That's a really good lineup but Young the Giant seems like a weird addition in comparison to the other acts.

If you like Bluegrass Music The Dead South is really good.

LOL at the people wanting Hagans out of the game. Well, in the final two minutes you saw what happens. Could not get the ball passed half court. I get it, he makes bad turnovers, but all of the guards do. Hagans hit some very crucial shots in the second half, the block he had from behind did not even get a mention in here. Maxey missed more wide open shots and air balled a 6 footer in the lane, had just as many to's as Hagans and did not handle the ball nearly as much. Hagans is the new Andrew Harrison for some of you.

Town Mountain is great as well. Two of my favorite modern bluegrass bands.

Some really solid country acts in that lineup to .

Shotes:

-Great win last night. Nate was really good, minus the press panic. Quickley is becomming a legit STAR - expect to see him on Preseason AA lists if he returns, and he better.

-Jack Fry's tonight w/ the lil bro :fire: Haven't been there in several years, inexplicably.

-Grassa Gramma was cool last week. All the pasta is housemade, and the place is stunning inside. Heard he put several Million into it, and I believe it.

-RIP Pop Smoke. 20 years old, damn. Dude had a crazy voice & unique style all his own...was well on his way to being the next big thing out of NYC. Senseless ****, man.

-Nice crew shaping up for a day of GAMBOL at the Sportsbook Saturday.

-Jones was mystified this morning at how well Maxey finishes at the rim "given that he's SOOO little" [eyeroll] He's 6'3/200, and one of the stronger lead guards in the country, Matt. I recommend watching the games.

-If it weren't for Bilas I'd have no clue what's going on out there. [sick]

-:thumbsdown: to Smoothie King going away from styrofoam cups. Don't even get me started on McDonald's...:uzi:

-Pumped for the debut of SAEGOLFFAN this summer. Welcome to the life bub. [cheers]

--Tame Impala is dope AF. Had no idea until recently that it was just one dude playing multiple instruments, singing, and handling the boards. That's some major talent - new album is :fire:

Controversial take: but Jack Fry's is hit or miss and it's basically predicated on whether you get seated in the main dining area or that half-assed section they near the entrance. I get expanding the seating, but the experience is completely different in the new section.

Started a mini flame war a few years ago ITT by pointing out Tame Impala created the best guitar riffs of the past 30 years. Lots of Boomers started bringing up great bands that hadn't been good in 50 years. It was a thing

What I'm trying to say is, I am to music what Joey is to Asian fashion trends. #tastemaker

* Isbell, Colter Wall, Hayes Carll, John Moreland.....:raised_hands::raised_hands:

I mean, I have no desire to go, even if I did live in Lexington. But those guys are fantastic.

* Pretty sure I have a herniated disc in my back. Again. It's about the 10 year anniversary of my last one. Literally felt a pop at the gym on Monday, and immediately hit the deck. Hobbled home. Time to start swimming and chillaxing on the elliptical. [eyeroll]

* Hate on Bilas all you want, but I think he's just as fed up with the college game as the rest of us. In the first half, he had a long sequence where he casually commented "foul, another foul, not a foul....ugh," as if he was just annoyed even being there. I would be too, bro.

* Blocks are a stat that accumulate much more slowly than they seem. If you'd have told me Kentucky had like 15 blocks in the first half, I would have believed you. We "only" had like half that.

* RIP O'Charley's on Nicholasville Rd. Spent 5 good years of my early adulthood there. Holy ****, the memories in and out of that place. Closing for good on Sunday.

* Styrofoam cups and little rabbit turd ice = instantly makes soft drinks 100x better. Thank you for still keeping it real, Chic Fil-a.

* Trips in the works for the rest of the year.....

- Key West in May
- two weeks in Vietnam/Thailand in June
- two weeks in Colorado/Jackson Hole (Yellowstone/Teton) in August
- Vegas and Antelope Canyon in November
- wcc's gender reveal, multi-family, co-ed sprinkle mixer shower, gift exchange party tbd

* Go ahead and add Will Wade to the "can eat all the dicks" list. F that little twerp.

* If you need a little inspiration, check out my buddy. 82 year old runner. Transy grad. Was recruited by CM a million years ago.

Yea, sounds real senseless...

On January 17, 2020, Jackson was arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on a charge of transporting a stolen vehicle across state lines. The vehicle was a Rolls-Royce Wraith, whose owner had reported stolen after Jackson had reportedly borrowed it in California for a music video shoot on the condition it would be returned the next day. The car was recovered by authorities at Jackson's mother's house in the Canarsie area of Brooklyn, and contained Alabama license plates and tinted windows. Jackson pleaded not guilty and was released on $250,000 bail on the same day.[

3x is out at the Gorge. That one is a lot of friendship and relaxing. The concerts are almost 2nd fiddle. Different show each night, no repeats. Bela Fleck & Robert Randolph guesting this year. :fire:.

Other shows will all be in Raleigh. Thinking about Joe Russo Almost Dead at Red Rocks.

I’ve stepped up my current hip-hop game quite a bit in last few months.
I just like music, period.

Knocta can EAD.

Actually, yeah, being murdered in a home invasion robbery does sound pretty senseless. You can both be a bad person and be murdered senselessly. Learn nuance.

-I'll hate on Bilas without regret, he's awful, even if his points are valid. He's a condescending douche who thinks he's the smartest guy in the room. Go be president of the NCAA and get off my TV. I'd take Vitale all/air over him.

-Further that point, games on ESPN are AWFUL. Terrible. Overproduced garbage. 500 pop ups, stupid behind the scenes **** during live play, pointless stats, weird angles, Bilas blabbing, coach cams, split screens. Watching Raff on CBS the other day was so nice.

-Smoothie King is fantastic but impossible to order with out 5,000g of sugar.

-King Cake season, PTI(pti). Leggo. Happy to venmo you for it, although you started the tradition so I feel like you owe it to us.

-Need another series while working out. Finished OJ, The Boys, Schitt's Creek, Jack Ryan(X2), Pharmacist so far this off season. Whatcha got?

Hollinger on Ashton Hagans...

Ashton Hagans, Kentucky — The common sentiment in the league seems to be that Hagans is an early second-rounder in the 35-to-45 range. I think this sells him short.

Hagans has one weakness, and if he fixes it he’s an NBA starter. He’s shooting 27 percent from 3 for his career on low volume, sooooo …. yes, that’s a problem.

But look everywhere else for a minute. He’s one of the best defensive players in the country, a constant pest with tenacity, size (6-3) and quickness who swipes 3.5 steals per 100 without inordinate gambling. His ball pressure, in particular, has cracked several lesser guards.

He rebounds well for his size, is a good passer and creator who can make plays in transition, and should get a double-boost offensively when he comes to the NBA: First, he should be able to get to the basket more by playing on a team with actual shooting as opposed to Kentucky (his Wildcats have one player making more than one 3 a game and shooting better than 30 percent. One). And second, a pro system would likely give him more opportunities to create for teammates, particularly on pick-and-roll lobs and kickouts.

Finally, let’s go back to the shooting. Hagans is shooting 80.9 percent from the line this year and 78.9 percent career, but people act like he’s Chris Dudley. The eye test says the same thing – this part of his game doesn’t seem so far gone as to be unfixable. Once you get past the lottery, I think Hagans starts becoming a reasonable proposition.

I know none of us are allowed to enjoy things, but I enjoyed the FS1 broadcast of Illinois-Penn St. last night. Minimal broadcaster input, both coaches mic'd up, separate camera shots fixed on both head coaches during the entire game. I know it was sanitized for the mass audience, but it was still interesting to hear what they said during late-game timeouts. Speaking of which, I think Illinois can win two games in the tournament. Dosumnu is legit, and Cockburn is a beast.

This is why I like running Statbroadcast on my ipad during games. They don't show that many stats anymore. And rarely mention fouls on which player. However UK is cheap and does not open the StatBroadcast feed because, per our resident GYERO SID at X, it costs more if you open up the feed. Glad Vandy and LSU make enought money so that they can have their feed open.

~Railbird lineup is worse than last year, which at least had a couple of major A listers. Isbell is good but not festival headliner worthy...unless it is in Lex, I suppose.

~You guys w/ the best half of hoops all year, a few days after avoiding another horrible home loss. Figure out which team shows up Sat and profit. Your Cats by 12.

~SEC tourney for you Vegas sportsbookers will be a mess....their 3rd largest convention is that same week.

~Eagles at MSG were better than ever. Deacon fills dad’s shoes very well, and Vince Gill can hit all the Meisner notes. 32 songs worth. NYC in the colder months always brings a different vibe. Back in April for Hamilton.

~Other gems on the upcoming bill....Marty Stuart at Opera House, Allison Krause at Norton.

~Trump blows this field away in Nov. Won’t top Reagan’s monster landslide, but it will be ugly for “the left” when the final #’s are tallied in all seats. Enjoy, Pti.

~Wilder/Fury...great to see the heavyweight division back and strong.

~$$$ on the little older pup in the last few months...Xrays, MRI’s and eventually spleen removed. The things we do for our mutts, but damn they can be expensive.

~Any Rum elites on here? I think we have covered the bourbon well enough.
