Tex was just your perfect, average, all american dude. He went into the lab to work on that Kentucky football history site to match Jon Scott, and hasn't come out since. Been about 15 years. Like waiting on the latest Dre album, it's guaranteed to be a smash hit, and worth the wait.

It’s very interesting how little we ever talk about the lost gyero posters. There are quite a few through the years with nary a mention from this thread. We just keep moving forward.

Time flies, boys and girls. 2030> will be here in a blink.

/Old Guy who always heard that from Older Guys, and thought "whatever". Found it to be true.

Impossible to explain, other than to say, time accelerates every year, and compresses upon itself.

People with kids will get it; if not yet, later.

People without will scoff. The curve will be smoother, but the drop will be steeper.

Old white guy take: those effers at ESPN are going to rue the day they suckered me onto watch Zion play three and a half minutes and then hit the bench. Plus Lonnie Walker needs a damn haircut.

Silver lining, Mark Jackson setting the record straight that Ja would have been his #1 pick.

Zion is a marketing dream, but he’d be better off as an Olineman.

285 pounds! Keep jumping Big boi.

Have to disagree there Century.
When I was younger drinking, partying, working and traveling while also partying went damn fast. Even having kids was still breakneck speed making sure everyone was happy. The last 15 years have been like being on Valiums 24/7. Just do what I want when I want and not having to worry about what anyone thinks or cares. Time actually seems to slow down when all the everyday worries disappear.
My priority list goes....
Whatever the f@€k I wanna do...

Death!

My life is boring and rarely produces an interesting post but this thread is still my best outlet for fanatic UK takes.

Please trust me on this: you get into/past your 30s, and No News is Truly Good News. I find myself saying that a lot when some dipshit asks me "how's it going?".

If your/('re) raising healthy kids and have a good and/or stable job, you DON'T want any drama, any rollercoasters, any interesting personal **** worth posting. You('re)r life is going on an upward trajectory, as planned.

So it's nothing but takes on sports and unusual life events. That's the goal.

(Or walk/run times and medals that you can post to impress your gf's husbands grandkids).

Well sure, you're even older than I am. My youngest is a HS Senior. I was talking about the child-raising years. So I expect that will soon change for me, as you described.

Apologies, didn’t know you had younger kids.
Really should have quit giving a **** in my 30’s because enabling others will wear you out.
Also would have saved me a ton of money and enjoyed telling more people to get pumped a lot earlier.

Had that conversation with several people in my office just yesterday. One of - if not - THE very best things about getting older is: you can give 0 Fs.

Yeah, you can give 0 Fs at younger ages, but not with the same degree of confidence as you can post-50.

At that point in life, they ain't many who know more, and that feels good.

UNC paying $50k to lose in the second round of the CBI is a bit of fantasy at this point. But it's important to remember no one thought UL would lose their title or have a stripper go on the radio and talk about her daughters squirting to the ceiling at the behest of the coaching staff, either.

What I'm saying is that dreams do come true sometimes

O F's is an issue in my house. My son is a freshmen and couldn't care less about anything.

Hair all messed up? WGAF
Clothes not matched? WGAF
Clothes not fitting? WGAF

I'm not the most stylish dude in the world, but come on. At least try to get laid.

-Don't you need a winning record for any post season tourney? That's going to be pretty unlikely for them. Fairly remarkable with them winning a championship just a few years back and no major coaching change. I guess the theory that the NCAA investigation was holding Roy's recruiting back was a bit off. There's no real help coming either, they have a nice class but nothing that is going to be an instant game changer.

-Speaking of train wrecks, Penny isn't there yet but he's teetering. Not so easy to manage 1&Ds is it, Pen? Miller leaving, Wiseman getting paid, Wiseman quitting the team, 40pt blow out by Tulsa:)joy:).

-Don't get this small group that is really defending Hagans like he's infallible, especially when comparing him to Ulis. We've dropped 3 of the 10 worst losses in the Cal era this season alone. Pretty sure no one is above criticism especially the team leader.

-Glad we have MSU at home even though it's sandwiched b/w a couple big games. They looked pretty tough last night.

-Don't recall a year where the KenPom title qualifiers were so few. Duke(fraud) and Kansas are the only 2 with both sides top 20. UL and MSU are close.

-Invited most of you but Sweat 4 Surgeries, benefiting Surgeries on Sunday, is Friday through Saturday. We are sponsoring the Friday 6p hour but any attendance in any of the 25 hours or donations are appreciated and stay local. Come on out, It's not too difficult, and we walked over to the bar afterwards last year for a couple drinks.
