Watch a few snaps of this Walk-Ons Independence Bowl and try to tell me that bowl games are just made-for-TV exhibitions and dont mean anything to these players. This game has it all.

I was returning a shirt to Lululemon today, and when I got in there I saw a pair of jogging pants that I thought my wife would like. So I went up to the sales girl and asked her if those pants have pretty good reviews, well-liked, etc.

The 25ish-aged girl thought about it for a second and asked, “well who are these for?”
“My wife”, I responded
“Oh yeah,” she said without hesitation. “My mom has a pair of these and loves them!”

Getting older sucks.

I probably know the one girl who would request to be buried in her Lululemons. GYERO once referred to her as "having more c#cks in her than Williams-Brice Stadium."

Been to lunch at Jack Fry’s, it’s fine.

Breath of fresh air having Matt back on the radio, maybe this fog of terrible UK basketball will GTFO now too.

Any good Champagne recs for the anniversary? Looking to stay under $200.

Considering there all kinds of Dom in the $150 range, and dozens of excellent bubbly for less than $100, you may as well pack up and head to France if that isn't good enough for you.

-Jack Fry's always delivers, the most old school Louisville place in town. Worship.

-We've been on Schramsberg Sparkling Wine lately. Most notably the Cremant. The Blanc de Noir is good as well. Won't break the bank in the $35 range.

-Schitt's Creek is phenomenal.

Yes, I needed MJ back on the radio to talk some sense into me. I should be very happy with Cal and his overall body of work. He is responsible for the “greatest run in UK history” and I should lower my expectations for this years team because Cal doesn’t have the same caliber of players. It’s fine.

Cal is UK’s coach for life now, and once or twice in the next 30 years, the recruiting fairy will bless him with generational talent and we will win the whole damn thing again. Can’t wait. GBB!

* Jack Fry's may be a top 10 restaurant, but their lunch is terrible. It's a completely different ambiance, the kitchen staff is new, and the menu isn't the same at all. They only serve ramen noodles, potluck, and will walk across the street to pickup Jimmy John's if you ask nicely. Weird. Beware. And good luck.

* My 13 year old dog very rarely sleeps thru the night anymore. I swear to god, I'd rather have a newborn in the house. 2am, like clockwork, he walks around, pacing back and forth. Then I take him outside to pee, and he stops along the way to crush about a quart of water. Loudly scratches himself, shakes his head, hacks and coughs. Ugh.

* The highlight of the day is when I get some quiet time in the morning to drink coffee and read or watch tv. I need at least an hour to myself, minimum. And two large cups of java. Don't get it enough.

* I'm really trying to watch The Witcher, but it's terrible.

* I agree with Cclark's assessment that the bowl games clearly mean a lot to the players, and I finalized this opinion while watching a sub-.500 MAC team take the field last night. Before leaving the tunnel, two players took sledgehammers and knocked down a large cinder block wall that they they ran over to present themselves to the crowd. I'd say they were at least reasonably excited to be there, given all that.

* Need good vehicle recommendations, but I'm trying desperately to stay under $175,000. Help!

-Clyde sleeps a lot less as well. Up making noise every morning at like 5a. Doesn't want to go out. Just walk around a bit and whine. Close to Bookers age.

You wouldn't rather have a newborn, dumbass. Trust me. Unless you'd like to do that about 4 times per night while they are screaming, crying, shitting, puking all over you.

-The cinder block wall thing was really awkward. Instead of knocking it over and rushing the field they kind of pushed it over then had to gently step over the blocks one at a time to avoid injury. :joy: Don't believe it delivered the intended intimidation.

-G had his cousins over last night and they're mostly at the age where it's loads of fun rather than constant fighting and crying. Hilarious. I remember those sleep overs when we being some of the best times.

-The slot car racetrack has been a big hit with the boys. Dixie Toys R Us had a glass case of different cars you could upgrade right next to the Nintendo section. That made for tough decisions as a 10 year old. After researching you can still get upgraded cars but I'll have to change brands of track.

Dom is great and all, just looking for something different. May give Le Grand Dame from Veuve the nod.

They make the best HO cars on the market. they're so much better than off the shelf cars it's ridiculous. You can upgrade the armitures and magnets and they'll go even faster.
