Talent, coaching, whatever aside - officiating in this sport is so bad that it’s killing it. It ruins everything.

4-5 of them will still leave for the draft. 1 will transfer. Then we reload with more #5-40 ranked players who also won't be able to shoot.
The boys played really good defense, and actually tried hard. Entertaining game after the refs quit calling 2 fouls per minute (which seems to happen at the beginning of every game...). We just aren’t very good, but the effort was there. Can’t complain.
I've been wondering the last few years whether officiating has gotten so much worse - or that it's now just more obvious because of better TV technology (HDTV, slow mo replay, more camera angles).
My nephew played high school ball in Lexington in the mid 2010s. I went to a few games. The officiating was comically bad.

I think our team can be good, maybe even great, but how can you expect to get into any type of rhythm when you are constantly whistled?
Most people agree that Cals players games flourish and expand after they leave, which I think Cal takes too much blame for and the refs get none because it’s so cliche.
