Favorite aspect of Bam Adebayo: Quick decision making. Knows as soon as the catch is made if he's passing or making a move to the basket. Instant reaction upon the catch. And not all raw power either. The drop step/up & under reverse layup...crap. And that was with a bad eye. He couldn't have seen at 100%. Great passing too.

The guards did a great job of finishing at the rack. This looks to be a good layup shooting team. Some UK teams - even good ones - were kind of crappy at finishing at the basket. These guys can be lethal at making layups.

Potential is there to wreak some serious havoc on defense. A press with Wenyen Gabriel on the inbound and Fox/Briscoe on the ball would be kind of neat. Not sure the rest of Wenyen's body has caught up to his motor yet. Everything looked super uncoordinated with him. But that motor.

Hope you like zones. Fox and Briscoe can get wherever they want with the ball. Crazy tight handles on those guys. Still not sold on the shooting but it won't be 2010 bad. Slash/kick with Willis + Monk hitting that 15-footer and we have something against the 2-3, plus good passers on the floor. Play man against this bunch and you get what you deserve.

Yep. Kid reminds me of a young Walter McCarty in that regard, just non stop energy, bouncing around, long *** arms flailing all over, etc...hopefully his stroke progresses like #40.

Kid loves playing the game, that much is clear. Always smiling and excited-seeming #richie

Started "Goliath" on amazon prime. Billy Bob Thornton plays a once-big time but washed up lawyer taking on a huge multinational firm in a wrongful death case.

Bangs the plaintiff in the first episode, so it has that going for it. Dwight Yoakam is in it too.

I'm all in on TWolves Over 41.5 wins. Destroyed 2 playoff teams last 2 games without Wiggins (Preseason I know)

Thank God Hillary is a good person. Can't imagine reading these leaked emails, etc if she wasn't.

Had no real idea what Killeya-Jones' game was like. Man, that jumper of his looks nice.

Gabriel reminds me so much of a young McCarty. Like a puppy out there running around with so much energy. Arms all over the place. Ridiculous motor. Still raw. Great attitude.

Monk's mid range... Love how high he rises on his jumper.

Fox gonna have dudes on skates.

REALLY LIKE my team.

As a coach, I would LOVE Gabriel. It's very easy to see why he's out there. And he deserves all the time he gets. He's a matchup nightmare on a pogo-stick.

But as a fan, I think we'll be frustrated with some small things early. He's going to miss some bunnies and be off balance a lot (puppy growing, if you will) which could *could* give our more red-assed fans (none here though!!) a very brief flashback to Skal.

But I encourage everyone to let the cake bake. This team is going to be hard to guard!

Pretty much.

I'm already trying to ward off early season redass after Cal referred to Gabriel as "more of 3/4 than a 4/3" in the post-conference. Cal is just always going to prefer to go as big as possible, is always going to prefer length on defense to shooting, and it is what it is.

Fans will want to see a three guard lineup with a heavy dose of Willis at the 4. But we are going to get a heavy dose of Gabriel out there and at first it will probably be less fluid than it could be.

I did like Willis showing some obvious chemistry with Gabriel when they were on the the same team. That would be a nice little combo in spells with Bam in middle when we want to be big but still fast.

Also, it has already been said, but Monk's pull-up is a thing of beauty. He goes from 90 mph to just straight up in a smooth motion.

XBox One Games Update

Battlefront - Kids love it. Graphics are awesome. Gameplay seems repetitive, but whatever...it's Star Wars! Final game rating = :fire:.
FIFA 17 - Like FIFA in real life, this game is absolute garbage. My biggest video game disappointment since NHL 95 on Sega. They took everything good about the franchise and changed it. It's next to impossible to score. Penalties are a joke. Whatever. Final game rating = [poop]:flush:.
Madden 17 - 2 thumbs up. Lots of late TDs and scoring though, so you better have a healthy lead heading into the 4Q. Final game rating = [thumb2]:football:[thumb2].
Forza Horizon 3 - this might be the best game I've ever played. It's fantastic. The graphics are beautiful...the cars are great. The off road stuff =. Final game rating = [cheers]:100points:

Saw a little kid who was forced to go to his older bros 9am throw a hissy after his momma stopped him from eating chips while walking back to the damn van. Broke my heart. He was like 3 and had a big bag of classic Lays. At 9am. Like f it, I'll be in the car eating chips. Mom tried to nicely persuade him and not make a scene, but he ignored her. Safe to say that boy won't be subjecting his poor family to 9am soccer games in the cold. Bless his heart.

Well Lamar Jackson is running away with the Heisman today. Also, UL and the College Football Playoff are still on a COLLISION COURSE, buds.

Oh yeah - Also, whores.

You people forget how the Heisnan works. Lamar isnt running away with squat. Front runner? Absolutely. Best player? Yep.

But if they lose another game and he plays poorly, that may be all it takes to knock him out. Ridiculously stupid, but that's the way that award is handled.

JMO but I don't see Gabriel making quite the crazy impact some of you do.

He's pretty raw and a bit awkward out there. Don't get me wrong he'll have some moments throughout the course of the season but I think he's behind right now from a basketball IQ standpoint.

Having said that, dude's clearly a high energy guy and can guard multiple positions... so there's definitely a need for that. His weak side recovery/help side D was extremely impressive last night. He made up a ton of ground and was much 'longer' than I thought seeing him up close.

- Monk's little hesitation/crossover & stop-on-a-dime pull up J from the stripe gave me a boner. He's as gifted a player we've had under Cal. The upside is mind boggling. Chad Ford better get his **** together because there is zero way he is a Top 15 talent. Maybe 2-3 in the Draft, IMO.

Felt sick about our lack of offense. Decided to take my dog for a walk & hoped things would improve while I was gone.
My dog pooped & so did our offense.
It is a push.
Crap crap crap.
Can we please get better?

So if you're Stoops do you just ride SJ to the slow bleed loss or do you toss in a completely unknown and see what happens?
