Uplifting start to the GYERO work week.

Grief.

I packed my favorite striker Aguero this morning.

- Both of those stories are horrible. This place needs a misery thread because while they are worthwhile to share, they absolutely crush all of our already fragile souls.

Anth, the bookkeeper at my wife’s school (I worked with her too) was the grandmother to the two kids. Very nice people, just a horrible story. Those were her only two grandkids too.

Last I heard they think the driver had a stroke.
But Jesus, I can’t even imagine my kids being killed in a freak miniature golf accident.

-spent 30 minutes picking up beagle poop in the yard yesterday...never would've though that wouldn't have been the shittiest part of my day.

^remind me not to wait more that a couple of weeks, next time.

-made "Mississippi pot roast" yesterday in the oven...much better than the slow cooker version. Homemade mashed taters(we have become accustomed to the bob evans variety...great for a busy family) fantastic. Pot roast is a nice winter meal.

-if you don't own a rice cooker youre missing out. Not a gadget guy but a hellluvan effort saver.

* Three games in a row now Devin Askew has been completely overworked and outmatched by a lower ranked point guard. Two of them barely even got any attention out of high school. So why are they so much better than him right now? All year seniors who have grown and improved with their program over their career. Grown *** men.

* Who's a bigger d-bag?

a> anyone who owns a "gaming chair?"
b> anyone who refers to another as their "ride or die?"

Gonna go with B, but just barely.

* 1-3, so it looks like we're heading into SEC play at 3-5 if we're lucky. Maybe 2-6.

And we were "underrated" before we played a game, LOL. [laughing]

* Sonic has great junk/fast food, and a huge, diverse menu, but pulling ordering thru an old timey drive-in situation just doesn't make any sense to me. Probably get a lot more of my hangover business if they didn't try to be so cute.

* Anyone do anything super cool last night instead of watching the Cats? My apologies for my previous accusations.

* Eddie Gran --> I'm very meh on the whole situation. He can come or go and it wouldn't phase me. I think our offensive struggles start at the very top. Until Mark Stoops decides to change the offense, it really doesn't matter who our OC is.

"I do think the days of playing great defense and winning are probably behind us."

- Nick Saban

* From BTI:

But since the Class of 2015, the misses have really started pilling up. In 2015, you had Skal Labiessiere, Charles Matthews, Mychal Mulder, and maybe Isaiah Briscoe. In 2016, Wenyen Gabriel and Sacha Killeya-Jones. In 2017, Jemarl Baker, Quade Green, Hami Diallo, and Jarred Vanderbilt. In 2018, EJ Montgomery, and you could argue that Keldon Johnson was a massive disappointment. In 2019, Kahlil Whitney and Johnny Juzang.

It is absolutely criminal that this guy is able to cover sports for a professional site.

Pot roast is DOPE. Ina Gartens recipe is quite good. Very similar to her Coq Au Vin recipe... then you realize... Mexican, Italian and rustic French use the same pallet of ingredients and techniques and once you cook enough of it, you can riff and tweak as needed.

I baked a full on carrot cake last night. Cream cheese frosting... pairs wonderfully with bourbon.

picked up a Parker’s Heritage 10 Bourbon. Did not crack it yet.

What in my browser history leads Fathead to believe they should advertise pelvic floor decals to my facebook feed? I mean they really want me to buy this.

Facebook and Instagram keep promoting Ainsley Rodriguez's "health and wellness" site to me. I mean almost every single add. I will never sign up for this or buy anything from her, but I don't mind the ads at all.

Biggest disappointment for me was that there was no Richie meltdown about Karl Ravech broadcasting the game in a Tshirt.
Thought the same thing and was going to post something in game but then Moses dunked on some more of our generational earners and I got mad and didn’t

- Next time I say I’m not going to watch a game, I don’t want to hear a F’ing word.

- Pretty big drop off from Ulis, Fox and SGA to Hagans and Askew. Great talent evaluation.

- Speaking of, UK fan has gotten to be just as bad as Cal on these kids. Sure would suck to have Hagans and EJ back.

- I can ignore the games, black out GYERO and tune out all sports media but what really chaps my *** is Cal stealing my holiday joy.

- The bottom line is EGO- Cal’s F’ing ego - is killing us. From his ******** NBA obsession to his offensive obstinance. STFU, humble yourself and get back to being a basketball coach.

- These damn Italians can’t handle success- Valvano, Massimino, Pitino and now Cal.

- I only get so much free time these days. If you think I’m going to waste it on this ********, you’re dead wrong. I’ll watch Christmas movies and read my Obama book.

I don't think there's a ton of love for Satterfield, necessarily. There's just 115 D-1 football schools who all think they deserve an extra 2-3 wins/season, and they're the next coach away from accomplishing that dream.

On that note: Tennessee is 2-6 this season (THEY'RE BACK!!!!!), Jeremy Pruitt has a losing record there, makes $3.9 million/year, and his staff has a buyout of $20 million.

Competition and ignorance is in abundance.

Just don't understand, I get we missed on Cade, but how can we start the year with Askew as the man? And double down on that? He has talent in there, enough smart minds have said it, but trial by fire isn't the way for all these dudes. He's years, not weeks, off. Why not start the year with Clarke and Mintz(or a differnt transfer) and bring Askew along slowly?

If Askew doesn't start from day one and get the bulk of the minutes how can he get drafted when he leaves in a few months?

Bringing a guy along slowly doesn't fit the narrative. Draft round (regardless of actual pick position) is the new measuring stick of a program, not wins/losses.

YOU PEOPLE ARE CRAAAAAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!
