I’m in the process of selling my house and packing up getting ready for the move. I live a pretty clutter free life and can pack most rooms up in 15-30 mins.
BUT it’s amazing how much stuff I’ve accumulated in my garage. Tons of tools, supplies, and random items for about all lawn and house maintenance. Really disappointed in myself I let it get that out of hand.

On a side note, anyone every used PODS to move? Seems pretty convenient and because of logistics renting a UHaul and DIY is not an option.

Used PODs for our move from Texas to NY and it worked out great, dropped off on driveway to load and picked up when ready. We had them store it for a few months as we were staying in a furnished apt at the time, storing can be a bit expensive but we knew it was for a short time. They dropped it off right in front of garage of another apt we were moving into. I highly recommend them, was a great little road trip up from Texas to NY w/out the hassle of a uhual/moving van.

How bad must it suck for, say, James Brown to have to cut from NFL playoff pregame, to "AND NOW LET'S TAKE A SPECIAL LOOK AT ROBERT DOWNEY JR AND ALL HIS ANIMAL FRIENDS IN THE NEW MOVIE 'DR DOOLITTLE'."

I mean seriously, wtf? And it's not even ABC/ESPN/Disney, it's CBS.

Cool thanks. What was the cost of the moving part, I’ll probably rent a house for 6 months while I look for something to buy so doubt I’ll use their storage option. Considering the furnished option as well but won’t know until I start looking.

If I was a Chiefs fan I’d be losing my mind right now. Two wide open 3rd down drops, a completely wide open catch for a TD for Houston on busted coverage, a blocked punt for a TD and a fumbled punt on the 5 yard line. All in the 1st quarter [laughing] I mean jesus

I mean, we *are* Kentucky football fans. Probably have a good sense of how it feels...

And now the Texans are doing the same thing - completely pointless failed fake punt and fumble on the kick off return. :joy: This is like watching 2003 Kentucky vs 2014 Kentucky

Headed to Drakes in a few. Couple of cold ones with a buddy and his family.

Installed running boards on the KENTUCKY BLUE Wrangler today. It was a christmas gift for the wife. Instructions were awful. Had to walk away, get a drink and come back. My son was the hero. He actually reads all the directions.

Kind of chilled on bourbon purchases. Got out of hand there for a couple of months. I'll buy something if it's there, but I'm not actively seeking out anything.

Love IQ. Hate his hair. He's keeps making shots, that mofo could come out with a Roy Munsen that is braided for all I care.

Richards. Wow.

- My high-level Disney World observation is that the company’s culture of uber-friendliness has led a world of absolute acceptance - a world with no shame. This shameless world has left Disney as a refuge for people with no shame: scooter brigades, general slobs, etc, and now it is a viscous cycle with an overrepresentation of these dregs in the parks. Suffice it to say, I’m thrilled with my choice of staying at the Modern (since I’m clearly rich as hell now.)

-On the domestic front, my wife insisted on planning and taking care of everything - including packing for a week. Long story short, there were a lot of vacuous checklists and she didn’t pack half of my clothes.

Even if you would potentially have the upper hand all week because you knew they would screw it up (even though they have “a system”) and you didn’t actually care about Disney ‘fit checks?

Playing a long game here, bub. It’s called marriage.

Soon to be married 13 years and I'd sure as **** rather have my stuff with me on the trip as opposed to having a reason to be mad.

Headed to Disney in April, and even though I’m packing my own bag I don’t see how anyone could leave HALF my clothes behind.

Before that game I got the Chiefs -165 to win the AFC.........that was one hell of a comeback!

I packed for an 8 day vacation in like 20 minutes. Why would you let that happen? Plus, if I let ws pack for me I'd have the opposite issue. I'd have two maxed out bags and basically everything I own.

*White Chicken Chili and cast iron skillet Mexican Cornbread for dinner tonight. There aren’t many things that smell better than skillet cornbread in the oven.

*I have been trying to decide on a pro-football team to follow. Back in the day I was a Chicago Bears fan because I loved Mike Ditka and Refrigerator Perry. I followed them for a while in my 20s and then lost interest. Haven’t paid much attention since.
When my oldest daughter married a Campbell countian who is a die hard “Bangles” fan, I thought hmmm maybe I will follow them, but soon realized after decades as a UK football fan, that isn’t something I wanted to add to my life. Might as well flagellate myself with a cat-o-nine-tails once a week.
Now I am thinking maybe the Titans. They are close. I have some Nashville friends and family who are big fans and they seem to be on the upswing. I am having trouble committing though. I don’t want to be a bandwagoner so if I decide to Titan Up it will have to be for life.
Man, those first world tough choices!

*Speaking of my oldest daughter, I am so excited and proud for her. She just made partner at the wealth management firm where she works. She has always been very determined and focused. Some kids are just born that way, I think.

*There is nothing more terrifying than my 180lb English Mastiff when her “puppy” side comes out and she wants to play inside the house. She will grab a toy and toss it into the air and then try to catch it, or do the play bow and leap into the air or start turning in circles like she is chasing her tail. She is adorable and frightening at the same time. All she wants is someone to play/roughhouse with her but my survival instinct kicks in and all I can do is try to find cover so she can’t sweep the leg or break my hip!

*Looking forward to seeing these Cats progress. Sure, it seems iffy, and there is a lot of improvement to be made, but things are slowly looking up.
Even totally understanding in game redass, there are some people in here that I wonder if they can ever find joy in UK sports. It gets a little tiresome, but :) the scroll function seems to work every time, as I’m sure it does for many of my posts.

*Go Cats!

I pack the night before I lelea. The wife is putting outfits in the suitcase a week before we leave.

My method is simple.

Beach Vacation:
1.5 pair of underwear per day.
A pair of shorts that will go with multiple shirts.
A pair of jeans for a dinner that can be worn multiple times.
2 pairs of swimming trunks
Couple of pj pant for the evening

All in for a week of vacation I can almost fit in a duffle bag.

I wish! This trip is payback for 1) taking every dime I had and starting a company instead of building her a house and 2) taking all our money and buying 26 barrels of juice not realizing my bottler had two 3 week vacations scheduled that made it impossible to get my money back in time for a Christmas disney vacation.

I’m still in debt to her on the house, which is being addressed. If she finds one to buy before March it’s hers(within my budget) and if not we begin the build.

Then I can consider just how far to test if child support on 4 kids would be better than keeping me around.
