Announcing on April 30th that pools will not reopen in the summer is nonsensical. Sure, maybe they will not be able to reopen, but why not wait until at least mid-May to evaluate, let alone make that announcement? All you’re doing at this point with such a premature announcement is killing people’s hopes.
And the equivocating answers about when daycares will reopen scare the **** out of me. Okay, so it won’t be in May (“phase 1”). But now he’s sounding really noncommittal about them even reopening in June. That absolutely cannot happen. Serve this economy up on a skewer if working parents do not have reliable childcare in place before July.

You’re right. Some subdivision pool overlooking the Gene Snyder will surely be except from the order when all pools other than those of private residences are not able to open. Good call.
