If Harris was triggered by last night’s attendance, he’s gonna go on a shooting spree when he sees the crowd for next Monday’s game against Utah Valley.

Monday night, early tip time, **** opponent, first game after the most embarrassing display of the Calipari era?

Might as well play it at Seaton Center.

-so my hong kong tailor is gonna be in town in a week or so. Good news. I thought with all the societal upheaval/human rights abuses...my god given right to acquire custom garments may be in jeopardy. Close call, shew.

We passed up open 3 after open 3 in favor of driving into the teeth of the D and throwing up garbage.

This. Sestina/Quickley passed up at least 10 between them, and Juzang had a few clean looks as well. It's a joke.

We don't get many looks period, never have -- the fact we don't take the ones we *do* get drives me absolutely insane.

-Rolleyes Re: Vegas. For me, UK playing a double header out there is an automatic pass to go to Vegas, which is always a good thing - especially when I'll have 20 buddies with me. UK games are just a bonus, and it's very possible I don't even attend them in favor of the Sportsbook.

In fact, the UK Trips, which are always a blast, are about the only good thing going with the program these days for this guy. #diamond

-How many games has SAE been to in Rupp Arena the last 5 years btw? 1? 2? Zero?

Pretty much done with the reclassifying 18-year olds. Well, at least in terms of thinking those children are going to save our program. It's ironic that anyone would ***** about John's recruiting when we just got beat at home by a bunch of 0-stars.

Go after the best guys every single year, by all means. But we need some grown *** men. 3-5 year players, grad transfers, mission serving Mormons, Europeans, dudes who forge their birth certificate, players who just got out of a long stint in the joint, whatever.

More adults, please.

Cal is helping young people recognize their wildest career dreams. Isn't that the point of college?

-If there is an itchy trigger finger on the team, it's Whitney. You can just feel when he's decided it's time for him to get one up, time/poss be damned. Brooks has a lot of value if he can stick w/ the energy/rebounding/intangibles role, but Khalil would be #8 or #9 on my depth chart of minutes if I were in charge.

I will say Chad made me feel a little bit better about everything after I learned it was the refs fault. If we can just get those guys in line we'll be fine.

5 years? Probably 2-3 tbh. My interest in the program has fallen off significantly, I'll readily admit that. That's probably why I'm so snarky all the time. The apathy bothers me. Real talk.

That's fine - just don't understand your constant gripe about the one GUARANTEED FUN thing UK basketball is doing these days....sleepy *** games at Rupp definitely aren't it.

-agreed, bm. Dont know if its a defense mechanism(low expectations=less disappointment)...or the fact that adulting is hard and ive come to realize theres *much* more important stuff to worry about. Regardless, there isnt much emotion (relatively speaking...my wife still thinks im a crazy person) when it comes to sport these days. I care exponentially more about middle school sports than uk fb/bb. Progress?

I'm just sick of players going pro who have no business going pro...see Keldon Johnson, Wenyen Gabriel, etc. There is no continuity whatsoever with the program.
Pretty much the long and the short of it. From 2009-2015 I, more or less, made peace with the trade off because of the winning.

John either needs to play a modern style of basketball (lol), go back to getting the elite of the elite, or stop acting like playing basketball at UK, the school that pays him millions of dollars, is a prison to be escaped ASAP

Jon would be a better coach than John, no question.

I mean, wtf kind of team watches no tape on an opponent? Idk if Cal is lying about that or what, but he's said it multiple times. Actually,I think said he shows him some tape like right before the game, that morning or something. Also, don't practice free throws. Slowing the game down gives you the best chance to win. HE HAS NOT RAN ONE DAMN OUT OF BOUNDS PLAY IN HIS ENTIRE UK CAREER. His substitutions are dumb. He trusts Tony fn Barbee and Joel Justus to prepare our team. Our x's and o's guy, the blonde haired f, is not allowed to talk to the team. All we run and defend is the pick n roll and it's been 10+ years and we still cannot defend a pick n roll for ****. Most of these things this guy does in and out of a game are utterly stupid as ****.

The man is a complete dumbass, or he just enjoys trolling us. I think it's a bit of both.

It doesn’t bother me that UK does the one and done thing at all. I *get it*. But at the same time, that strategy is a big contributing factor to the malaise around the program. Not the only reason, obviously, but a big contributor. For instance, last night my son asked me who it was that hit that halfcourt buzzer beater last season. I remembered the game, it was Seton Hall and we played it in NYC of course, but I had no clue what Keldon Johnson’s name was. Couldn’t remember for the life of me.
