Made French Onion soup tonight. I recommend the NYT recipe for it. But a word to the wise, use a good brandy for it. Rémy Martin for example. And I know you bumpkins love your distilled Kentucky corn water, but give Cognac a chance this Christmas as a nice change of pace.

I thought that it has already been decided that soup is not an acceptable option for supper around here.

I, too, made soup. Creamy chicken spinach tortellini. Hit the spot

Julia Child's recipe is my favorite French Onion soup.

I had brown bean soup for dinner tonight. Had a big family Christmas lunch, so a bowl of soup was perfect for end of day.

It actually paired pretty well together. We often have sweet potato fries with burgers and butternut squash has a similar sweet orange vegetable flavor profile.

If you want to put your money in a freezer I can send you my venmo instead!
That’s why I was asking lol.

Now if you talk bad about my cold tub (flip top chest freezer) converted into a cold tub with filter to rotate the water and thermometer to tell the freezer when to kick in and off to regulate the temp at a nice 44 degrees then we'll have a problem.

UNC fans are as salty AF about this loss...kind of surprised, thought most would be relatively indifferent about it...given it's a December game that wasn't supposed to happen and they aren't that good anyway.

Nope. They're pissed.

Good. F*** 'em.
I would be incredibly pissed. As salty as I’ve been with Calipari lately, that was inexcusable on their part. At least once, maybe twice? they let our 5’4” PG get an offensive rebound off a missed FT. That shouldn’t happen in basketball.

And I’m here for it.

-Anth/Sloot, your guys Christmas pictures are simply fantastic. What a beautiful family you guys have made.

-UK is still a football school.

-If anyone is interested, there will be an NIL dinner here in Lexington for business owners in January. Several football players, coaches, etc. If you're interested in attending, hit me up.

-House a few doors down sold for over $150K+ more than I would have ever expected it to sell for. When seeing the listing price I had a good chuckle and said those fools will never get that. Went over their asking and I'm the fool. When is this housing market going to normalize? We've had numerous folks knock on our door and ask us if we want to sell our house. I'm starting to think about just selling it, profit, and live out at the farm for a year until things normalize or the market corrects itself. It's got to happen at some point, right?

-Family Christmas with the Hubers last night. Some of them are UofL alumni. Had many laughs at their expense during dinner. Replayed their new President saying UK during the commencement speech, laughed about AD leaving (who they hated until Florida State came calling) and just the basic ruin of their sports programs. Eat all the **** UofL fans, family members included.

I want to take nothing away from Cal or the team from Saturday. It was a good meal guys, I'm satisfied...seconds please.

I will say, however, that Hubert Davis is an awful coach. He obviously didn't bother to do any last minute opposition prep.

Quite a different offensive performance against UNC. The spacing, the approach, shot selection, and the aggressiveness from the guards defensively turned into some easy offense as well. Watching that version vs the last few games seemed like night and day. Good on them for finally getting a win over a blue blood team.

Offensive boards get you to heaven.

They better have 8 guys who are in the throes of full on COVID in order to be cancelling games.

Regardless, can we really expect any legit opponent to be available to travel to Rupp on this short of notice?

Let's bring in WVU and have Oscar drag his nuts on Huggins.
