-Stable geniuses like drxman and our current president are far too intelligent to be bothered with trivial things like the correct use of apostrophes.
-Jaden McDaniels looks taller than Isaiah Stewart.
-Those short shorts that McDaniels is wearing make his legs look even skinnier than they already are. I'm glad he's not playing for UK - I'd be sweating every time he made a move that he was gonna break his femur.
-Something about Tyrese Maxey makes me think of Gilbert Arenas. I hope he doesn't bring a gun into the locker room.

We flat out strangulated EKU tonight. We held them to a meager 25% shooting and forced 21 turnovers. The sample size is small, two games, but this is shaping up to be one of Cal's best defensive teams. All three of our guards are pests. Richards provides rim protection and Sestina is a rock. Brooks and Whitney are bundles of energy. So many solid contributors on that end.
Things still aren't fluid offensively, but we have the pieces. We have to optimize the lineups and establish some clear roles, but the potential is there to be very good on that end. I'm about to make a comparison to the 2015 team but don't take that as me saying 2020 is 2015, but the 2015 team started the season totally dominant defensively and didn't hit their offensive stride until conference play. Our defense right now can keep us or even win games against anybody right now. Once we get the whole offense thing figured out, my god, this team has outstanding potential.
-Hagans was a one man press breaker.
-Quickley has developed an aptitude for getting to the free throw line. He has 15 free throws in 2 games which by itself has propelled him to an efficient 59 TS% through two games. This is despite a rather paltry conversion rate from FG's.
-Loved Brooks energy, but I had flashbacks to Briscoe with him at the line.
-Sestina is unflappable. That guy doesn't make mistakes. What a boon to the roster he has been so far. He has only taken 5 threes through two games. I'd like to see him taking 5 three's per game.
-Gotta love Nick whipping out the sky hook! He has been very good thus far and it is mostly due to him cutting out some of the dumb stuff. He isn't making silly mistakes or getting called for dumb fouls which gives Cal less reasons to yank him off the court. I see him being a great asset in a 4 out 1 in type setup. Keep it up big man!
-Brooks and Whitney are "projects" for this season. They clearly have talent, but also they have so much room to grow. We have a solid core so that we can suffer some of their growing pains early on.
Bring on Evansville! They are better than EKU, but I expect another beatdown. Anything less would be mildly disappointing.

Sign me up for Tom Hart and Andy Kennedy for every non-primetime UK game from here to infinity. Both are hilarious and willing to screw around during a blowout game on November 8. Plus Kennedy was a solid coach in his own right. Beats the normal corporate stiffs ESPN 3D prints up in Bristol.
Also, I remember the Long Winter where Jimmy Dykes was assigned to all UK's bad games.

GD, still remember that dropped pass of a sure TD. About the only good thing Curry did at UK were those uniforms/helmet. Still have a mini with that design.

Nervous AF. I hate, and I mean loathe, UT. That streak we had with them was so damn awful that it was the point we could go up 17-0 in the 1st quarter and we knew it was a loss, but most years I really bought in that we would beat them, unlike Florida.
