Says the guy who just bragged about being in the Netherlands for 2 weeks during the same time.

Like other world class cities, London is incredible any time of year. We were there in February this year and it was amazing, just as it was on our summer trip. I expect the Holiday season will be extra festive. :sunglasses:

This one will be an extra chore obviously, but the common sentiment around here that only KFund elite make these trips couldn't be more off. BJW represents everywhere. :100points:

I’m assuming a *very* small percentage of Kentucks even have a passport, which automatically weeds out a lot of the BJW class. Not sure if it’s a good or bad thing, but only our socially and financially best and brightest will be represented there.

So we don’t want to play IU in Bloomington but we will play Michigan in London?

Who am I kidding I’m just glad to play someone besides MSU, Duke or Kansas the first game of the season and then UL around Christmas.

Should be fun!

December won't be the first game of the season, Bub. The Champions Classic & Kansas will.

Krazy hates playing blue bloods at the beginning of every year. K

Which is why I said “besides” that game the first game of the year and UL around Christmas.

Maybe I wasn’t clear in the message but count me as being happy to play a non lower tier/midmajor between Nov 5 and Dec 25ish.

Sorry for the confusion.

I understand what he's saying and he's still wrong. We play UCLA, UNC, or Ohio St. every year during that time. We've also had games against Virginia Tech and Arizona State in the last few years.

Georgia Tech, Seton Hall, Utah, Providence, etc etc as well + the SEC/B12 challenge in the new Year.

People confuse our home schedule (which sucks) w/ our OOC schedule. EVERY team plays a ton of cupcakes at home early in the year -- throughout Cal's tenure, our overall OOC schedule has been one of the better ones each and every year.

Plus, while boring when they come in bunches, our team needs those types of games as much as anyone considering we're a brand new team every damn year.

Krazy is sick of not playing good teams. It pisses me off that we don’t play UNC/IU anymore and on top of that we used to have at least 2 quality opponents as well in addition to UL as our schedule for Nov/Dec.

We now play a good team Nov 5, and UL around Christmas then the SEC.

We are UK, and that doesn’t sit right with me. Losses be damned Id prefer to play good quality teams.

So I was originally laughing at not playing IU in Bloomington, but being able to play Michigan in London.......and then realized while typing it, I don’t care where we play good teams and I am happy to see a good team on our schedule.

Now that I think of it maybe I’ll set a meeting with a liquor distributor there and use this as a write off.

Following up on previous Spotify discussion, their personalized year-end & decade wrapups are out. Good ****.

-Man, listened to Blueprint 1 & 2 yesterday/today...had been years. :fire::flushed: Really hammers home how bad Hip Hop is today.

of that we used to have at least 2 quality opponents as well in addition to UL as our schedule for Nov/Dec.
.

WE DO DIPSHIT.

We played #1 Michigan St. to open the Season (next year will be Kansas, then Duke), and we play soon-to-be Top 3 Ohio St. in 2 weeks (next year that game will be UCLA, and then UNC again)

There aren't many teams that play 4 tougher OOC games than Michigan State, Ohio State, Louisville and Texas Tech. Throw in Utah and Georgia Tech and its a nice OOC slate.

Just UL and GaTech at home sucks, tho.

Best teams on Notable OOC Home Schedules (throwing out the Conference Challenge Games, which aren't even scheduled by the Universities, and only at home every other year)

Duke: Wofford
Kansas: Colorado
Michigan St: Eastern Michigan
UNC: Wofford
Louisville: Texas Tech
Arizona: Illinois

...need to keep going? It's not just Cal/Kentucky, folks.

You can argue that many of those teams have better marquee conference games, and you'd be correct - but that's out of our control. Teams simply aren't lining up to do monster Home & Homes anymore, that's NOT a Kentucky thing.

Last London trip involved an NFL game ending in a tie. I'll be staying away from that one.

Us, Brooksie. Us. Not just you. That Bloomington trip still pisses me off at least 3 times a year.

Whocaresaboutoccschedulsucka.

All I really need is a John Wall or AD and a final 4 every few years, a title every 7 years, the ashtray, the remote control, the paddle game, this magazine and the chair. And I don't need one other thing except my dog. Well I don't need my dog.

Went back all the way to 1997 schedules, and ultimately I think what the issue is we used to start the season around November 20, and now or at least the past two seasons have started around Nov 5.

That two week span is chalk full of crap competition, whereas in the past it was 2-3 cupcakes and here we go. Now it’s weeks upon weeks of crap after starting vs an elite team.

I did not realize OSU is on our schedule this year which is nice, but damn it feels very hard to stay interested and care about these games.

I’m just ready for meaningful basketball.
