Welcome back

North End Slice is :fire:, my go to when I'm wanting NYC style, for sure.

Richie gonna scope out the Manhattan Project for us? Semi-upscale sports & cocktail bar with a basic food menu built around Mac N Cheese? Sounds like something I could get behind.

I mean its fairly close to just drinking dirty water but any beer you can drink about a dozen of and have a tab for no more than $10 is gonna get rave reviews

Has anyone reviewed Carson's restaurant on here yet? Have a group outing either there or Tony's in a few weeks.

Not Richie, but I've been a couple times. The location and setup is nice. Some hits and misses with the menu items we've tried, but build your own mac n cheese is worth the trip.

********. If your mother-in-law would give you permission to drink IPAs, you would drink the EVERLASTING HELL out of them. And you freaking know it.

* Welcome back, SAE. Your triumphant return is a ray of sunshine on this gloomy, gray day in glorious Blue Ash, OH.

* Welp, waited too long to get a hotel room in Lex for this weekend and am now stuck out on Newtown Pike.

* I really don't have a great feeling about tonight's game. I don't like losing to those orange *** pirates. They are the most SEC West SEC East team ever.**

**The possible exception being Mizzou, but not enough data has been gathered on those weirdos yet.

The SEC has not been kind to them at all. They came in like a wrecking ball (insert liberal Miley rant here) winning a couple of East crowns in football and were a ranked ball team.

Now they suck at both sports. How is that even possible? I'd say kick 'em out for lack of effort, but it gives us an extra winnable football game in conference play.

According to Fred Cowgill the NBA will never work here due to lack of corporate backing and not enough fortune 500 companies in Louisville.

Predicts they will end up in Mexico City cause that is better for the NBA

GTFO

Real reason is because Tom and Rick told you it wouldn't

Missouri is the one team in all of college basketball that Kansas fans want Kentucky to beat and beat badly. Based on talking a KU fan I know Missouri fans joining the SEC is the equivalent of Louisville joining the ACC.

Who's the bigger loser? The cheaters or the guy who spends his free time looking for cheaters?

That online virtual spinning/cycling I do has a race like every 30 minutes and these dudes analyze the results like crazy to catch cheaters. They're ruthless and it's pretty embarrassing.

As for the marathons, I get it. Cutting a course short is a dumb thing to do. It also can really eff with people in winnings, qualifying, etc. I typically finish events in the bottom third so no need to examine splits. Kip Litton started all this, if you haven't read that New Yorker article it's fascinating and worth the read.. Regular dude, respected dentist, just starts fabricating results, races, cutting courses, etc. It's unreal. A message board also just busted a female triathlete and another good read from NY Times. The depths these people go to cheat is honestly more creepy than the people figuring it out.

Believe Anth tried a few weeks ago, but they didn't recognize him and the wait was too long so his party left iirc.
:joy: I'll take the first shot from SAE. Just glad to have the ol' chap back posting. Been a struggle with BBda and SAE both on sabbatical.

*MGD is always a good option. In the bottles, of course.

*IPA's are great. IPA's are also ******. Not unlike any other types of beer.

*If an owner of a NBA team wants to come to Louisville, who gives a **** why anyone in this city thinks it will fail. Personally, I'd love it. Think of the new revenues that will be created with payroll taxes alone. That's a shitload of GPS equipped trees our lovely mayor can plant all around Louisville. First one goes up his butthole.

UGA is the most SEC West SEC East team by a mile. Stegeman marcus welby Tad Smith. They usually have similar roster make up, to wit; lumbering brute of a honk in the paint surrounded by Olympic level athletes whose sole means of scoring are ridiculous gunner 3s and dunks (annual Rupp ball-a-thon excluded).

Craft beer movement seems like something I should be all over. Nope. I've actually gone the opposite way.

An ice cold draft domesto. That's the pinnacle.

Did it have the moon lady on the label? Last time I picked some up it didn't.

I was pissed.

There's plenty of good stuff out there on the craftie movement other than IPA's. IPA's are all the rage but wheat ale's or APA's are definitely less bitter/hoppy and yet pack a punch with some nice flavor. Red Ale's are maltier. Not huge on porter/stouts but they provide a nice change up in the winter.

Still nothing wrong with an ice cold Miller Lite or Silver Bullet domesto. Bud Light is straight donkey piss though.

The BS about not having enough corporate sponsors is a joke. Everyone knows it except the UL cronies that think YUM going bankrupt while UL is so profitable is GREAT!

IIRC 3 years ago some Chinese conglomerate was ready to bring the Kings here, maybe it was Memphis, and he was quoted as saying something along the lines of if this was discussed at a later date he could be depended on to be involved.

The only reason I'm against an NBA team moving to Louisville is because the odds of the franchise becoming a dismal, boring, poorly run, irrelevant joke are far greater than it becoming a big local hit.

For some reason, the Vancouver Grizzlies and their god awful uniforms keeps coming to mind.

The aluminum pint bottle/can is the greatest invention of the last 10 years by far.

Couldn't disagree more -- the taste drop off when drinking out of these (as opposed to regular bottle or can), whether mental or real, is palpable. :100points: #NoRothstein

-Like most everything else, Anth drinks/loves Bud Light b/c Bean tells him to.

- Welcome back, SAE.

Maybe you could just do a 5K or something.

- I'm down at Rupp waiting to donate blood for Kentucky Blood Center and the Big Blue Slam vs. Florida. Come on down, folks.

They are playing the 2012 Championship game on the video screen. Has that really been 5 years?

- Has anyone ever done a Whole 30? I could do the food, but not the alcohol part. Cheese would be difficult, but I could manage.

- G is about due for another haircut. It doesn't cost him $44 though.

- White Girl Wasted at Mirror Twin is pretty good. And similar to a domesto.

Glad he does it. Lots of people bust their *** to try and qualify for Boston (and these days you typically have to beat your actual BQ time by 2+ minutes to get in). Plenty of folks been screwed out of getting to run it by cheaters.
