-If you're good enough to write for Deadspin, you can afford to take a moral stance.

Anyone willing to quit their job over what they believe and bet on their talent to find a job elsewhere has my support, and it's interesting how this move has been framed politically by folks who'd otherwise go to bat for capitalism and personal choice.

-No social media night is a stronger reminder of how old you and your friends are, comparatively speaking, than Halloween. The day starts with "7 years ago..." memories of gals you remember fondly dressed as whocaresitdoesntmatter and ends with how full their hearts are thanks to this lil' pirate. Wholesome, but sad.

-Neighborhood house was giving away chili dogs last night, apparently. I simultaneously understand what they're going for and am also completely baffled that someone would do that.

-Remote start season is upon us.

-Beyond being excited for the start of the season and real competition, I just can't get too hyped up for Tuesday night. The college basketball regular season just doesn't mean enough, and we know both teams always build towards March. No conclusions drawn.

-If I get one more piece of mail with Beshear's face alongside AOC with a hammer and sickle, I'm setting my mailbox ablaze.

Two months left in 2019. Maybe let Thanksgiving be part of one of them.

Anyone else seeing the Avett Brothers at Rupp this weekend? Those fellas always put on a good show.

I have a "Diaper Party" tonight (Read: Hoots on Dutchman's, Casino, & Frog w/ about 20 dudes). Do I bring a bag of beggin strips, or is there a hot new diaper sweeping the streets? Please advise dog dad.

I tend to agree if someone wants to quit their job over morals, ethics, or something along the lines of the treatment of employees... but they quit over blog content and advertising. I'll pump the brakes on delivering their medals of valor.

My dog was diagnosed with the sugars last week. We have to give him insulin twice a day and he has special dog food plus absolutely no treats.

For 9 years, after every walk he's been getting a dog biscuit. Now we're supposed to give him a few pellets of his special dog food. He was cool with it for the first few times, but this morning he reached his breaking point. He refused to eat it and walked away slowly. He stopped momentarily, turned his head towards me, and gave me the biggest "f--- you" look possible from a dog.

Sure, but to them, that *is* quitting over morals and ethics. If you oversimplify it, or don't look at it from their perspective, any reason someone does anything can be meaningless.

I'm not saying they're saving free speech and democracy, just that I won't mock someone who is willing to pack their bags and say I don't need this job. We've all been there. Very few of us walked out.

I started mine on the "healthy" treats about 5 years ago, moved away from the begging strips/pupperoni stuff. I still get the "Are you effing kidding me" look from time to time.

But Bully Sticks, jesus she demolishes the 12" ones in about 15 mins.

Agree. I just wont demonize the investor group at the top for wanting to trend in a different direction in the name of profitability. The site was probably doomed regardless- maybe the quick death was actually better than the inevitable slow demise.

Deadspin or not, I just dont see us beating Michigan State to start the season.

No thanks, krazy.

We mostly stick with a little handful of cherrios for an occasional good boy treat. Throw them on the ground and they eat them up like Pac Man.

Just buy them a box of Pampers unless they specify otherwise. And buy size 2 or 3 diapers, everyone buys size 1 and you end up with a bunch left over when they grow out of them.

Not sure that "hey, if you don't like our articles then just don't read them!" is a savvy business model for a website.

If you want to write about politics, fine. Write about politics.

If you want to quit your job because you don't want to be told not to write about politics, fine. Quit your job.

But don't go running to twitter to cry about the fact that there are consequences to your decisions, you dumb bitches.

My dog gets a yogurt flavored "Chewie" every morning after coming in from taking care of his business. As soon as he comes in he goes straight to the laundry room where we keep them and stands, looking up at the cabinet. They are the little 4/5 inch long bone things with yogurt in the center. He is a picky S.O.B., Kroger(s) was out of the them one day, he will not even give a liver flavored one the time of day. Kroger(s) brand $1.29 each works just fine with him. His "sweet treat", I will put about 5/6 spoons of plain Vanilla yogurt in a bowl.

Mastiff / Rhodesian Ridgeback (76 lbs.)

My perfect sports website would just stick to sports, but if they need to venture out a little they could cover any of the following which wouldn't be too controversial:
  1. Do an in depth investigation about how white RBs are discriminated against
  2. Analyze the fact that black head coaches in the NFL are actually over-represented when compared to the general population of America
  3. Do a hit piece on NBA players for not visiting Trump in the White House after they win the title.
Is that too much to ask? It's almost 2020!

It’s hard as hell being a straight, upper middle class white man in America today. They’re all out to get us.

#teamwayne

I don't like your sarcasm, PTI. Somewhere out there, there's a 10th grade boy who never got the chance to run the ball in high school because the coach just looked at him (and his white skin) and said "yeah, we're going to need you to go work out with the offensive lineman... you can be a pulling guard". That's who I'm fighting for.

I actually had a conversation with Tommy about that Wayne, regarding Mccaffrey

He's obviously a superstar, but why isn't there more pub on him being an elite WHITE tailback? That's incredibly rare, I can't even think of the last one. Alex Smith was pretty nasty at IU, but that's all that really come to mind for a feature tailback, definitely none in the NFL recently.

Ugh. Typical whiny millenial. Stick to sports, bro. No time for this political garbage.
