan.

Got the wife hooked on those, we'll throw them on some street taco tortillas for a quick breakfast taco.

UK is working on this? Be still my beating heart, brought this up a while back. Hope it come to fruition.

I love the Democrat debates, fun to watch the rats eat each other. Bloomberg, wow what a beating, welcome to the race.

Think Pocohantus and Bernie did the best. Biden was ok, Mayor Pete and Klomentum with a nice little spat.

That Latino moderator tho...:fire:

Well, considering the leading D candidate is a self-proclaimed socialist and borderline communist, Bloomberg apparently personifies everything that's wrong with this country.*

Maybe I've missed this, but who is Lil Mez? Just some podunk winja in a small town living the thug life or something?

Pretty much a Slim Shady lurking. I have actually thought about friending him on the Facebook just to get daily updates of the life of a winja wannabe rapper / drug dealer.

Games all 3 played OK/ good / great.

There are a bunch where 2 played great and the third played decent, did other things to help win. I know some people will jump on the hate Ashton and say a lot of these games he did not play well. That is OK, but you have to factor his just being in the game disrupting and running the offense. We all saw what happened at the end of the LSU game when he is not in. IF Hagans finishes that game, we win by DD's.

OK bash away, and do the blah blah blah, I know it will come, rather than read the post and discuss BASKETBALL. The catsfanbgky attached to the post will auto get it bashed or ignored. I would rather discuss topics than just fly by troll post. If someone post something that is interesting / debatable, I could not care less who's name is attached to it.

- If gun-to-head, I guess I'd take Kansas, too. But I could also see them bowing out to an 8/9-seeded LSU/Purdue/Michigan/Texas Tech squad. Seriously, WTF knows this year.

YOUNG MATTSCATS' MOVIE/TV CRUSHES

* Ali from Karate Kid. Go back and watch the beach scene when her and Daniel first meet. That jiggle, man. Here, let me just put this here and go to the :57 second mark:

Man. Elizabeth Shue was on another planet for me in 1984. Shew wee.

* Boof from Teen Wolf. Apex of the girl next door.

* Maggie from Lucas. Did Kerri Green play the same character in every movie (Lucas, The Goonies, Summmer Rental)?

* Cherry from The Outsiders. Diane Lane still looks damn good.

* Stacy from Kids Incorporated. 11-year-old MattsCats is okay to have a crush on a 12-year-old, just to clear that up. Too bad she became Fergie.

- Portnoy and Barstool certainly come off with an aura of pure douche, but I wholeheartedly enjoy his pizza reviews. The one with Jon Taffer at Angelo Bellini in Manhattan was tremendous. Dave seemed to be absolutely awed by Taffer. Still get a giggle from the Godfather debacle.

- I'm Team Anth on the weather. Give me 80 and sunny everyday. With that said, I'm all for one huge snow--preferably on a Sunday afternoon--before Spring. I'd be perfectly fine braving the snow to perhaps have a little Sunday funday at the local pub with the regulars, watching some hoops, GAMBOL and quite possibly getting a work snow day on a Monday. Can't argue with that.

- Superman 2 is still my favorite cheesy superhero movie.

- Will throw $20 on NASCAR from time-to-time. Locked in Hamlin at 10-1 Saturday. Everything had to go his way that day.
* started almost last
* somehow climbed into first for 10-15 laps
* lost lead
* avoided two accidents (how he got his car through there was something else)
* lost the lead on that final lap and, well, you know what happened

Hated it had to happen that way, but it's all good now that he walked out of the hospital.

Same with golf, I'll throw some of that house money on the WCG-Mexico Championship. Longshot picks: Matsuyama 22-1 and Sergio at 40-1. Minus whale.

- NCAA bball futures: UK 20-1, MSU 25-1, Auburn 33-1, Nova 35-1. Again, WTF knows?

BOL!

NCAA HQ has to be praying daily that Kansas doesn't somehow find a way to win the whole thing while sitting on 5 level 1 infractions.

probably about as much as they hated handing the trophy over to Roy Williams in the middle of an investigation 3 years ago.
