…and the bluest blood of the game comes out of the veins of the Wildcats.
~Tom Leach~

Loved seeing the Kansas fans streaming out when they knew they were done.

Yes! What a win; just what this team needed. What we all needed as well.
Felt good to not be worried the entire game.

Cats!! 💙

Absolutely over the moon for Keion Brooks. Good for you, bubby.

We get anything near that kind of production at the 4-spot, it won't effing matter.

One of the best defensive performances I've ever seen out of a Cal squad. Looked like we actually scouted these dudes. 😲 Switched effortlessly and kept a majority of the dribble drive action in front of them.

We're a problem. FFS.

Not one guy played poorly. Nary a mistake.

… which is nice.

effing Nor’Easter delayed both my sofa and Seagrass 16 delivery. Blessing in disguise. Got to concentrate on cayuts.

I’ve got some other bottles on hand 😜😉

Quick before getting out takes:

- Keion figured out exactly how he needs to play. Part of the reason Toppin has better games is that Toppin doesn't force anything.

Keion would get the ball at the top of the three point line and drive and force a long two, get stripped, or get blocked at the rim.

Today, he got it in the same spot, but passed off and got to the FT line extended and let others create for him...and he crushed it. Gives him a much better shot and puts him in much better rebounding position.

- I've said it before, I know a lot of folks are clamoring for more threes...but I love the balance we have.

Both us and Kansas went 6-18, not bad, not great. But we dominated because we don't have to rely on one thing.

- Tyty had 2 points on 1-9...but just with him in the game changes who we are. Five assists, doesn't force, and almost always makes the *right* pass.

- I f***ing love beating Kansas.

- There is NO ONE like our fan base. GBB chants coming through loud and clear at Allen Fieldhouse, one of the toughest places to play with College GameDay in town and in primetime? Just special.

- Usually I go BJW and want to be ranked as high as possible every week...but I like this team being slept on, think they relish it too.

- Cal's wink to Grady during the timeout was dope.

Also, I thought this was by far Oscar's best defensive effort and was a huge reason we mitigated Kansas in the halfcourt.

Scouting report (and rightfully so) was that big O could be exposed in the pick and roll action and that the dive would be available. Obviously he's been a tenacious rebounder all season but Auburn really went at him a lot.

Well.... KU attacked him a bunch, too. However, he was just tremendous in recovering and negating the lob action unlike with Kessler. His high ball screen help and hedge tonight was 💯. It was clear the defensive effort really took them out of any kind of rhythm. They were off balance all night with Agbaji and Braun never getting any room to attack.

Someone posted earlier in the week that Oscar's ~1.3 SPG is very underrated and they are right. Man is incredibly aggressive on entry passes and when hedging screens.

I was more impressed with our defense tonight for a litany of reasons. Don't even feel like we played that well offensively. Also don't feel Kansas is a top 5 team.

None of what I posted above really matters, we just wire to wired KU at Phog Allen and would have done the same to AU last week were it not for injury. Bilas is right, we legit.
