love gus...he's passionate about the game. If you ever get him in a tourney game, the guy is gold.
Would not want to listen to him all the time but I like him once and a while. Very enthusiastic. Much better than some of those B1G people and Lisa B is brutal.

Surprised by all the Gus hate. I get that the manufactured enthusiasm isn’t for everyone but come tourney time there’s no announcer I want doing a game more
You’re right. I hate Gus, but it is cool to get the network’s #1 crew. That said, last time at MSU we got Bilas...that went well.
Yeah wow on the Gus hate! Sure he is at times over the top but he is still a great announcer with a voice that you just associate bigtime sports with. Vern is still my fav. for college bball, and I have always liked Raft. But Gus is A-OK in my book. Re: Bardo, love him!!!! Def. in my top 5 and def. my fav B1G guy. Side funny note, when this thread was first started, I read Gus Johnson and my brain registered it as Bruce Johnson and I'm thinkin' holy smokes, they are REALLY takin' this throwback approach seriously! And he's gonna be on TV and not radio?! Whoa! Hahaha.
It is true. Izzo was crying all night long the last time we played and his team beat us really good. I can only imagine his crying all night long tonight to the refs. He may be a great coach but the constant whining is way too much.
Don't care who the announcers are. Don't care who the refs are. Don't care if Izzo whines. Don't care about throwback uniforms. Don't care who wears what color sneakers. Don't care if Harper makes the Julius Erving, John Wooden, or any other list. Don't care who starts.

He sure was. Had season tickets to the Bullets in late 60's and and Johnson was available to us both before and after the games.

Johnson was always my favorite play by play announcer for early round NCAA..he used to team up with Len Elmore, who is comparable to Bardo...when he moved to Fox, he was mostly football, which his style does not fit as well

I listened to WCTC until 4 minutes to go....the only crap I heard from him was about Hoiberg's dad. Nothing to say about the game. He SUCKS. Had nothing postive to say about Rutgers (in the last 4)
