- Cal strikes me as the type to have the correct answers in mind, but be difficult enough early on to make it look like once he does the easy/right thing it was him leading his guys.

In reality, as the old cliche goes, he is the kind to cut off his nose in spite of his face.

-.
Perfect example being his insane insistence on starting Kahlil Whitney over Quickley all the way into SEC play. There was absolutely no on-court evidence to support this decision.

Yet, Cal loves to reference how Quickley didn't even start until half way thru the season and still won SEC player of the year as some sort of evidence that his process works. No, it just shows how idiotic it was to not start Quickley from day one.

Smoke- when a guy fumbles the ball too much, then doesn't sniff the field rest of year, you can see it coming.

Looks like we've got a lot of roster spots to improve this team.

BBDK gonna have as many ex-wives as Elon has kids? I swear my next will be through the Czech meet and greet. I keep getting bombarded on Twitter with invites to get to know these lovely ladies.

@klambert6 don’t worry bud, I don’t think there’s such a thing as a “weed” bender, if so I’ve been on one for 2 decades minus a couple years here and there when I was an RN or dating a gal that was very against it 🙄.

Bhad Bhabie is a legend, man. She plays up that "heel" status to perfection, and has evidently become filthy rich in the process.

link: Claims to be worth $50 million

Even if she's 95% lying, she's still rich AF. All be just be cartoonishly and unapologetically hateable. As a wise man once said "don't hate the player, hate the game."

I hope he plays. I understand if he doesn’t….mainly to get healthy if he is banged up that bad. I’d like to think I’d play but if you put $30mm in front of me, I’d prob sit.

For maybe the first time since I became a parent my Xmas shopping is basically done by 12/1. Pretty great feeling. The kids lists were pretty easy. Had a couple of custom baseball accessories that needed to be ordered early, but other than that the kids provided us with very manageable items this year. Oldest is getting 90% baseball gear (custom elbow/leg guards, school team gear, etc). 11yo just wanted miscellaneous college and nba jerseys. Daughter wanted clothes/kid jewelry. And the baby is super into Daniel Tigers Neighborhood, so he’s getting a lot of Daniel merch.

Our elf returned this morning as well. That little rascal. My daughter (8) is the only who still buys this **** but her brothers begrudgingly go along with it on the occasions he brings them a treat. The baby will probably grab him and yeet him across the room at some point and she’ll have a heart attack. It’s totally annoying and I understand completely why non-parents rip on it, but the young kids absolutely eat that **** up.

I don’t use Spotify at all. I used to use Amazon music until they f*cked it all up. Now at work I’ll just sit in silence and ponder every decision I ever made.

I know I’m in the minority, but I like Kentucky’s tie-in to horse racing. It’s what makes Kentucky unique. UFlorida plays up their swamps. UTexas plays up their ranches. Why can’t we play up horse racing? In fact, I think the MVP of the governors cup should be draped in a shroud of roses like the derby winner. Lean into it. I even wish Kentucky was the thoroughbreds instead of the wildcats. What a lame Disney-channel-*** movie nickname. the checkerboards never bothered me either

Shorts:

Let’s keep this tidy-

- This college basketball season is weird, man.

- Kegs n Eggs Saturday morning?

- Seriously tho - man I wish I could get morning drunk at some Irish pub Saturday.

- I could easily break Anth’s household by charging Sloot a premium on my UK wedding coozies.

- Looking forward to snaps from Euro-dK.

- My favorite new IG follow is a dog chiropractor.

- Yeah PTI can run far and long but his toes are disgusting.

- Really wish I could have seen Jared Vanderbilt play at UK. Love that dude.

- Is it as simple as Cal needs a great PG? I mean ****, we haven’t had one in 5 years.

- Underrated Cincinnati Christmas Tradition - Arnolds (circa 1861) going with Christmas Ales on every tap. I plan to get there at some point with my Arnolds beanie on of course.

- Bought wife an Apple Watch for Christmas- what exactly are the benefits of this accessory?

- Cal’s teams are ALWAYS 2 guards light and 2 bigs heavy. His lineups are **** and they’re also hamstrung by his team-building.

- Wife and are taking a long weekend to Chicago this coming May. Any suggestions on areas and/or hotels?

-drunk sloot made quite the scene accusing the Loge Staff of stealing her koozie. Thought she was going to fight me over it. B$ and her tied one on. There may or may not have been some solid security cam video footage deleted from the post game. 😉

-as much as I hate to say it, if going in May, you might as well visit Wrigley. Wouldn't be the worst place to stay either as I think you'd dig that neighborhood more than Downtown. Great time to visit. Bavettes, Girl and the Goat, Topolobampo, Sienna Tavern, 3 dots and a dash, Jake Melnicks, Field Museum.

Liggins was the player that was depicted as riding a unicycle because it closely symbolized his style of dribbling. The illustrated picture provided with said description would probably be unwise to repost in today's climate as it was that of a primate on a unicycle.

FTR, I have no memory of a MattsCat Sheray production but in fairness I blocked out a lot of that period of time regarding UK basketball. The only tricycle image I can recall is that of the person (Cooper?)that hacked 80's email.

Anyone got restaurant recommendations for downtown Knoxville? Staying there this weekend and right now the plan is walk to Market Square and randomly pick a place.

I went to Wrigley for the first time back in September. We went to Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse for one of our dinners. I know it's a tourist spot, but they had this crispy polenta with a mushroom sauce that was beyond phenomenal. My entire meal was great.

We met a dude w/ a nice leather KU coozie at Champions Classic, and he referred us to this site:

Ordered a couple UK ones at the bar, arrived 2 days later. Pretty dope Collegiate section -- guessing many of you already are beyond familiar, marcus welby Richie's personal page.

Their stuff is dope. And not that I need one but love these too:

I know him well enough that he'd never eat at Harry Caray's. For ***** sake.

What he hell would he know about an Italian Steakhouse?

Had to google Harry to see if he was even Italian, and even though he takes on more of a Romanian look from his mother he is Italian by his father’s side.

Even more interesting is he spent more time as a broadcaster for the rival Cards than the Cubs, and apparently had an affair with one of the Busch daughters which is why his contract wasn’t renewed to continue calling games for St Louis.

Today there was a used condom on the ground in the parking garage I use for work. I decided to take a photo of it to send to a few of my colleagues. As I was stationed over the condom, trying to zoom in and get the best angle, the door to the street opened behind me. I was kind of embarrassed, until I turned around and saw it was a local bum who I have gotten to kind of know. He doesn’t give a f**k about much. He asked me what the hell I was doing, so I told him. He said, there is basically an orgy right here every night, you should come and take some pictures then.
