Do you actually think that was by Oats’ choice?

“Here’s our strategy boys... let’s not make a single FG for the first 10:00 of the 2nd half and only 5 the entire half, they’ll never see it coming!”

They didn’t win because of some brilliant halftime adjustment, they won because we have the shittiest offense in UK history.

We were up 2 with the ball with under 4:00 to play and actually ran a great play that got our best shooter an open 3 to go up 5. Allen bricked it.

From there on, our stingy D disappeared and our ****** offense got shittier.

Foul on Jackson 40’ from the basket. 2 FTs. Tie game.

Boston turnover. Bama layup. 56-54

Mintz misses a 3. Bama layup. 58-54

Jackson turnover. Saar takes a charge... nope it’s a block at this end of the floor. 2 FTs. 60-54

Allen misses a jumper. Mintz gets the rebound. His shot is blocked. Foul on Brooks. 2 FTs. 62-54

Allen 3-pt basket! 62-57

Foul on Saar. 2 FTs. 64-57

Askew fouled. 2 FTs. He scored! 64-59

Toppin foul. 2 FTs. 66-59

Allen turnover. Mintz foul. 2 FTs. 68-59

Askew blocked. Bama layup. 70-59.
What’s not represented here is the shot clock being drained every offensive trip with the same top of key constipated weave of 2 non/scorers and the obligatory pass into the post... eventually leading to a 22’ heave from wherever.

Eddie Gran and Terry Wilson think this offense is ********.

This year is obviously **** and won't change. Calipari painted himself into a corner and his usual too-cool-for-school attitude has eaten up the grace he deserves from Billy Joe Wildcat. As has been discussed ad nauseam, there are alarming errors in this program. For instance, WHY DO WE ONLY HAVE TWO GUARDS?! NO ONE WANTS TO HIRE OUR ASSISTANTS?! BJ BOSTON IS OUR BEST PLAYER?! IS THIS TEAM AND SCHEME EVEN SUPPOSED TO MAKE SENSE?!

Calipari has earned both the right to have enough room to change if he wants to and enough room to let the program sink while the weight of a lazy gut grows like an anchor. It is completely up to him. Nothing said here does anything other than vent.

Good times.

That surprises me because the media overwhelmingly thinks their new AD White is a genius much like his brother Mike- also a HOMERUN hire- because their dad is the Duke AD.

I would assume such a great hire would have been able to get a better coach?

Dooms scrolling that Corey Price kids' twitter. This is historic shat that has never happened in our lifetime stuff.

I think the impending fear that ratchets this up is that this will be a **** season and we lose Boston, Jackson, Clarke, Brooks plus Sarr and Mintz and probably Fletcher. So starting over again.

I like the Heupel hire; it is certainly better than others they've made at UT. Yeah, the "trajectory" at UCF could be portrayed as downward, record-wise, but do you expect him to go undefeated every year? He has turned over the roster and frankly has had the best team in the state other than UF during his tenure.

Heupel has a progressively worse record his first three years at UCF, and then his old AD hires him at UT. And they were turned down by a Clemson assistant. I like how this reads. Truly hope it works out...that they further descend into oblivion.

Not to mess up your schedule, but I would recommend Red Iguana in Salt Lake if you want good Mexican.

Looked into that place too, but we'll already be hitting up multiple Mexican places the rest of the trip, so needed to change it up.

That doesn't even look like the same guy. The recent pic looks like Cousin Eddie's kid from "Christmas Vacation".

AMC stock up to $16. Matt's Christmas gift stipulations that he's given to Ryan, Shannon, and Drew crack me up though. He bought them each 200 shares at $2 but has told them they all have to cash out at the same time and he'll pick the price they'll cash out at.

So Dontaie goes 4 of 7 from 3 and gets called out publicly by his coach for about the 10th time this season? Wonder when the next BJ Boston sleepover at Cal’s place is?

I disagree with Chad about Jackson being the most likable player. Do I like him? Yes. I would like him more if I thought we would actually see a version of him that affected winning.

But what Cal has done publicly to a Kentucky boy ranked in the 60’s coming out of high school would have crushed most kids. There are plenty that would have “opted out” and put in their transfer papers. He just keeps making shots and saying the right things to the media (his quotes are more mature than Cal’s). I mean, how can you not love that?

Anyone notice Mintz jawing with someone after coming out of the game at the beginning?

Couldn't tell if it was directed at a coach or player.

Well, it’s Jackson, Allen or Mintz. Those are the only three eligible really.

Allen has been fabulous for a freshman. As far as getting called out by Cal, I think you’re making too much out of it.

- Not sure there is anything better than Tennessee sports radio during times like this. A guy just said that his heart has been "literally ripped out". #TempleOfDoom

- Heupel's recruiting classes have gotten worse during his tenure, and he's lost more games every year since he's been there.

- UCF now hiring Hugh Freeze would be *chef's kiss*.

- I mean, they see their rivals as Bama, Georgia, and Florida. That's Saban, Kirby, and Mullen. And now they're rolling out Josh Heupel against those guys. Goodness gracious.

- I know..."who cares about Tennessee footballsucka", but the college football/basketball coaching carousels have always been, to me anyway, nearly as interesting as the regular season games themselves. And what else are we gonna talk about...Kentucky basketball? Oof. No thanks.

Met Vernon Maxwell at the Arby's Classic a few years ago when I took my nephew to watch his son's team play. Super nice guy and was more than happy to take a picture with the nephew after the game (I wouldn't let him approach the guy while he was trying to watch his son and didn't want to bother him at all really).

When we got home, I got to give him a basketball history of Mad Max, including but not limited to going into the stands to confront a fan in Utah. Those were different times, man. [laughing]

I dont have any idea how this hire will work out for UT but it is very important that the fan base hates it and is angry at their AD from the very beginning. So if they are bad out of the gate next year we are looking at another mutiny.

It would be sweeter to watch from the outside if our own once elite program wasnt currently covered in **** and led by a diabolical loon.

Vaguely remember him lighting Kentucky up in those dope late 80s/early 90s Gator orange jerseys.

-Their elite program has been dogshit for 15 years. To be fair, we've been top 10ish most of the last 15 years.

-Done trying to analyze this team. It's just trash, and compounded with a dumbass that refuses to accept what would make it a fringe top 25 team. Much easier to pick out what they do well -> not much. Jackson can block, Allen can shoot, Mintz typically does more good than bad. That was easy.

-Spent the game on the bike. Great way to get a long workout in and counter my pissivity level.

-Good on the State for honoring Schlarman yesterday, that's fantastic.

-Bleh.

Askew played 15 minutes in the 2H last night, and didn't record a single stat, of any kind, until his 2 FT in the final seconds. His role is literally to bring the ball up, and hand it off to a center out top. That's it.

I bet Kareem Watkins could at least penetrate & kick a little, or attempt to do SOMETHING, as could any mid-level High School point guard.
