I've been told that there are people who actually say they're from Louisville, Louisville... need GYERO confirmation.

At any rate, as a proud Kentuckian from the hinterlands. I was taught to always be wary of the confusing and argumentatively unnecessarily proud East end set of Jefferson County.

Looking up that Carlisle Co run - it was 1983 - and see that Western KY had a nice little stretch in the Sweet 16 from 1979-1985.

3 championships and 2 runner-ups.

Good write up 10 years after the fact on that 83 championship game. First and only one I remember watching on TV.

After listening to Phil talk during that Brady/Manning thing, it was no surprise that he would be good in the booth. He seems satisfied with his career and is really picking up his personality.
