Scrimmage ey? Our first read flag should have been that abomination of a "scrimmage" at BBM

SUPPOSEDLY it took a last second shot to beat Transy in the scrimmage tonight. If they did that, that is a point of no return. You can't have a game with a D3 team that close, no matter what. Cal has always had his players back. If the game was really that close, Cal is not the one who took it to the public.

THAT'S AWESOME!!!!

What this team *really* needed was a chance to add a scrimmage, some reps, and a WIN! 👏👏👏

You know, an opportunity to have a little FUN playing the game again. So excited and pumped. GO CATS!

Hope Dontae hit the shot.

SUPPOSEDLY Cam'Ron at the airport on his phone talking to Cal said "That is why your ***** *** is going to your second NIT in 11 years". If he did that, that is a point of no return. You can't have players disrespecting his coach like that, no matter what. Cal has always had his players back. If Fletcher really said that, Cal is not the one who took it to the public.
I made that up in here today. Where in the hell did you see that?
Sarr hit a baseline jumper at the buzzer and we beat Transylvania tonight by one.

Thanks for ruining the joke guys.

"SCRIMMAGING AT THIS VERY MOMENT" [laughing] [eyeroll]

So the basketball players are playing a practice basketball game. In secret, no less. Wonder if they wore fake mustaches.

Wow, crucial update. Hope that unforeseen turn of events didn't mess up Kyle's feeding schedule.

TF ever.

As a former D3 athlete who got routinely abused in practice in HS by super high level D1 athletes, let me just say...

Lol.

I hooped a few times with Jared Prickett and Dale Brown back in the day. The first time, I was like, “Damn, I can’t believe I’m hanging with these guys.” Then they quit fooling around and started caring... Brutal.

- Sorry for your loss, Krazy. Prayers for your family.

- RE: Switch: We are in the same boat for “little kid“ games. The LEGO games are simple enough, Donkey Kong is pretty fun, and Luigi’s mansion 3 is fun/suspenseful for them to watch. We need to get the Mario games in the next go around. Zelda is too complicated for me at this point. I played it a lot while on “vacation” at my in-laws last year and forgot everything about it the second we came home.

- RE: Basement Arcade Cabinets: Growing up, one of my best friends had an uncle that was an arcade game “dealer.” This kid lived an otherwise normal middle class house except his basement had always had 3-4 arcade cabinets, pop a shot, airhockey, and a back-projection big screen, (and ping pong in the garage).

- The screens on the big box store or DIY arcade cabinets are always disappointing to me. 65” TV’s are like $400 now ($150 more than what‘s normally used?). Why not throw one of those bad boys in there and just make the cabinet bigger to accommodate?

I beat Jared Prickett in a game of 1 on 1 at Rick Pitino basketball camp for a t-shirt when I was an up-and-coming sophomore in high school and he was coming off his freshman year in college. So this Transy thing checks out in my book.

You watch high major D1 basketball on tv and you’re thinking D3 guys can’t be much. Wrong. I’ve played against former NAIA guys who blow anyone on here out of the water.

Mark Krebs was a ringer for a church league team I played on in 2015. Dude could fng ball.

We played a team full of brothers who all played high level high school here locally and he was by far and away the best dude on the court. 3 dribbles past midcourt, pull up three... net. Over and over.

Team No F***s about any rumors on scrimmages.

This team could use some low stakes opportunities to try things out and become cohesive. As long as Boston and Clarke are nothing more than AAU babies just waiting out their year of hard time before they go the NBA, it doesn't matter anyway. If those two buy in, there is some small bit of optimism.

Like some others, at this point I'm rooting for a full blown implosion and a losing record because (1) I don't see any reason to think these kids come back any way so showing some effort toward the end is meaningless and (2) a full scale meltdown may be the only thing that gets Calipari out of his sloth.

If that makes me a bad fan, whatever. I care far more about the long term direction of this program than winning .500 in SEC games in the weirdest year ever when we have no hope of tournament success.

I just want whatever causes Calipari to channel Eric Bledsoe and get **** right. Or leave on good terms.

Dude, you're WAY too good of a basketball fan to think we somehow gain from beating a team who's in their first year of Division 1. That's ridiculous.

You mean like Gonzaga, who played first year D1 Dixie State last night for their 6th game in 10 days? And a week ago played Northwestern State on consecutive nights?

I am sure they welcomed the chance to get reps, more PT for the reserves, etc.

Man I’ve always been conflicted with Dave Portnoy. I mostly have liked the dude but sometimes he’s just gotten under my skin. However, with this Barstool Fund I’m moving him to my good side permanently. I’ve just genuinely been impressed by what he and his team have pulled off. Pretty damn awesome and inspiring for this country.

- I mean I could really use the W on Saturday, Stoopsy.

- Favorite podcasts right now include The Rewatchables and 60 Songs That Explain the ‘90s - which is rather depressing when I think about it.

- Favorite IG - Lamelo Ball highlights.

- PTI is right. I have tried my best to hate DocBoat but it’s impossible. Love that guy.

- Man, AirPods are a must have. Lifechanger.

- New Years Eve lol - bourbon, baby, wife and home. What else is new? Could be worse.

- Wife goes back to work next week so my Mom will be taking over daily operations with Miss Thang. We’re both working from home so shouldn’t be too terrible but wife is apprehensive about “missing out.” I’m not. Big picture here for Dad.

- Fed up with the lack of comraderie, I’m delivering my two buddies four samples of my vast post-Christmas bourbon collection in hopes of a virtual tasting. These dudes are getting some good ****- Weller 12, Woodford MC, Smokewagon SB and Old Soul 15.
