- Kyle Tucker is doing yeoman's work at the McD AA Game this week. Good piece on the ****** 2012 high school basketball class.
- Speaking of, been interesting to discover that Calipari's freshman-based gamble depends so much on the quality of the overall freshman class. Makes sense, of course. When the freshman class sucks, bet big on experienced teams.
- Still can't get over Booker and Ulis being lottery picks.
- Seems the narrative is that the cavernous arena will help UNC, whose offense relies less on the 3, BUT...
a) UNC hasn't been UNC without Paige being electric from the perimeter. That's how they've become so good of late. Without Paige being a stud, they're just a good not great team.
b) Does the arena fortify Syracuse's zone?
- Anyway, that ********* in Houston illustrates one more turn of bad luck for UK basketball in the NCAA Tourney under Cal- getting into a rock fight in that place after tearing up the nets against UNC.
- I don't care what anyone says- UConn's monopoly on women's basketball is dumb, boring and in no way good for the sport.
- I like me some Thad Matta, but it might be time for a change of scenery. He's kind of losing it up there.

Tried out BurgerFi last night by Fayette Mall. Pretty solid burger, but the onion rings were not that good.

* Made some Moscow Mules the other day and had to substitute Vanilla Vodka for regular. It actually turned out pretty good.

BTW, apparently there is a porn star also named Stacy Poole in case you google his name to make you spell it correctly to keep CoolCat from getting disgruntled.

* A pair of Mallard Ducks has decided to build a nest in the flower bed separating our yard from the neighbors. And yes, they have discovered the little 50 gallon pond.
Apparently all species of water fowl are ********. Kind of like goats with feathers instead of horns.
I have a feeling that the neighbor's german shepherd will scare them away fairly quickly, though. Tazer is a sweetie, but I'm not sure ducks will feel the same way.
* Humphries will contribute to some degree this year. How much is up to him. Work hard this summer, mate. Less piano and more Mikan drills.
* Lee will do Lee things. And if that is bringing dunks, shot blocking and energy off the bench in short spurts then that is a very good thing for the Wildcats of Lexington.

But yeah, I will be holding my nose and rooting for them vs UNC. I realize that another Heel title would suck worse than Brady lighting me up on Facebook.
Luckily, I have him on record 3x in the past 5 years talking about how a Final Four doesn't mean ****, only titles.

They may make my Top 15-20. I have so much hatred for Louisville, Indiana, UNC, Duke, Kansas and UCLA that it's just hard to muster up any for a program that has no real negative connection to UK. UConn, I get. They've kept us from two additional titles, knocked us out of three tournaments. But Syracuse? I'd prefer Oklahoma or Villanova, but it's not going to bother me if they win. I'll take anyone but UNC at this point and be giddy.
One time when I was in law school, I saw two ducks attempting what appeared to be a gang rape of another duck. Never looked at those quacking bastards the same way again.

Can you imagine Pete Thamel prancing out onto the court during the trophy presentation and lubing boheim up while he talks to nantz? Nantz is like hey whoa what's happening here and boheim is all dismissive meanwhile Thamel is just tugging away like he's trying to start a push mower.
