Wallace was, is, and will be great. Worship.

He also had two separate chances to put us up 3 w/ 10 seconds or less to go & and missed both opportunities...and had two awful turnovers in OT. Not a "dumb take" at all to acknowledge that, it's fact.

^ and had he not, we'd 90% have won the game despite Cal, and instead be talking about a gritty win in our first test.

-Livingston starting is just typical 5* Cal ****, and entirely pointless. Love the guy, and he'll be good, but he has no business starting. He's an 8th man at best on this team.

-Reeves/CJ were 3-14. Doesn't bother me a bit. Neither can shoot enough for my tastes, and they absolutely need to be out there together.

-Wheeler played well, again. The hate for him is reaching Raftard levels around here. He will have PLENTY of games where he deserves it, for certain. But He's had 2 really good games to start his season, and he was easily one of our best players Tuesday.

-Toppin was OK. He'll be fine...he's going from basically no role at all, to a primary one -- and pressing a bit. He'll settle in, has all the tools, and always plays hard.

Think everyone will look much better if we can actually field a healthy team for a bit, for once. Our team is loaded - but that game is all on Cal, per usual. Running a rusty Collins out there in crunch time while Reeves/CJ take turns sitting is just malpractice. I mean CJ was on the bench for the game winning desperation possession to end regulation....LOL

Too bad you'll be running a race with 15 other people in Possum Hill, Oklahoma.

There it is.

Hate to tell you this Vern, but teams know how to defend Floppy. They ran exactly zero plays to get either of them an open shot.

But keep on waving the Cal flag. To quote Ron Burgundy... I'm not even mad. That's amazing.
Fredrick played 32 minutes and he had 5 pts, 0 rebounds and 0 assists. Reeves played 22 minutes with 5 pts, 1 rebound and 1 assist while going 1-7 from the field. They were a combined 2-9 from 3.

Cal deserves plenty of blame. He was outcoached. We weren't prepared as well as we should have been, but neither Reeves nor Fredrick played well. Wheeler did much more for us than both of them combined.

Do I want to see more of Wallace, Reeves and CJ together? Hell yeah! But Wheeler got us going and was the main reason along with Oscar that we were still in that game.

We have **** to work on and straighten out. Cal has to much better in end of game situations. But I still like this team very much and I firmly believe they will figure it out much sooner rather than later. Sorry for the optimism.

The arc sails on!

Reeves, our leading scorer entering the game, played 22 minutes out of 50.

I don’t think this needs to be said but it might need to be. Even if he’s having an off night you want your leading scorer to play more than damion Collins who is fresh off his fathers death. Ill go as far as saying even if his father was alive he still played too many minutes against a physical Michigan St team.

Also I would love to see the lineups reeves shared the floor with for his 22 minutes.

Fredrick was awful.

I still want him playing 32 mpg and launching 8 threes a game. Probably my favorite player on the team although Wallace is right there.

But I’m tired if hearing he didn’t get good looks. We have dudes burying **** looks against us every game.

Fredrick and Reeves need to hit them. Three-point shootin is a bottom line industry. We can’t have our two designated shooters **** the bed together.

Cal more or less got the rotation down last year.

The issues were:

- Too many midrange jumpers
- Too much Wheeler in crunchtime halfcourt
- Not enough 3s for a good shooting team

Anyway, hoping he can at least get the rotation correct this year - starting tonight.

I remember when Shai was traded for Paul George and thinking "there's a pretty good chance he ends up being BETTER than Paul George." Not to mention Gallinari and all the picks and whatever else got tossed in.

And here we are. He can flat out ball.

-Twins name Brady and James- We made an agreement before we had kids she would name girls and I could name boys. The only thing I won.

-I think we have little chance in the long run with Athlete’s Advantage running the NIL thing for UK football. I have worked with them and UK football players. Fred seems to do a great job with the players and getting contracts done. However, the owner of AA just isn’t good with the basics. Like doing what he says he’s going to do. Don’t know if he is so busy, forgets or just doesn’t care. Either way he has burnt his bridge with me. So I am assuming there are plenty of others burned as well. It’s bizarre.

-It feels like UK keeps us all in the L column these days. We pay these coaches a TON of $ to get results the average GYERO man could get.

-Brady heads to Lexington in January for school. Took a semester off after graduation.

Had a client trying to get them for his daughter for hours yesterday and no luck. He said some front row tickets are already being scalped for 17K, no idea if that’s true but I tend to believe it.

As with any popular ticket these days, It's a complete sham-- just multiplied x100 for her.

Already resigned to the fact i'll be making a Secondary Market (10 year) Mortgage-style Payment for them next spring.

Hey Vern, Cal has said many times to blame him and not the kids because it's not there fault. Not very Cal apologist to not listen to him.
Blame him. I don't give a ****. I'm just saying there's plenty of blame to go around. The loss was a team effort.

Upstate NY “cities” are shells of their former gilded-age awesomeness. There are towns that are still quaint and nice, but generally- if you find yourself in Syracuse, Troy, Rome, Rochester… they are gross.

Saratoga a glaring exception. I love that town/city. Enough horse money and Springs that make it unique and worth a visit along with a summertime dip in Lake George. (Chautauqua, Cooperstown, Finger Lakes also “fine”)

Upstate is absolutely beautiful, but without the once thriving industry of yesteryear - their cities have no purpose or chance of coming back.

There's been a position in the CRE industry posted on Linkedin for months that requires a relocation to Dayton, OH but comes with a $240K signing bonus.

I can only imagine the contractual terms involved but Christ how bad is Dayton these days? Never been.

I generally like every decent sized town I’ve been to but Dayton is terrible.

There is a surprising amount of good looking women from there, though, for some reason.

Went there for a soccer tournament a few years ago. Epitome of “Rust Belt.” Definitely a sad and depressing place - even more so than Ohio usually is.

Had a buddy that lived in Centerville/Dayton visited twice and yeah it’s awful. He bounced as soon as a banking job came open in Louisville. My brother was born there so I guess technically he’s not a Kentuckian which is a relief to us all.

My cousin owns the Clifton mill in Clifton, OH… just a bit away from Dayton. I’ve also done the Dayton Air Force base marathon. Those 2 sites are about the only things worth visiting.

I once saw an episode for The Best Thing I Ever Ate and the item was a ribeye from The Pine Room (I think) in Dayton.

I thought the Air Force kept the alien wreckage at the Wright-Patterson Airbase outside of Dayton. That's gotta be worth at least a little something. Maybe that's why the chicks are unusually hot.

Also, chicks in upstate NY are fugly.
