Dumbest thing you've ever purchased to eat from a gas station?

For me, it's deviled eggs and fried chicken liver (not on the same occasion). Both solid choices from reputable places, but that was possibly two of my riskiest moves. It turned out fine, but damn, not smart.
Flamethrower Burger from a DQ in a gas station in Wilmington, OH. I didn’t realize how risky it was until I used the restroom and realized that the entire operation was run by a group of particular individuals that were from a different, but incredibly beautiful, culture which did not hold hygiene in the same regard as my culture’s trend and norms.

(Cleaned up my sentiments for “The Left” in this post, YWIA.)

Blizzards are great and all, but a concrete mixer at Culver's absolutely blows it away. That's a greasy/fatass restaurant franchise that should do way more business, imo. It's like Hardee's, only a little cleaner and without throwing it right in your face that you're disgusting.

I feel much safer eating at a Dairy Queen staffed entirely by good ole fashioned, morbidly obese, rural American white trash.

Which is made up by whom?

Tell us about your definition of "white trash." What does that entail?

^ I ate at that Five Star all the time, usually breakfast, for the year I drove from Lexington to Crestwood for work every day :weary:

-It's great that PTI(pti) enjoys real food now, but you could eat McDonald's every day for a year and still not catch up to his lifetime #s. :100points: Don't let him pretend he's above it.

The Five Star gas station on Versailles Road at I64 had awesome fried chicken wings and spicy wedges.

good little snack on the ride home from UK

That stretch of Versailles Road South of I-64 used to be the Silicon Valley of the Fast Food industry. Just a hotbed of fast food talent who cared about the customer experience. The Big Macs crafted by lovely 50-year old ex-housewives who worked at the McDonalds off that exit were a thing of beauty.

New topic:

Watching The Pharmacist on Netflix, which is based on this award winning story from the Times-Picayune two years ago....

https://www.nola.com/news/crime_police/article_934b7d20-a78a-535a-8691-26cfc7f9bee7.html

After a pharmacist's son is murdered in an opioid deal gone wrong, he became a de facto investigator/undercover detective/dea agent, and helped take down a local pill mill. Based in Chalmette, which is 5-10 minutes down the river from the French Quarter.

Amazing story.

So, it comes out Xavier Simpson was suspended for wrecking the Michigan AD's car, and then lying to police and telling them his name was "Jeff Jackson" :joy:

-We started The Pharmacist as well. Netflix crushes Documentaries

- Through ep. 2 of The Pharmacist. Good stuff. Sounds like something my stubbornass dad would do in a similar situation.

- What songs are a must on a hype playlist?

- Plan tonight is to pick up some turtles from Gomez, watch a movie and drink some brown water. Perfect Friday.

There are zero fast food restaurants south of 64 on Versailles Rd.

^ Yes Mash, but 'Throw it Up' even moreso. :fire: That's the #1 hype song of all time, imo. That whole album works just fine.

Pretty sure Chad just plays Lose Yourself on loop when he needs to get hype.

* Man, the flu bug is hitting this area hard. My girls' school has been closed since Monday due to illness. The big 3rd grade girls' basketball game vs Cardinal Pacelli was canceled last night because the other team was too sick to field a team.

My Bobcats get to count that as a huge W in the scorebooks. That is big in Wildcat Willy World because that temporarily bumps us to the upper bracket of the city tourney & now I may not have to miss UK's big Feb 15th showdown with Ole Miss.

* 99% of this thread is white trash. Including me. Just most of it is recycled.

* The other 1% is BBdK and Llama. Llama isn't trash and BBdK isn't white. For those of you wondering, Anth is swarthy. White, but swarthy.

* I am now in the mood for some chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and country gravy. Thanks.

For those of you lucky enough to live near those rare Rock Bottom Breweries, get the chicken fried chicken. You're welcome.

* Speaking of fat, most of you will be pleased to know I was working my *** off (literally) and had lost 21 lbs. I have now officially put it all back on since Thanksgiving. That is impressive, even for me.

The good news is it is all in my gut. I'll probably start working out again tomorrow.

* Man, we better beat those orange ******** tomorrow. I think we do, but it won't be pretty.

* Have a good Friday, GYERO.

Here's 5 to get you going... (This is just a normal Friday 5 from shuffle, not a WCC Hype list)

Hunger Strike - Temple of the Dog
No Quarter - Led Zeppelin
Best of Both Worlds - Van Halen
Even Better Than the Real Thing - U2
Father Figure - George Michael

Now, go get pumped.

If our basketball squad listened to nothing but Kings of Crunk instead of Astroglide World or Trippy Redd, they would be at least 20% tougher.

6:30pm daylight :basketball: tips, LFG.

Mags just brought up a good point on this. ESPN/SEC isn't moving game times up an hour because of what the clocks in Kentucky say. Instead of 6:30/7:00/9:00 tips it would be 7:30/8:00/10:00 tips.

<---- am down with Hardees, btw.

The old Frisco Burger was the best. No telling how much butter they put on that bun. :boom:

Booker might be able to speak on it but Japanese 7-11’s are supposed to have awesome egg salad sandwiches

I have never seen this. I just can't do Japanese breakfast. I love Japanese food but the seafood first thing in the morning sucks.

Andre Drummond going from Storrs, to Detroit, to Cleveland is up there with the Mike Leach Lubbock, Pullman, Starkville loop.

Kind feel bad for the guy

I DO NOT. $27 Mill ? I would play ball behind a crack infested Dairy Queen on a goal with no net.

No you don’t

Oh contraire.....I prefaced it by saying it depends on the frame of mind. Plus realizing about 75% of people are ill informed and therefore have opinions limited to what they read on the internet.
Even when hanging out with friends at a bar I get the “smiling, slow head shake, please don’t!” comment when several inebriated people are arguing about something they have no clue about.
It’s the easiest and quickest way to get rid of the annoyance when you’re trying to have an upbeat and enjoyable time.
But hey, if you enjoy listening and watching drunk idiots arguing for long periods of time, then continue right on. Sometimes it is amusing I must admit.

Whatever became of Jeanine Edwards? Always thought she was an attractive minx, but sorely needed to wear turtlenecks because her neck could be scary at times.
