Rose is a great back and will be even more valuable when we get back to the short passing game we were using this year before Wilson went down. He fumbled 4x all year and lost 3 of them. 2 of those were in the bowl game, the one he lost probably shouldn't have been ruled a fumble. That is too many, but let's not pretend the kid was constantly putting the ball on the ground.

Rowland is actually saying the rumor is that he is announcing he is returning.

I hope he stays, but we will be fine either way.

CRod and Smoke are absolute studs and will be taking some of his carries away. Tisdale looks like a future phenom. McClain is one of my favorite recruits in this class, eventho we may see him play a lot in the slot.

At this stage, Rose is a lot better than the others at picking up blitzes and doing the things RBs need to do besides actually running the ball.

I mean, Bellarmine is a cool little program, but [eyeroll] at thinking Louisville or Mack is concerned about them.

Not now, of course not. But Bellarmine is one hire away from a guy that has no loyalty or feelings for the University of Louisville. Any competitive coach with an ounce of balls would put a target on them.

it'll take time, but will be a fun thing to watch develop IMO. I think it's inevitable.

Enjoy the ride.

Will that guy be as good as Davenport, who's elevated that program to the best in the country (at their level) that's now tracking to D1 - which would have seemed like a ridiculous pipe dream before he arrived? Doubtful

Following in the footsteps of the Norse seems like a much more reasonable expectation.

Damn, good point. Not sure a beloved catholic University in the #1 college basketball market in the country could survive without Scott Davenport.

All Bellarmine needs to do is find the next Steph Curry then boom -> they are the next Davidson. Seems pretty simple really.

Actually, as a proud alum, it was very to easy to see as this was their well advertised goal for over a decade leading up to it. Knights hit their goals, bubs. Only a few more years until UK reaches that 2006 goal to become a top 20 :joy: research institution.

My fear with BU is that Scotty leverages his power and goodwill to get his son the job when he retires. No offense to Doug, who I'm sure is a nice guy and a competent basketball mind, but HARD PASS.

It's hard to understate just how bad Bellarmine basketball was before Scotty. Maybe 500 people at every game, piddling student section, dogshit product on the court, no local interest.

To compare it to D1, imagine if Northwestern became consistently one of the 5 best programs in America. Bottom feeder school in a good basketball conference with no history of success. That was essentially Bellarmine before Scotty.

To be 100% honest, that airliner was asking for it. Why in the world were they flying there at that particular time?

I’m just gonna be sitting here enjoying Louisville try everything they can to avoid having to play the smaller school in their vicinity, recognizing that they have nothing to gain by doing so other than raising the smaller school’s profile.

I assume at some point Louisville Metro officials will get involved.

I’m all for antagonizing as many lunatics as possible. The crazier they are, the more we should F with them. What could go wrong?

Dumb Iranians can’t get free medical, cheaper prescriptions, legalized weed or asylum since the plane had lots of Canadians on board that died.

Leach to MSU.

Not that he isn't the best coach they could get, but I don't think that's terrible for UK. His teams aren't exactly known for performing well against physical teams like (this is awesome) Kentucky.

And as Adam Luckett said, MSU's personnel isn't really tailored to his offenses. Rebuild could take a while.

Can't wait for the press conferences, though.

No. F Mississippi State.

Terrible football schools aren’t supposed to fire winning coaches and get away with it. Not only did they do just that, they got a GREAT coach. Like, the best hire that school has ever made.

This sucks, a lot. F them.
