Stoops and the Big Dog played this to a T. Vince got paid, which will probably lead to the others on staff getting a nice little raise. Not to mention how they can now go out on the recruiting trail and drop the whole "YTS came and i said no. Michigan State came after me, offered me a mind bottling amount of money, and I said no. This is where i want to be, with my boy Mark" We spossed to be SEC and now we are, bring it on you fvckers!

- Really like the 2:00 tip matinee tomorrow. Perfect time to make an afternoon of it while having the morning and evening free. Not that I have **** else to do on a **** *** Kentucky February day.

- Didn’t we lose to Ole Miss on a Saturday in late February in ‘98? Think that might have been our last loss before the run. Not checking google to confirm or deny.

- Watched that game on a black and white rabbit ears at my great uncle’s camp on the Licking River in Pendleton County. Was a sophomore in high school. He let me drink a Wiedemann can from his beer vending machine with him and my old man. Time flies.

- I bet everyone on the football hallway knows not to use Marrow’s personal *******. I’m sure it’s known he’s claimed the nice single seater at the end of the hallway as his own.

- Taking my doggies to the vet in the morning for their annual checkup. They are 11 and 12 and in great health (knock on wood), and they both pre-date marriage and three kids. Once again, time flies.

- Be nice to your family and friends. Time flies. Life is short. Love you all. Get f**ed.

Ole Miss' coach is named "Kermit" and he's white. If he was a cool black dude from the streets, he might be able to get away with such a jerkoff nickname as a professional but nope, he looks like a deacon at a non-denominational church who says things like "Aw heck" and "codsarnet!". C'mon, man. Grow up.

Not the guy I'd fire Andy Kennedy to hire.

Trust Ron enjoyed his customary porterhouse and sex.

I went with the crispy pork shank.

Harrellson led the SEC in rebounding with 9 a game and had 17 and 10 with 3 blocks against Sullinger. Is Nick Richards much better and that an awful take? Yes. Am I willing to twist stats and defend it? Yes.

Yes, 2/14/98 Ole Miss game - a/k/a the Valentine's Day Massacre - was our last loss that season.

Two weeks later I was in Columbia for the regular season finale, and the "oh ****" moments when it became apparent that team had suddenly put it together.

Made flight reservations to San Antonio that night and on Sunday returned to Lex to read the LHL, wherein Jamaal Magloire guaranteed that team would win the national championship.

That Ole Miss L sucked, but set off a nice little run.

That Ole Miss team had Rahim Lockhart, who is now an assistant for the Rebels (or whatever the hell they're called now).

Always liked that guy. Ole Miss fans seem to have a special affection for him, which is cool.

That '98 game in Columbia may be the best "light bulb" game in my memory because it ended in a championship. Not only did we lose to Ole Miss at Rupp on Valentine's day but I think the weekend before we lost at home to Florida when they had "White Chocolate". But when they figured things out against uSC, it was like Neo at the end of the Matrix.

Halftime at Vandy in ‘03, as well.

Keith Carter/Mike White turned out to be a pretty successful post-ball backcourt.

...although Florida wants Mikey out of there NOW.

-I respect the Ole Miss southern tradition & party atmosphere, but I can promise you there is no way in HELL that "Hotty Toddy" would be my rallying call if I went there. [sick]

We’ve had zero fouls. How long before the flurry of fouls called against us to get to the bonus?

When’s the last time we had a team that makes such stupid careless turnovers? They really haven’t improved on that one bit throughout the year.
