Really don't see why you can't start 3 guards with IQ because that lineup can actually produce, get a lead or establish the offense and then bring in the dickfingerers.

I said it about 20 pages ago, Quickley has been our most consistent player all year. Somebody countered that "he can not create his own shot, or attack off the dribble." BS, he drove the ball a bunch and does at the right time. If he is open, he is firing. When the opportunity presents itself, he will drive to the rim. He is the one guy who needs set plays ran for him. We have to get him four or five more shots per game. He is THE ONE who can keep the defense from sagging off and playing the middle. They have to respect his shot and if they contest, he drives. If he could get that mid range jumper to complete all three levels of scoring, he is Brandon Knight.

I greatly mind Quickley coming off the bench. He's the one guy we have who hunts & makes jump shots, and easily one of our best 4 players.

We aren't built to come from behind.
Other than Utah and Evansville are we having that problem? We've fallen behind, like last night, during Cal's weird *** experimenting mid first half.

I'd prefer the 3 guards starting but I'm good with a guy like Quickly being a great 6th man. That can be a great tool if he's in the first wave of subs but it's ridiculous when he's the 8th man off the bench and doesn't touch the court until after the under 12.

Cal always plays a lot of guys early and tightens his rotations to 6 or 7 guys come SEC play. No different than this year. He knows his best 5. Montgomery and Brooks are 6 and 7. Whitney’s playing time is dropping off the cliff.

Fun fact(?) - that gal is now Louisiana's First Lady ... *****.

Orgeron's conquebine iirc?

Only caught the last 8 minutes of the game last night after I got home. What I saw looked like a team that can make noise in this year's college basketball universe. Went back and read the in-game posts and apparently that wasn't the case in the first half. It seems like it's pretty obvious which lineup and style Cal needs to adjust to. And I think he will. But he's trying like hell to squeeze blood out of that EJ/Whitney turnip, which isn't off-brand at all (did I use that correctly? Just trying it on).

Quickley needs 30+ minutes a game and HAS to be on the floor for the last 6 minutes of the game. The way the gaps in UGA's defense opened up when that 3 guard lineup was on the floor with Sestina and Richards is the best version of this team. Those are 5 guys that can compete against anyone.

There was a time when coolio began to lose his hair but he still insisted on his patented hairstyle, and that had a strong resemblance to whatever Quickley has going on.

Had jury duty on Monday. Dude walked in a few mins behind me that looked like a 75 lb lighter version of Ice Cube back in the NWA days but into his 60's. Chisox hat, all black and the pimp walk.

And all I thought is, that dude it way too old to be trying that hard. Then, there's Coolio.

If Keith Bogans has two good ankles vs Marquette is Tom Crean still a great coach?

I’ll hang up and listen to your response.

Shew, bubbee. Got to Two Keys very early that day and secured a King of the Earth table in the middle of the patio in front of the big screen. A beautiful spring afternoon, pilsners and the good times were rolling. Nobody stood more to gain from Bogans playing on two good ankles that day, I assure you.

I just noticed this thread has a mind-boggling (to me, at least) 9,885,293 views. There have been approximately 1,710 days (IF my math is correct) since this iteration of GYERO began in early May 2015 -- which translates to an impressive 5,700 views per day.

Congrats, I guess?

Same, but at Varsity Blue.

BBdK led the most epic C-A-T-S cheer ever during the sub-4 timeout....

...then fell off the bar stool he was standing on. Also, most epic.

Leach to Mississippi State? Damn, would love to have him in the SEC. Just hate it would be at MSU, whom I hate with a passion for personal reasons.

Leach’s system was innovative and cool 10-15 years ago. Now, it’s nothing all that special, IMO. Good enough to be respectable but he’ll never have a legit team.
