The Lakers have now traded Rajon Rondo three times. I’m sure he’ll be back in gold and purple next year!

My now wife had to pay for supper on our first date bc she had never heard the word toboggan used as a beanie. She said it was a sled. She was confident the waiter would agree with her. He didn’t. She was floored. I crushed later that night.

No wonder she stuck with you. If your first date was that exciting, I bet the rest of her life has been a blast.

  • Since 1949, UK has a losing record against 18 teams out of 241 total opponents
  • Against those teams we are 31-60.
  • Of those 18 teams, 11 of them we've never beaten.
  • Only 1 of those 11 (USC), we've played more than once (we're 0-3 against them)
  • 1 of those schools (City College of NY) doesn't have a basketball team any more
  • Responsible coaches for schools we've never beaten:
    • Rupp - 2.66 (2 of 3 losses to USC)
    • Hall - 2
    • Cal - 2
    • Billy G - 2
    • Tubby - 1.33 (1 of 3 losses to USC)
    • Pitino - 1
    • Sutton - 0
  • We have a perfect record against 162 teams
  • 73 of those teams we've won multiple games against
  • Miami of Ohio (15-0), Xavier (13-0), Eastern KY (12-0), Morehead St (11-0) and Cincinnati (7-0) are the top 5 programs in terms of perfect record and most wins (we kind of own that region).
  • From an SEC perspective, some notable stats:
    • Georgia: 112 wins (most wins against any opponent)
    • Mississippi: .892 winning percentage (highest against any SEC school)
    • Oklahoma and Texas (undefeated against both future SEC schools)
    • Tennessee: 149 games (most against any opponent, but lowest winning percentage against any SEC opponent - .678)

Alabama is going to be able to rest their starters for most of the second half, keep 'em healthy and fresh.

The second game should tenderize Alabama's championship game opponent nicely.

Note the lack of a cherry. Because I make them correctly.

It’s not that I want Alabama to win bc of some SEC allegiance it’s just nice to see the cocky outsider get their **** pushed in and feel what we deal with week in and week out
Except my non-SEC friends think these bowl games have proven the SEC isn’t so great you know since we’re 1-5 or whatever so far.

I know some of you report completely opposite experiences, but anytime I've been around other SEC alum/fans and UK basketball comes up, they universally root against us.

Regular season, tournament, title games -- it doesn't matter. They hate us. So for me, eff em.

I like Saban because I respect the hell out of him. So I cheer for Bama. I liked that LSU team that won the title too. I’ll root against Florida, Tennessee or Georgia all day though, although I’ll make an exception for Georgia if they’re playing Ohio St.

I want a close game, and F4 shouldn’t be blowouts.

I’ll cheer for Cinci to give me something worth watching in the 4th quarter, but Ridder is shook back there.

Do we? Cinci is taking players from Michigan, FSU, Bama?

Whatever. I have no worries about Cincinnati at all no matter if they by default make the playoff or not!

I want to see a worthy football game, nothing more nothing less.

But I absolutely think UGA takes Michigan to the cleaners tonight.

Okay then. I fvcking hate Cincy, and they can't lose by enough.

They've done pretty damn well though. They're a lot better than I thought they were.

Don't think they'll win, but they've bled a lot of clock, and they've had a good game plan on defense.

The Mayo/Miracle Whip controversy is very weird to me.

I love Duke’s Mayo. I will repeat that for the reading challenged. I love Duke’s Mayo. I use it most of the time, but I didn’t even know mayonnaise existed until I was in upper elementary school and I had it at a friend’s house.

My mom hated Mayo and used only Miracle Whip, so I grew up on it. We were not poors.I (gasp) like both.

There are some things that that I still use Miracle Whip for.
I would bet that all you who are proclaiming Miracle Whip repulsive and disgusting, wouldn’t even know it is in some of the things I use it in.

I also like yellow mustard and brown mustard and honey mustard. I like ketchup, and tomato sauce and tomato paste. I had no idea liking one condiment forced you into hating another.

My favorite Miracle Whip thing that I will never give up is a Thanksgiving Turkey sandwich with miracle whip, salt, fresh ground pepper and cranberry sauce.

* I will always root for SEC teams over outsiders. The stronger the conference looks, the better our wins look, sooo
Go Bama, Go Georgia, but especially Go Cats!

*Happy New Year to all! I don’t talk about personal things in public much, but this year has been the toughest of my life. I am moving forward the best way I know how and checking in here always brightens my outlook.
This thread makes me laugh every day and helps keep me other oriented, rather than folding in on myself.
Sincere best wishes to all for a much better 2022. 🎉🍻🥳😊
