Grandfather was a member at Windridge. What a muddy second nine but kind of a fun first nine. Tree in 3rd fairway like 90 yards from the green (gone?). Two 3's straight uphill, one over the driveway [jumpingsmile]

Shot an 84 there.

The tree in the middle of 3 is gone, thank God. The back nine can still get underwater when it floods, so that sucks. It’s all good right now though.

In the last few years they’ve redone some of the back 9 and made that last par 5 pretty tough with a large pond to the left and the road to the right.

Greens are really good now, and pretty slick.

I’m not the biggest fan of that course, but it’s a good change of pace every now and then.

Fun fact: About 25-30 years ago Windridge had Bent grass greens on the front and Bermuda greens on the back. Wtf?

I was thinking about stopping my lurking and trying to become a Gyeroman but am now having second thoughts.

Doug Stone May be the most underrated country artist of the late 80s/early 90s. Lots of forgotten goodies in his catalogue.

Matter of fact, I’m going to hit the Keith Whitley Station on Pandora right now. He gets lots of play there. Could be a long night.

I went down a Hal Ketchum and John Anderson rabbit hole last night. Great stuff.

I’ve appreciated how the official Gyero-man position on masks has pivoted to, “I wear them in public because I am a respectful and courteous person, but personally I believe them to be ********.”

That is the mark of the understated gentleman right there.

John Anderson is so underrated. Miss the unique country singer voice a la Anderson, Tracy Lawrence, George Jones, etc.

It’s kind of like the cops in LA. At first they bought into the lockdowns. Patrolled the beaches. Chased down people on paddle boards. Lots of citations.

Then came the riots and protests. And the police were denigrated, insulted, abused, and told that they were worthless pieces of ****.

So guess what? Our good friend Covid popped back up (related to the protests....hmmmm) and now the Mayor wants to lock down the beaches and close everything down again. And the police basically told the Mayor to eff off. Malibu was packed last weekend despite being closed. And the police didn’t do a damn thing about it.

Respect. It’s all about respect. And there’s not a lot of respect going around right now. And a lot of talking down to. Not going to fly in this country. Never has, never will.

Damn. I wish we could get a quote from Ja Rule on this, so it will ALL FINALLY make sense.

The practices and procedures of the LAPD was a big missing piece of my puzzle.

Thank you, and God Blisss. You da man!

Tennessee looks pretty good right now. No state income tax. Don't have the world's biggest ***** as governor. Nashville. Generally seem like they have their **** together, unlike this dysfunctional state.

Gotta be honest -- I'm a little jealous. Still, f**** Rocky Top.

Some nice scenery but once you get outside of Nashville ( and to a lesser extent Memphis) it’s no different than Kentucky. A lot of rubes, a lot of backwards thinking. And some ugly *** orange.

I just put together my brand new, in the box, Camp Chef Woodwind pellet smoker grill with a propane sear box that I got for the amazing price of $0.00.

I’ll miss the art of doing everything the hard way with the Weber Smoky Mountain, but man, this is a game changer for me.
