8 plays and Goal to win the game. NOTHIN. They didn’t even really get close. That was the most non-UK football thing I’ve ever seen. One of the top rushing teams in the country. 2 dynamic rushing QBs. Nothin. We beat the hell out of Emory Jones all night.

The two plays that gave us the points to win came from pure big time SEC speed baby. Wan’Dale and Trevin, that’s something we haven’t really had.

The scary thing is we’re still waiting for a QB.

I can’t believe how incredibly beatable LSU looks all of a sudden. What kind of odds could you have gotten on a 6-0 start and walking into Athens undefeated?

Don’t wanna get ahead of ourselves, but we really should win that game Saturday. We’re absolutely a better team.

yes sir
well said

it wasn’t THAT long ago we’d have eyed the stretch of USC-UF-LSU-UT games as a hopeful 1-3 stretch

now it’s more of a mindset of “the angry invader” — how badly can we punish these teams and how much better can we become

reminds me of that old phrase everyone used to say but NO ONE really believed....”The kentucky football program is a sleeping giant “

etc etc and whatnot

.... Howard schneenberger still alive?

We were #9 I believe after beating #1 LSU and #9 UL in 2007 or 2009.

i remember we played south carolina and we were 1 and 2 in the east i believe?

that was a solid brooks team that blew a couple of games (miss st / tennessee) and misses really making a mark

as time goes on though i think i admire coach brooks more and more

LOVE stoops of course - mostly i’m just flabbergasted by him

how in THE HELL has he done this ?

and he inherited a joker
phillips team that was i THINK 2-9
??

is he in the discussion for coach of the year if we get 10 wins ?

What makes this sweet too is there is no asterisk you put next to this win. Florida was at full strength after resting players against UT, mentally on top of the world because they took Bama to the wire, their fans and some media saying it was Georgia, Bama, and Florida and then everyone else. So at full strength, head full of steam, no excuses you go headfirst into a Big Blue Steel Wall.

This wasn't Mullen losing in his first year like last time, or UofL limping into 2016 with its playoff hopes dashed the week before or beating a Bowden FSU team in a bowl because 20+ players have to sit, or beating a mediocre Alabama team in OT. This was you put your best against our best and we ripped their hearts out.

Stoops built a significantly better defense than Brooks did. Look at last night. We shut down Florida’s running game and dared them to throw it. Then, when the game was on the line, we dropped back and that brokedick qb of theirs had no chance.

We do need to get the O rolling however. It is criminal that Wan’Dale only had like 4 touches.

yup

offensive line too
and the OLine may be the best unit UK has - and HAS BEEN for a little while

i remember thinking three years or so ago that we we’re close to having the best OLine in the conference and they weren’t getting the recognition

DAMNLORDYHELLFIRE I LOVE THIS!!

infinitely better than trying to win with gimmicky Hal Mumme type stuff

We also did it without our top run stopper for 3/4.

After reading about it on here, I stayed up til 2:30am listening to the replay of SAE’s postgame podcast lol. That was effin brilliant, and if I’d have been listening live earlier, I absolutely would have called in. That was the perfect topper to an awesome evening. So many of us have literally suffered through decades of UK football heartache after heartache after heartache. What Stoops has done, honestly, is hard to believe. Living the last 8 years down here in South Georgia, surrounded mostly by UGA fans, but also plenty of Gator fans, I don’t get much opportunity to talk ****. But, by gawd, they’re gonna get a whole lotta **** when I roll in to work tomorrow morning.

We've had moments that were that loud but I can't think of a start to finish that comes close in atmosphere. Special night.
I live off Red Mile Rd and have never, ever heard the crowd b4. Last night we could hear the crowd throughout the game. The game was about 30 secs behind live play. We knew ahead of time if a big play was coming. It was wild. Phenomenal crowd

Drinking coffee listening to the live feed…only, the WS call was just dead silence, the rest came through.

I swear, they had 8 false starts but my crew watching from home was screaming for it the entire first quarter especially that opening drive. I’m sure Stoops losing his mind finally got their attention.

That’s real information, folks.

You can’t overstate how much Wan’Dale has exceeded expectations. That catch and score was a pro’s pro scamper. Looked like Steve Smith in his hey day with the Panthers.

Mix in end-arounds, or toss sweeps like the Packers use with Adams to get him touches. Like all elite WR1’s doesn’t matter if the defense knows it’s going to him, he’s so damn good he’ll still produce 8/10 plays.

I felt we had a decent chance when I immediately liked the line for Florida.

I had my Uncle over to watch with me and my stepdad. My uncle used to split season tickets with a group including my dad when I was a kid during the Pookie/Moe seasons. He was also apart of a group that split with me, My stepdad and a few others during Brooks. We were alll there for Stevie got Loose and LSU in ‘07.

So for me it was great to have him over, and hear talk about how this is the best he has seen a UK team since 77. Paschal is the best he’s seen since Art Still........on and on and on.

I can’t think of a better way to watch that game than on my my patio, pounding beers after 3/4 bourbons, snacking on chili and listening to him reminisce.

And I managed to crash and not say a thing to my die hard florida family because this is who we are now, no biggie!

Added bonus for the 10:58am text from my sister right before stepping in church so my response wouldn’t even be seen for an hour at least.
