  • L’s down isn’t classless. But Harris doing it on the Jumbotron for 15 seconds probably is.
  • Ended up taking my 11-year old daughter to the game; not sure she really appreciated Lynn’s efforts as much as she should have. I guess 3 hours of driving rain and cold will have that effect on a 5th grade girl. ;)
  • Kash’s postgame interview was pretty touching; he claimed that he never pretended to be somebody he wasn’t - and acknowledged that he wasn’t the best athlete out there. I always hated people giving him so much crap. Dude tried hard and had a good run for a kid out of Eastern KY.
  • Stoops call out of the ACC was icing on the cake. I watched the UVA-VTech game yesterday; that looked like JV football.

Outside of the Clemson game the SEC East outscored the ACC by a score of 137 - 37 in rivalry games yesterday. Look forward to next year around this time when Card fans rack up 7 or 8 more wins against subpar competition and get all cocky only to be smacked around again.

Terry will be back.

If he's 100% healthy, we're good. In a weird way, it is actually good that he got hurt so early in the season so he has more time to fully recover before fall practice next season.

Also, despite Sawyer Smith being terrible after the first half against Florida, I think the kid got hurt and tried to play through when he probably shouldn't have. If he's healthy, I still like him as a back-up.

As for Gatewood, this Catspause article from today isn't exactly helpful "It's unclear as to whether Gatewood would sit out next season, when Kentucky returns starting quarterback Terry Wilson from a season-ending knee injury."

Randos on the roster next year:

* We should be stacked next year, but we lose more than you would think -- especially upfront. We lose Calvin Taylor, TJ Carter, Phil Hoskins, Jordan Griffin, Ahmad Wagner, Stenberg (I know but still), and Kash Daniel. (And Bowden, obviously). That is 5 starters.

A lot of those guys can play. Thankfully Stoops has created depth, especially along the lines. I never, ever thought I would see that at Kentucky.

* Is there any chance Max Duffy decides to go to the draft? He will be 27 years old before the beginning of next season. Probably silly to think about but he's got an NFL leg. Two of them, in fact.

* It looks like we redshirted the vast majority of this year's freshmen. That's awesome.

We have so much to be excited about going forward. Still feels like we’re just getting started, bro.

I love the victory cigar stuff, partly because I know Mitch’s eyes get real wide when he sees it. Get the checkbook, Mitch. *grabs white neck towel, lights cigar*

We get better with the departure of Griffin and Kash with who repalces them. Devonte Robinson returns, with Bossmanfat. Oats not playing behind a slow LB will be huge. We may also get Hoskins a 6th year, which would be masaive. Duffy wont go pro. Wont be popular, but fingers crossed Rose transfers. Need him to move on, coaches will continue overplaying him.

If we can just get average QB play, we are going to knock down some huge doors next year.

That trophy is ugly. Get some checkerboards up on that *****.
“Crystal” pillars and a bronze bowl. It looks like a chandelier in a 90s McMansion.

It’s obvious, but it should be something resembling a classic horse racing trophy

Kentucky Football. Dominant power running, stifling hard-hitting defense, flawless special teams, unmatched physicality.

Ha.

"Flawless special teams", well outside of about 70% extra point conversion (should be 95%) and about 50% field goal conversion, we are flawless. One thing not mentioned for next year, we need a damn FG kicker. If not, it WILL cost us a game. Not to be negative on such a positive win, but we are far from flawless. I hold my breath everytime a place kicker enters the game. yes he made them yesterday, but,,,,,

Terry Wilson lead us to 10 wins, he will be the Qb next year, as he should be. Gatewood even if he gets a waiver (he will not, he has used a red shirt all ready), he will not take TW's starting spot. IF we get him, he will spend a year learning under TW and will have his JR. and SR. year.

9-12 months is typical recovery, Terry was in pretty good shape before injury, so hopefully he’ll recover quick, we’ll need him. Get that muscle mass back son.

There were two dirty bird fans sitting near us that were getting a little loud before Harris went down on the field. I imagine that might have also contributed to his prolonged L’s down. I mean, it’s basically a middle finger to their fan base, so yeah I approve. Their coach complaining about it is a ***** move as well.

Cant wait to see who we get paired with for the bowl.

Sedona and Scottsdale were dope. Had a blast. Miss Arizona.

Buddies slow roasted a black bear leg yesterday. Was actually really good. Very meaty flavor, not really gamey at all.

a 3rd Florida bowl in four years?

Don’t mind if we do (even though I couldn’t swing Jacksonville because of the wack Jan 2 at 7p kickoff)

Spent the day listening to Christmas Classics on Spotify, picking out two (2!) fresh cut trees and unloading six (6!) full size tubs of decorations onto my house.
