Seth Davis was absolutely stunned that Kentucky ground out another victory, that we could be this good playing this style.

Has he been playing with his cock the last 8 weeks instead of watching games?

Writing for the school paper and landing a cush job doesn't make you a sports expert.

My UK roommate, in whose basement I've watched nearly every big game since college, has a baby now so going to his place and being a maniac wasn't an option. This game was too big for a bar. So, I headed out to my mom and dad's, where ever since dad put together his UK den a few years back, his two brothers and a handful of my cousins watch the games. He's so proud of that place- it's almost kitschy how much UK **** he has, not an inch of any wall spared- and I think its cool they all get to hang out so often now. Their youngest brother who also came out a bunch passed away two years ago, so I think its good they get to see each other weekly from Nov-April- three old dudes from Newport bickering, cheering on the Cats, all trying to one up each other.

Anyway, just an awesome, loud and charged place to watch a game like tonight.

Being a sports fan, even one of a bigtime winner, you still have more big losses than big wins. Have to savor nights like tonight and the friends, dads, wives, moms, sisters, uncles, cousins, etc. you get to share them with.

The lass went to bed hours ago. I'm sitting here enjoying a late night Basil Hayden- first drink of the night- and watching highlights, reading CatPaw and stalking the Carolina board. F'm. They're going down.

The fact that we're not even talking about Monk's insane explosion or Hawkins' huge game is crazy. That stretch in the beginning second half was one of the best displays of basketball that I've ever seen at the college level.

Always interesting to see how other teams' fans view us. From a UCLA fan in the UK-UCLA gamethread on Reddit:

"Yeah, regardless of whether or not they even make it to the Final Four, Kentucky always looks so unstoppable come March time.

I know so many people hated us because of LaVar, but I couldn't give a **** less about the media and the press, I just want to see us get past a Sweet 16 for once in what feels like a ******* decade.

Then there's the fact that if we disregarded rounds and only looked at match-ups, this would've been the most satisfying team to eliminate. The ******* Calipari juggernaut.

I am rooting so hard for UNC, even if it's just out of jealousy lol."

It's only fitting that after beating the ever loving crap out of each other during all of league play, the SEC guys get to fight it out at the end for the big prize.

I was trying to go through the whole day without knowing the outcome of last night's game.....which isn't hard to DO in middle-GA normally......however I just saw the score and notes on Fox

oh momma -- I FEEL......all lathered up and PRETTTTTTTY on the inside....

headed to Savannah later this morning

somehow I helped produce a teen age girl that's being offered some modeling chances......this is her / her mom's 4th or 8th trip there so I figured I should show up......

ask smart questions like.....when does she "Get Paid"....and do I have to "report that" ?

also...in places like that I feel it's good form to give firm and unsolicited advice to the young ladies and LADS.........queue up the finger guns for a big exit.......

and drink something with vodka before 11am if possible

F = yeah

So two SEC East teams, neither of which are UK and neither of which won an SEC tournament game this year, will compete for a Final Four spot.

It's been covered, but the differences in the two halves of the bracket are amazing.

Long wait to get to Sunday afternoon.

Dom was clutch again last night. There literally isn't a better time for that guy to turn into a shooter, defensive stud and calming influence then motherf'ing March of his senior season. Actually expecting his shot to fall every time now. Fox will get most of the love for last night, as he should, but Dom was f'ing huge when we were still figuring things out.

If you had looked into the crystal ball and saw Florida and South Carolina playing in the postseason at MSG, we'd assume they were playing in the NIT semifinals.

Over/under on fans in attendance?

Love when old regulars come in with drive-bys during tourney runs. Good hearing from you, ktatum.

Sold out.

Florida has a big alumni base in NYC. South Carolina had a big crowd last night.
