I’m highly skeptical of the all 4 of his daughters dying. The original report before it came out as Kobe said 5 passengers. That means he would have been flying the helicopter and had his 6 month old with him.

I can understand misspeaking. I cannot understand not coming back immediately and saying at a minimum that it's unconfirmed and they misspoke. Immediate termination should be required for whoever screwed that up and didn't think to clear it up.

I got a news alert from the Weather Channel that Kobe Bryant was dead. ESPN doesn’t even have their bottom line on right now.
Not to make light of this, but I typed in Kobe in the search box in Twitter. It said that "something went wrong, twitter is over-capacity". Kobe's last act was to break Twitter. RIP Mamba.
I always cheered for Jordan when he was in the finals, but never the Lakers. Kobe was the most feared "opponent" I've ever seen. I just felt like he was going to come out on top. Dude was just a killer on the court.

I too wish that all tv channels were wall-to-wall coverage of regular people who died that day.

You want equal time for the news to cover the deaths of four people that weren’t famous - because it is just as tragic to their loved ones. Every person’s death is just as tragic to their loved ones and thousands of people die in the US everyday. If every persons’ death is a tragic to their loved ones, then they all should be given equal coverage. This scenario plays out as wall-to-wall tv coverage of daily deaths. I’ve invested almost 1000 hours in my lifetime watching Kobe Bryant play basketball. It’s certainly tragic others died in the crash, but Kobe certainly affects me more.
