- Generally speaking, most every elite team this year is anchored by talented veterans- guys who may not have been Top 10 but were Top 75 recruits- Bama, Ohio State, Illinois, Gonzaga, Houston, etc.
BUT there is one example of a really good team built around a OAD - Oklahoma State. That team is kinda like those UK Mashburn teams- built around a star. You can still do it with OAD but it has to be the elite guys.
Cal’s not getting them anymore so we need continuity and talent development.

I mean, Boston and Clark were both top 10 dudes. I expect our multi-million coaches to be better than recruiting services, but nobody expected them to be this bad.
Turns out the whole 2020 class was pretty underwhelming. Outside of Cunningham and Suggs, this class may be the worst in 10 years of OAD. Maybe Jalen Green and Jonathan Kuminga would've changed that, but I doubt it.
If we offered Pitino 9M in 97, we’d have 3 less coaches and who knows how many more titles!
