I saw Steely Dan at Riverbend in the mid-90s and was surprised at how many black people were there. But maybe I shouldn't have been surprised due to the jazz influences in the music.

You're a *****.
I know you are but what am I ??? GFY and shut your cock-holster. LOL, MF'er talking about someone being a ***** and you running around whoring yourself out begging for likes on a message board, SMGDH. Oh, did I tell you to GFY ?

To the other idiot, while I am passing out GFY's like candy on Halloween, No I was not wondering why there was not a lot of white dudes attending HBCU, I was wondering how someone can be so GD dense they can't tell it was a joke. And with that, you get a fresh GFY for your ****** post. You and the cock-gobbler (BBCL) can GFY or each other, I really care which.

You two have a blessed and wonderful rest of your day / evening. Oh, and before the other like chasing ***** Runnie Richie chimes in, YES, IT IS SAD.

Merry Christmas, Hallejulah, pass the F'N Tylenol. (some of you dense, **** wits won't get it)

Anybody else ? I got several more, and plenty of time.

This post is to be taken as a light hearted response to a few dumbasses, I am not really upset. LOL.

lmao...Juicy kisses Bizzy at 49' because he knows Poncho and Gangsta Fred are going to murder him after the show. Bizzy promptly apologizes to the crowd. Poppin My Collar plays, reminding everyone that Bone should have crawled off the stage 30 minutes ago.

52' in Bone FINALLY gets started with Love of Money. Dumbasses should have played that way earlier.

LMAOOOO Bone follows up that one singular win with.....A feature verse on a Chamillionaire song.

bbdk is so fn stupid, and his argument and this versus looked way better on paper. This thing is worse than I imagined. F the west coast and ohio.

After the embarrassing feature on someone else's song....Juicy drops his single featuring Lil Wayne.

108' Pat steps on stage looking like David Ortiz and this show is beyond over.

119' outkast and pimp on perhaps the best 3-6 beat of all time. Embarrassment of riches...

...Layzie asks for a 3-6 beat lol.

They finally bring out Thug Luv, E1999, and Mo Murda. Bone just doesn't have nearly enough hits to make this a fair fight, but those E1999 hits and 2pac are impossible to top.

Terrence Howard throws an Oscar at Bizzy Bone to end the night lmaoooo.

Three Six wins by avalanche. Final verdict.
Brother I think you might be taking this Rap Battle thing a little bit too serious. Really man, I am just clowning dog, not trying to diss you. I think you may need some counseling or something ?

Check out the slap bass during the chorus on Peg. SD had some killer funky/jazzy stuff. Tremendous musicians.

I'm in my 30s, I'd absolutely be at a Steely Dan concert if they played again out this way.

Thank you sweet baby Jesus for December 3rd being 72 degrees and absolutely perfect. Also for letting my old *** still be alive to enjoy it.

Got 3 very old, expensive wood carvings so cheap I should be arrested. You can buy a lottery ticket for less. Had to get them shipped in from Canada. Figured $50-60 on shipping. Wrong, $200. WTF, then was told $160 USD so that lessened the red *** but this gouging is killing my crime.

The similarities between hard bop jazz, and hip hop are undeniable. Jazz artists would 'sample' phrases from popular standards (so as not to pay royalties, by using 'just enough.) The music had it's own ethnocentric lexicon (that whitely would have a hard time deciphering) etc.

Hip Hop IS jazz.

I just won $4700 at Golden Gate on a .50 P5 carryover - what it do.

-It’s true, BBdK loves the 60’s Thai Funk-influenced band Khruangbin, Bc I have an impeccable musical palate. Hipster? Lol, ok.

Going to see them at the Palace next Sunday as a Christmas gift to my main mortgage man…who’s a black man.

Laura Leezy is a supreme sexy being, and they’re just a dope trio. And they’re ALWAYS just a trio.

Once you watch this hopefully you can appreciate them being only a trio.

Get Money Junior Mafia?

HIPSTER!!!!! 😭😭😭😭.

But, their actual music is what I was drawn to. Chad is clearly very hurt from being separated from actual Society. Even admitted his closest friends had the band up top of their Spotify wrapped.

He’d legit never heard of them. What a fall off wow.

If 9/11 happened tomorrow, I’m not sure he would even know about it for days or weeks…it’s the saddest friend development of my lifetime tbh.

Does anyone else set an over/under every time they crack their knuckles, toes, and neck or is it just me? Sometimes I do the set the o/u for my back if I can crack it with the right chair or handrail.

Regulate into G thing was dope, but at some point I know I heard PM Dawn set adrift of memory bliss which is always a fly throwback to skating rink memories of first kiss, holding hands and copping feels over in the dark corner at Champs off manslick.

Wow!

I've been a huge Khruangbin fan for quite some time. This is my all time favorite jam from them.

While we're at it, if the song below comes on while my wife is in the room, it's Krazy Kats time...

People Everywhere is their best tune…but overall the dreamy jam schtick of Khraungbin is kinda beat. I do respect their stylings hat tip to Mark Knopfler.

Beach Boys were square honky nerds wearing matching outfits when the Beatles had long hair and dropping acid. Game. Set. Match. Whilst Steely Dan, in musical influence comparison to the latter - are insignificant.

Speaking of jazz and taste. DLO3 ought to be in y’all’s rotation:

aw come on

there’s a lineage but the instrumentation is not present w/rap

jazz musicians feature some of THE best performers and instrumentalists out there (not all my taste BUT they’re generally excellent and they inhabit strange time signatures and use complex chord voicings and unique scales)
