- Hard to not get ahead of ourselves, but 2-1 the next 3 gets us a shot at Georgia at home for the SEC East title maybe? But if we somehow won the next 3, that game would definitely be the biggest football game in program history (or at least since the '51 Sugar Bowl). No hyperbole, necessary.

- Current annoyance- people who name their pets stupidly. My sister had a mini pinscher named "Dooderbug." MY wife's aunt just named her new mini bulldog "Baby Cakes." WTF is that? :weary:

- Road trip west next weekend for 9 days. Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Arches, Yellowstone. Should have the entire lower 48 checked off by the time I get back.

- Patrick Reed is a supreme *****. F that guy. And F his crazy-*** wife, too.

- Stewart Mandel projecting UK vs Notre Dame at the Chick Fil-A Peach Bowl?

- Buddy invited me to that trivia last night at Blue Stallion. Had to pass, and I would've probably finished last on Super Troopers Trivia, anyways.

Won't be signing up for The Athletic but I do listen to the "Locked On" podcast each morning. Pretty bland(his attempts at humor are really awkward) but beats anything else in Lex at 7:30a.

How big of a douche bag is Reed to have everyone not only protest playing with him but then throw him under the bus? Especially after his previous heroics. Always heard stories but damn. Even Tiger took a jab at him and that's pretty out of character.

The Bengals drafted John Ross with the pick immediately before the Chiefs drafted Mahomes.

:fire:

Hindsight aside, if the Bengals had drafted a QB at #9 last year, I would've walked down to Paul Brown Stadium and punched Mike Brown in the nose. One of the last things they needed. Now, a broken down but fast knucklehead of a WR wouldn't have been my choice either, but at least it was a position of need.

Besides, if the Bengals had drafted Mahomes, he would've been killed by shrapnel from Eifert's fibia by now. That is just the way it goes around here.

I'll be happy with a 3-1 start and the fact that Ross has 2 more TDs than I thought he would ever get so far this season. But we all know something stupid/disastrous will happen soon to extinguish all hope for a playoff win.

From an outsider looking in, it seemed to me that the entire US squad was either hungover, jet-lagged, or still drunk/drugged up when they got off the plane all the way through the weekend. Those dudes all looked like they were coming down off a bender.

Yep. Didn't Tiger have a quote after his win about how good of a time they were all gonna have on the plane ride over?

I think a reality show involving golfers’ wives/girlfriends would grow the popularity of the sport more than a Tiger Woods twilight resurgence. Of course, HBO would have to have broadcasting rights to it, or at the very least Cinemax. Golf has a reputation of being an uptight, rich white man’s sport and deservedly so. But these behind the scenes rumors/leaked stories are what I imagine sends BBdK home early on a Tuesday afternoon.

-Hello, playoff baseball. When the TV production is done right, nothing beats the sheer drama of a tight game. Announcers saying as little as possible, cameras zoomed in on fans about to puke from nerves. Pitcher and batter staring each other down. Just the best.

Glad to hear my Tribe has an afternoon tilt for Game 1 against the defending champs. Sure, it'll absolutely kill my work productivity, but I love daytime starts for the playoffs. They won't ever do it, but every single playoff series should have at least one afternoon start, including the World Series. But no, a much better way to grow your aging fan base is to start games as late as possible on school nights. Stupid idiots.

Unlike last year, zero pressure on the Indians. Let's go.

-Cole Anthony isn't walking through that door. Don't think Scottie Lewis is, either. At least if that's the case, he'll end up in the SEC.

-I assumed Bret Bielema would just be biding his time until Bill Snyder hung it up, but sounds like he's *killing it* working for Belichick and the Pats. With all that severance money and a kid at home, very easy to see how the NFL lifestyle is much more appealing than flying around the Midwest, begging 18-year-olds to come live in Fayetteville.

-PTI, do I need different shoes for my first trail race? It's just a 5k, and only moderately challenging. Would my regular Brooks do the trick?

I hope Matt Jones starts every salary negotiation by playing a tape of a show where Ryan Lemond tries to host.

Unlistenable.
Ruined my morning. Come in from a meeting, fresh cup of coffee, turn on iheart and Ryan kicks the show off. F#$^*_×*#>?!*÷^<!

Regular shoes are fine... but you're blowing MCF off because "you're not there yet" and out running trail races. Lunch is definitely off now. Permanently. Geez, KL.

It's a single 5k on grass, Anth. Not quite the same as running a six-mile leg at 3 in the morning somewhere out in Washington County.

Learn the racing community.

Podcast Rotation:
- PMT
- Up and Vanished
- The Daily
- Ryen Russillo (ESPN)
- Dual Threat (Russillo again)
- Serial
- Slow Burn
- Stuff You Should Know (selected episodes)

I love KSR's online content, but I've never been able to bring myself to listen to a full episode. I like Matt and consider Drew sorta a friend...but I can't do it.

Not about to start voluntarily listening to the opinions and forced jokes of Kyle Tucker's sancitmonious ***.

- But I did sign up for the Athletic. Oh well. Good writer.

- Post Malone pandora for house chores today.

- Debating between scheduling a NYE Tahoe trip or gamboling that the Cats will be playing somewhere fun in a bowl game.

- Uncle told me this weekend he has 4 great seats to the Rose Bowl this year through a client that he can't use; mine if I want. Have to pay face only. But decision has to be made in the next couple weeks. :grimace:

- Tickets and hotel locked in for Duke in Indy. Can't wait! First one of these big early season neutral site games I've been able to go to in awhile.

One hell of a 4 day run after the UGA game...

Tuesday Shorts:

-Game was a blast. Lass was hammered by 2pm. Guess I took over as she came down during the game b/c I don't remember much at all after the SC score - zero recollection of any postgame festivities. :eyes:

-Anth's wings were good, they're always good. However, have to side w/ Pope here. To me, they seemed a bit TOO tender/juicy if that makes any sense. Not unlike Ribs, I prefer a little pull to my wings & it didn't seem like any bark/crust was able to form. That said, I completely get the convenience of the SV for a large crowd.

Oh, and the house is sicko - what a pad, smh.

-Uncle Ben & crew heading to College Station. I had the offer, but really needed this weekend off/home after a whirlwind Sept.

-Golf outing yesterday was NOT what the Dr. ordered. [sick] Bloody & a few beers had me in denial about how bad I truly felt, nice little Tuesday carryover.

-I played a TSwift song for Booker's daughter, and she proceeded to follow me around for the next hour chastising each subsequent selection and telling me what TSwift song I needed to be playing instead. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

-Made it about 20 minutes into Vandal S2. I enjoyed the first one b/c it was unique & well executed, but have little interest in another.

-Markelle Fultz draining some jumpers brought a smile to my face.

-Stopped in KSBar on the way in town to check it out. Place is beautiful, happy for those guys -- can't imagine how cool that must be. $3 Bloody's ftw :fire:

-The Athletic is great.

-Aggies by 10.

So the entire US team was fighting and we also knocked a ladies eyeball out. Believe it's time for new leadership.

Well most of them did play the week before in that tiger win.

Counterpoint: you have to watch at least 162 baseball games every year.
Or 163 if you have stupid rules and head to head doesn’t come into play. Yeah let’s have the team with the second best record in the NL possibly not be in the playoffs. Seems legit.
