I’m a little torn on Gran being out, because as a non Xs and Os guy I’m not sure how much is his fault versus Stoops.

Gran accomplished some pretty great things here, and yet also steered the ship offensively on some of the worst performances of all time.

I’m very much looking forward to seeing who we get, and whether it’s an “explosive” guy or a “methodical” guy. If it’s an “explosive” guy, I’m not sure much changes unless Stoops changes his grind it out philosophy.

I just hope he hires the guy that is right for his system and there’s no more square peg round hole situations.

One thing is certain, I never want to see the Wildcat again.

I think Stoops being anti-forward pass is a tad overblown.

Agreed. Stoops is highly risk averse and has no problem trying to win 13-10 on a last second field goal and he has gone full ball control on offense to this point.

That said, I do think that Stoops is mentally very flexible and sees that football is evolving and his offensive approach isn't going to work as well as it once did going forward. I don't get the vibe from Stoops that we all did with Tubby's ******** about going uptempo and literally everything John Calipari says about anything.

Weirdly, I think Gran and Hinshaw would actually be a great duo to bring in to open the offense up if we were hiring them away from another team. It kind of sucks because Gran, warts and all, is a damn good coordinator. But we absolutely have to make the change.

Be curious to see who we hire. I assume Stoops already knows. We need someone who can design something similar to a RichRod offense, imo, that allows innovation and the ability to maximize the value of skill players who aren't as highly recruited but still runs the ball.

I don't think we are as bad as our record indicates. We weren't ready to play against Mizzou. I don't think that would be the case vs IU.

They were coming off 2 wins before Mizzou and you don't think they were ready to play to get 3 straight. Lol.

Stoops has topped 4 conf wins only once in his tenure. No reason to think this year's record was anything but accurate, and now he gets a free pass again w/ the 2 offensive geniuses gone.

We’ve had a ****** passing attack for all of Stoops’ 8 seasons. I hope he knows of a solid coordinator already interested in the gig because I wonder how attractive this job is at the moment.

What? You can make 7 figures at a SEC school with top 15 National facilities where it’s been proven you can win at a very high level. I’d say it’s very attractive.

Yeah dipshit, it happens sometimes. Plus we beat Mizzou like 5 straight times. They were hungrier that day.

One man and one man only should get the gig. It’s time. It’s time to run it back, folks...

I have a replacement for Hinshaw and he is in their back yard. Hell, he is on the back deck. Hinshaw was getting $46000/mo. We can get this guy for $22000/mo.

There is trolling, and then there is this.

Yeah, who would be interested in a coordinator job in the SEC?
I guess I needed to dumb this down for some of you.

I question how attractive this position will be to any potential OC who has any other options.

Sure, you can hire some jackass who has never been allowed to call plays before, but I’m concerned that any experienced OC with options and an ounce of desire to run a “wide open” offense will decide to hitch his career to Mark Stoops considering how he’s never shown to the stomach to allow it.

The week leading up to Missouri was whem it became pretty clear that Schlarman was not going to make it
As such, he did not make the trip and passed away soon after.

Besides that, you idiot, it was a noon kick against a boring *** team we had beaten 5 straight years, after the hangover of a huge program win.

This is basic ish, much like the election loss your daddy just took. Also, 14-18.

Whole lotta Yakety Sax in the first half of Bengals-Dolphins.

Also, Lynn Bowden thinks those "punches" that got two dudes tossed were trash. The dual ejection was also dumb af. Keep both in the game, slap a penalty or two on the teams and let the NFL fine them. FFS.

Successful steady tenure as OC. Time to turn the page.

Rolling the dice on an up and comer will put some real extra pressure on Stoops.

ACC always runs a 6pm Sunday game. Has for years, and I’m not sure what is so bad about it?

Making Barbacoa nachos. Taco Luchadors is fantastic so hopefully I can at least make something edible my first go at it.

Hot take: we should get rid of Mark Stoops and move onto bigger and better things.

Once the coaching world realizes we have top 15 facilities AND three extra weeks of practice time, I suspect we’ll be in the running for anyone we want.

If we lose to GAtech, wake me up when the tournament starts (probably won't). 6 seed, chill.

Lackluster, no fire, soft, doesn’t look like they even want to be there. One would think we would be playing our *** off tonight.
