Way out in front of this. Distilleries too. Making beer and Bourbon is apparently a pretty simple process. Once you've seen it made once, that about covers it. The reverence to Bourbon creation is a freaking joke. Oh, here's how they take the corn and water to make booze at Four Roses. Now let's go see the same process at Maker's. Cool, now let's repeat this at Buffalo Trace. Zzzzz.....

Yep. Only need to see one distillery and you’ve seen it all.

- Since Buffalo Trace was once the GTS distillery and others along the way I really feel they are truly different. Plus no one else has Freddie, and that dude should be the bourbon ambassador!

- Vincenzo’s was pretty dope for our 13th Anniversary dinner. I don’t keep up with the goings on of the high end restaurants but we wanted Del Frisco’s which has been shut down since last July, and everyone else was booked.

Going in with our 4 month old the wife’s anxiety was full blown, plus we were under dressed. But the staff was great and the food was fantastic, and the baby didn’t fuss once.:cool2:

A few old fashions, Ravioli Mascarpone, and Rack of Lamb......:fire:

- UK winning a trap game was a pleasant surprise. I’m not a “Fire Cal” dude but I’m not a super fan either, that said, when Kenny Payne does better with your team is it too much for you to change? Damn!

Once again watching a few other teams, and still feel good about our chances come March.

-Didn’t mind Louisville popping them but good luck for those of you living in Derby City.

It's not so bad. They know what's up. I'm fine with them winning. We need that and the MSU wins to really stand out.

I actually like this squad. I know they're maddening at times like most Cal teams but I see progress, if only a little, each game. One thing I would like is for Cal to call a timeout whenever we get a 12-15 pt lead and remind the team, "Hey guys, this is where we usually F **** up. Let's not F **** up this time."

Then he needs to focus on Hagans and remind him this is the point in the game where he usually pulls up for an ill advised 3 which will inevitably lead to a 3 or And1 at the other end. And also don't commit multiple turnovers by going too fast.

As long as we beat UL, I only care if they lose one other game the rest of the year --- somewhere around the S16.

I'm all for UL putting in a yoeman's work in the ACC to make our win look even better.....

Trap game ? For this team ? They are all effin trap games. Just getting a win OTR and I am happy. Even if it was a "Trap game" (it was not), how in the hell could UK overlook a 2 loss Arkansas team playing them at their place ? Krazy take Krazy.

Cue the idiot with another stupid, unoriginal, unfunny, bait post. BMSBBC.

Cats go 1-1 w/ a buzzer beating road loss & very solid Road win, and drop 5

Michigan St goes 1-1 w/ a win at home & a 29 point loss at unranked Purdue and jump 4

...rankings don't mean **** really, but that kinda crap still pisses me off.

Perhaps the voters are factoring in that Cal was not coaching when we came back in the Arkansas game, but more-than-likely will be coaching in our subsequent games.

Hate to say this, especially considering he was my favorite player no less than three weeks ago, but Hagans reminds me a little too much of underclassman Frank Mason to completely trust this team in March.

Geesefeeder chided me when I said I hoped he didn’t win Player of the Game after that near triple double but I actually think that **** blows his head up.

Cal needs shove all the efficiency analytics up his *** on a daily basis.

Good thing I do trust our other two guards in March. Think Maxey will be our first guard since A-aron to see his % rise in the Dance.

Hagans overcooks it like 5-6 possessions a game and those are typically strung together. Seems when we have a decent lead he gets careless but when the pressure is on he thrives. Cal has to find away to squash that without destroying what makes Hagans' so good.

- Controversial take- Breweries are overrated. I mean, I enjoy them for an hour but I don’t want to be tossing back 6-percenters all night.

Controversial? Huh. Just plain crazy talk.
I do agree that once you’ve seen one tour of a brewery or a distillery, that is enough, but I don’t go to breweries for tours. I go for all the delicious new and different beers the brewmaster is always developing.
So many different atmospheres. Some have games to play, some have a sports bar atmosphere. Some have great food available or food trucks. Always something new to discover! [cheers]
If you haven’t already, I would suggest going to Alexandria Brewing Company and trying the Kentucky Common. Wowzer it is good! I could drink it all night!

I’d say I resemble 17 or 2 the most. You cannot trust people who are 10 or 13.

When UK loses I’m 18.

I'm having one of those nights a few bourbons just feels, right. Broke open a bottle of 1792 SB and I'm enjoying the **** out of it. Half full, now.

Superbowl doesnt really do it for me, but I'll watch. Having a few people over (all welcome), eat some apps, drink some beer, and pretend to care about the game enough to get me out of any normal Sunday chores.

Fan of UKRob coming out of nowhere swinging at low hanging fruit. Big fan, actually.

Like Vern said, the UL win wasn't bad. I was actually cheering for UL. Felt strange and won't happen again after DS leaves.

Went on the Anheuser Busch tour in St. Louis. Nowhere to go but down from there, right?

I am glad Bilas moved on from the “pay the players” thing to complaining about the officiating. Seems like this one would be significantly easier to fix. Just give each coach a single review. They can use it for whatever they want (sans personal fouls. If they get it right, they get to keep it. No special rules within the last two minutes of the game either.

Been a while:

- College basketball is trash (unique hot take, I know), but hanging out with a big crowd on the top floor at Bear & Butcher and throwing back bourbon and collides, and with the way it ended, that was about as much fun as I've had watching a game in a long time.

- We wrap up this class with Torrance Davis and (hopefully) Drennen, that's a fantastic finish. Might even vault into the Top 15 when the dust settles.

- Harlem Globetrotters last Friday night at RUPP ARENA AT CENTRAL BANK CENTER was terrible. Old man side coming out, and I know they're not known for "playing" basketball, but they seriously stopped every 2 minutes for some kind of entertainment break, and they don't even do the tricks anymore they did when we were growing up, just basically lob up 4 point shots. [eyeroll] Even C wanted to leave at half time.

- C's first real game on Saturday morning didn't go quite as hoped. He was going up for a shot, got swatted, and absolutely lost his mind right there on the court; kind of realized in the moment he'd literally never had that happen to him before. After talking to the coach, looks like I need to go Dikembe mode a few times here and there out on the court at home, get him used to it.

- To extend the previous ATLiens takes even further, the entire album is the best front-to-back hip hop album of all time for me. Talk about nostalgia when throwing that one on.

- On that note, if you haven't already watched it, highly recommend The Art of Organized Noize. It's a doc about the producers behind Outkast's success up to S/LB, fantastic watch. Also covers essentially the entire Dungeon Family history. Originally on Netflix, not sure where you can find it now.

- Take down the lights. Seriously. January is almost over. No excuse.
