Actually Matt and YouKay weren't very far apart when it came to hiring Cal. Matt didn't say he would turn in his fan card but insisted until it actually happened there would be no way UK would ever hire someone so sleazy.

I bought tickets to the UAB game from LadyCat.

Bet she got them to you lickity split.

[Hank Camacho]

The fact that hiring Calipari made that miserable shrew mad was delicious icing on a fantastic cake.

The first Friday night of college basketball season is one of the more underrated dates on the sporting calendar.

:joy:

I mean... it sucks, but :joy:.

[UKwizard]

So does that mean if he had gone to UK he could play? [laughing]

2018, not 2008.

[_Chase_]

Enjoy Penny, you little *****.

[catlanta33]

So is Memphis not winning the title now?

[catlanta33]

This won't be AS funny in a hour when we realize if Wiseman wasn't such a dumb kid, we wouldn't even remember EJ was on the team.

But it's still funny and f Penny.

[TCPUKChamps]

Well, EJ isn't playing tonight

[TCPUKChamps]

Welp...

[BristolCat_rivals158386]

Penny's got shooters.

[BBdK]

He will be officially eligible in time. NCAA are ultimately pussies on high profile issues, and this is definitely one - the pressure will be too much for them.

Plus, it's ******** anyways. If he was a 3* for Wake Forest he'd be screwed though.

[catlanta33]

They're toothless. They can't fight all these legal battles. Why it's so awesome Louisville played their game last, lost badly and now everyone is going Zona or LSU daring them to fight back.

They are done. Only a matter of time before they're taking their likeness percentage cut and working on the new college athlete payroll system.

[cricket3]

What exactly does getting a restraining order on the NCAA do? If they rule him ineligible they’re still going to vacate this game.

According to Parrish the lawyer is essentially the Maury Levy of Memphis.

[UKwizard]

Lol wtf?

[BristolCat_rivals158386]

EJ being out gonna force Cal to play modern basketball? Or just plug in the baseball honk?

This sort of thing has always worked out for Memphis in the past. I'm sure it'll be fine.

[CastleRubric]

Jason Parker.

OMG - forgot about him
He WAS moonfaced and he DOES remind me a bit of our boy

PS: Offer in hand now -- I'm moving to Lexington by early Dec or early Jan at the latest....can't F'ING WAIT to walk around your fair city and SMELL THE GLOVE

[UKwizard]

Press what may turn out being the best backcourt in the country.

[BleedBlueCats21]

Our defense is so nasty.

[BBdK]

Maybe this team will be one that doesn't sleep walk through wack games b/c our defense is so damn relentless.

[bluthruandthru]

"At least we won't have far to drive after this." -A.W.

[catlanta33]

[laughing]

This defense is going to be an absolute joy to see develop into March form. Good f'ing luck, CBB.

[cawoodsct]

Nick looks different this year. Will he continue to build confidence and become reliable?

He looks like a completely different player. That last catch and layup would have been dickfingered into the stands last year.

[cawoodsct]

Last move by Sestina reminded me of Deron Feldhaus.

Also, grabbed a loose ball and started the break. Was sure he would fumble it.

[UKCatsKing]

Hornsby was so scared of someone hurting his hand that he would only hold out his pinky weakly for you to shake. Really weird.

Also had those hands insured for a cool 1 mil, but maybe he's upped that in the last 14 years. Til inflation ATKOT.

[BBdK]

These guys have hit the rim like twice in 10 minutes.

[catlanta33]

The backed up 3pt line may be my favorite CBB change since well the 3pt line. Obviously kids will adapt but it's definitely to our advantage if nothing else will stop scrub player from going Steph Curry on us in Rupp.

[BBdK]

I doubt that, the difference is minimal for shooters - and those players that do that are just bombing from anywhere. Having 3 great perimeter defenders will though.

What it does help is spacing and opening things up for drives, etc.

[UKwizard]

Hagans breaking this press is a thing of beauty.

[wcc31]

Maxey is the guy who gets you 30 when you win by 3 and 3 when you win by 30.

[cawoodsct]

Kennedy is enjoyable.

[TCPUKChamps]

All these cupcake games need to be used to get Juzang, Brooks, and Whitney ready to play real minutes.

That's it. That's the list. I feel great about everything else.
