All basketballed out for the day. Between the Cats inconsistencies and my team’s injury bug that has lasted for 2 of the last 3 seasons, I’m in need for a Sunday Funday. FWIW, I think my team can get healthy when it matters. As for the Cats becoming consistent . . .

(couldn’t find the old school shrug emoji).
Anyway, Super Bowl Sunday! It’s gaudy and tacky and over produced and corporate and pretty much represents everything about sports that we mock in this thread.
But sometimes you need it. To me, it’s OK to be those things on this day if you’re a sports fan. Veg out, eat stuff that’s bad for you, invite some buddies over, and just be entertained. If you’re one of those people that is “too good” to actually enjoy the Super Bowl, then you’re a Joykill.
It’s the same as a summer blockbuster movie from the 80s-90s. You’re not watching it to be inspired or gain a new perspective about the human experience; you’re watching to be entertained and have something to talk about for the next couple of days. Experience it for what it is - mindless entertainment.
Ain’t that America, you guys?
