I’ve definitely never had a maggot infested trash can and I’ve lived with some slobs, what’re you all throwing away?

Best way to watch a Bengals game is to not watch a Bengals game, in my opinion. Guess some of you all don’t mind that Tennessee orange on their jerseys…

This isn’t a schtick cuzzy bubba, everything out of Ohio is abysmal and everyone knows it*, they just grew up liking a team before they realized that and can’t change now.

*except Chad and Willy.

If Joe can get this win tomorrow, and I think he will, he’ll become the most significant sports figure in / from Cincinnati since….?

I don’t think he’s just going to win tomorrow, I believe he’s going to set some more records. I have never seen a quarterback in orange stripes do what he does, and that includes Palmer’s best years. I don’t remember Boomer too well, because I was a dorky kid who only read books and didn’t get into sports until high school.

2015 broke me, but I think I’m close to being fully back. Tomorrow will seal the deal, I think.

I’ll be as erect as Bruce Coslet watching Jeff Blake go deep to Carl Pickens.

Who Dey, motherfu**ers.

What’s the good bengals bar in columbus chumps? I’m fully recovered from COVID and ready to party. When I moved to America we moved to pristine Cincinnati, OH. Within a year I was introduced to the Ickey Shuffle, was singing welcome to the Jungle, and thought Boomer Esiason was the coolest thing since the other side of the pillow. Had a Chris collinsworth poster on my bedroom wall. Joe Montana made me cry at the end of that Super Bowl. Their decades of horrific play and me moving from Kenwood Apartments and the Queen City slowly made me lose interest (and trashy NFL fans), but the Bengals will always hold a special place in my heart as the first sports team I cared about. If they win tomorrow it’ll be the first playoff win since I was 6. Who Dey!

So I normally go to Gallos on Bethel Rd. There’s not a good Bengals-centric bar like there are Browns and Steelers unfortunately. Gallos is great though.

Ya WTF is with all the Browns fans here, way outnumber Bengals fans. Always found it odd. I married into an insane Steelers family so it’s nice to talk a little trash for once.

STFU, already.

Malone’s is my favorite spot in Lexington now. Front row for the game tomorrow. Pretty excited. But I can’t deadlift 80 pounds. Oh well, I’ll survive.

Bengals fandom does’t spread out far, in my experience. A good buddy I work with is from Dayton, and he’s always been a Browns fan. Says there are a lot of Browns fans in Dayton. WTF is that?

Hell, Northeastern Kentucky is all Steelers fans.

This is why Joe was sent here. To deliver us from this eternal place of wailing and gnashing of teeth. We will be delivered, boys.

As a Raiders fan, I feel like I can't lose tomorrow. Thoroughly enjoy watching the Bengals play and I really like Joe Burrow. I, of course, want to win, but will not be sad at all if we lose.

My only request is that you touchers don't immediately fold to KC if you do win. Those cocksuckers have it coming to them.

i can’t STAND the word “maggot” - and you water heads used it 12 times in the first 3.5 posts on this page

i also HATE the word “cockroach” - so please - post accordingly

“I used to love her....but i had to kill her ...”

Game time set for the UT event with UT savant brother #3 tomorrow - psyched -

I’ve learned that i am “Long Waisted” in terms of my body shape ....didn’t know that was a thing - but it makes sense now that i’ve stopped wearing shirts that are shamefully short on me....basically i’m cylindrical and can wear a belt at varying points along my body

Bought a full on - pretty nice poker set for my brothers and another long time friend down here in Claiborne Co, TN // Bell Co, KY

i am NOT good at poker but it’s fun with the right ppl (which eliminates serious poker players because they get PISSED when you break protocols and traditions during the game....or “forget the rules”)

Risk was always a big family board game with my dad / brothers for years - my standing record is roughly 1-39 ....i’m always red ...tried to swap in dungeons and dragons dice last game and surprisingly pissed 2 brothers off at once — big brothers never stop being big brothers i guess

Winchester has one of those liquor stores where there’s also a small little bar on the back w/pool tables and stuff....i’ve started going there when i’m close to FED THE FK UP WITH WORK...and the conversation is always really pleasant.....

it’s funny how you don’t think of your upbringing as unusual when you’re just ignorant of the world at large - i’ve learned to be grateful for several things about my background (mostly b/c of good people for parents) — but the amazing self destructive/stubbornness that seems so much stronger down here is just a head scratcher -

and the powerful geomagnetic draw to the mountains as a source of peace - funny how that gets in your blood

Middlesboro PO-lice showing off their first rate devotion to the LAW and the ORDER as always - a series of roadblocks and RANDOM CAR SEARCHES are apparently in effect for — wherever and whenever the FK they want to have them ....idiots have a lottery system to award the LEO with “the most arrests” - with a nice vacation

i resent them , man

i seethe at most of them and truly believe they are FAR worse than the hillbilly stereotypes and petty criminals around this area (contract killers, wholesale drug dealers and human traffickers notwithstanding)

and they’ve just argued and received this significant funding increase for additional radios - 2-3 new squad cars - and 2-3 new suburbans and i THINK additional off-road type vehicles- Why you ask?

because Lincoln Memorial University in harrogate has grown substantially and now that Middlesboro is wet — there are BARS OPENING UP ON CUMBERLAND AVENUE -

yep - these mouth breathing DRUG SELLING booger eating EVIDENCE ROOM RAIDING roid-niks ......are going to post UP outside the artisan pizza/ craft beer joint because....COLLEGE DRINKIN

But let’s be nice and say nice things now -
watching Justified again - that show makes me want to be just a little less book smart and more ....self sustaining ....with explosives

someone told me netflix has a show called “hillbilly eulogy” (sp?) that may also provide entertaining portrayals of Appalachian Americans such as some of us - anyone seen that?

Spent half of this last week fighting with my own company lawyers.... the “I MUST WIN EVERY CONVERSATION AND SURRENDER NOTHING” mindset really makes me want to into a full blown ape-**** blackout postal trauma Jack Torrence rage mode

i had a LOT MORE posted here but - i’m trying to be more concise in 2022 -

Browns and Steelers have been around longer. Lots of rooted Browns/Steeler fans.

There's a smattering of Bengals fans in the western end of Kentucky. When the Cardinals left St. Louis, that left the Bears and Bengals as the two closest teams.

Revisited this topic with a lifelong friend last night
we’re both from Middlesboro and devout UK fans

but he loves the damn dallas cowboys
and i’ve always been a steeler fan — used to be RABID fan too

everyone i knew growing up was either a cowboys or steelers fan

cincinnati was a serious menace in the 80s and in retrospect i REALLY liked those Ken Anderson / Boomer teams - they had tough running backs and stubborn defense

another quirky NFL tidbit - back in the day the media actually infested time into marketing the “Rivalry” — between the NFC and the AFC .....like when ppl actually watched the Pro Bowl — i remember Cosell and others talking about the GRUDGE between the conferences

My dad is a Browns fan because he was one before the Bengals existed and didn't switch which I can totally respect.

My stepdad switched when the Bengals came, went to both Super Bowls and had season tickets at Riverfront until Mike Brown priced him out with PBS.

i went to cincinnati once since moving to lexington/winchester -

and what jumped out at me was how the people all looked angrier and the women were universally uglier

i do appreciate big10 football in inclement weather tho
and kings island was cool when i was 12
and Wright-Patterson AFB is fascinating

I dont know much else about ohio

i suspect they’re actually jealous of the lack of character their state seems to have AND the innate charm that their southern neighbors naturally exhibit

and they’re probably mad about all their ugly women too -
damn son, i would be

Cincy needs to address those damn leotard flash dance fever looking costumes they frontin though

seriously man — there is a FINE LINE between a uniform - and a damn costume
and The Bengals need to stand down with what they got going on

for the love of Mike (Webster)

I see the Titans are forgotten again. I mean, I get it, I’d probably forget them too if I didn’t decide to be a fan of them because I liked their stadium as a kid at the MCB against Syracuse.

Legal may know the Marshall Co contingent but there are a shitload of Steeler and Cowboy fans in Paducah.

There are a lot of Titan fans but they aren’t as dominant as they should be, being that close. One reason is the local CBS station for far WKY is based in Cape Girardeau MO. The Chiefs get all the games when they aren’t on M, Th or Sunday night. Titans get a few on the doubleheader days but the Steelers get their fair share also.

Yep. My 6th grade teacher was a 23 yr old UK fan and absolutely beautiful! It broke the hearts of the boys in class who were UofL fans when they found out she liked UK.

Only to see her get fired because she accidentally let it out that she was living with a guy and a kid mentioned it to his mother and she raised hell.

She went on to marry Jim Fregosi (manager of the Louisville minor league baseball team) who would eventually manage the Philies in the 1993 World Series.
One of my best friends in grade and high school is her nephew. Was home from college one Christmas break at the Boiler Room Bar. My friend came in and walked up to me and said, "I'd like you to meet my aunt's husband, JIm Fregosi."

I said, "Get the f$ck outta here, you don't know Jim Fregosi." Jim promptly said, "YOU get the F^ck outta here," and handed me his Phillies business card. One of the coolest nights ever talking baseball with him. I kept that business card in my wallet for a good 10 years.

See now - my older brother that was a fellow Steeler fan — converted to being a Titans fan when they pimped themselves into Tennessee

He’s a devout Vols fan and apparently felt it was. his duty

That bothered me almost as bad as how Tennessee (and Jacksonville separately) came into the AFC central division via the Houston Oilers. — DEFINITELY A STEELER RIVAL — and we’re pretty damn tough right away

Liked Eddie George and McNair

Did Wyvern snort adderall last night or something?

* Javon Baker would look fantastic in anthracite, chrome, and checkerboard, imo. We need at least one more transfer at both WR and CB.

Baker could be a guy in the Kelvin Jospeh / Dare Rosenthal mold who comes here for a year after transferring from an SEC power and heads directly to the NFL. That isn't my favorite niche for us to corner in the market but it certainly is not a bad sales pitch for the future, either -- especially as roster turnover in football is only going to accelerate with the portal and NIL.

* Rick Barnes is 8-7 against UK since Calipari has been here. We also haven't beaten a Top 25 team in a shockingly long time. With our floor general back and Rupp likely to be jumping today, it seems like an excellent day to exorcise some demons.

I'm glad we are tipping at 1 pm instead of noon so hopefully the crowd will be there from the jump and ready to go. This could be the day Rupp Arena gets her groove back and we beat the everlovin' dogshit out of a rival while the Faithful go insane.

In my dreams last night, it went a little something like this:

-Well, this whole Rok Island Fest has been interesting. If you’d have told 16 year old rogue he’d be living in Florida touching off and picking up Warrant to drop them off to play music then picking up Winger to take to the hotel and stopping by my house to grab some weed for Brett Michaels and his band he’d have looked at you and laughed. Weird.

Today I’m scheduled to pick up Cheap Trick and Skid Row 😂. I couldn’t give less of a care about any of these bands but it is funny seeing 60 year old dudes with died jet black hair, line beards, skinny jeans with wallet chains, military boots and ripped up t-shirts. Do your thing boys, these crowds still eat it up!

-Planning on walking the dog by my friends house again to explain to him how to talk to people. Good news for you is if he kills me I don’t think I can post anymore.

Boy, there won’t be a dry eye in the house tonight. Whatever tribute they come up with will never be enough for what that guy has done for UK. Can’t wait to see it when someone posts it. He’s been associated/part of UK since basically most all of us have been alive.

Cheers to your kind soul Joe B! 💙
