Anyone else feel he's just being driven out, largely because of his personality and political views? Most CFB coaches are Republican and I would bet most listen to and watch conservative news. In my opinion this is all going way too far and Okie St should take a stronger stance in support of Gundy and his right to wear a shirt on his own time that only displays a news station (I've never listened to it, in all fairness). It appears to be almost political discrimination.

So why Gundy and Ku Klux Kirk but not Saban and all the other Republican coaches? Maybe these guys are just not very good human beings deep down and deserve what is now coming to them?

OSU and Gundy have had a lot of tension for a long time. Gundy wanted the Nebraska job bad when we hired Riley. This latest issue, just brings back up all the mutual disdain.

The Iowa strength coach had a history of making offensive statements to players. Gundy was wearing a shirt that referenced a more right-wing Foxnews. I looked up the programming and it's things like Seth Rich murder conspiracies, Tomi lahren, etc. That does not appear to be stuff that should demand an apology. CNN is extremely left wing these days and no one would care if he wore that shirt. Seems discriminatory to me. Are we going to have players demanding support for Biden now? BS.

That's because it is.

Gundy should just walk at this point. Negotiate the best deal he can and go fishing with his sons in Texas. Not worth the ******** anymore.
I would. He's the best coach they've had in a while and deserves a lot of respect from his past there as a player and effortsover the past decade to make it a strong program in the Big 12. But he shouldn't be forced to adhere to political views or be discriminated against for not being a left wing nutjob.

He should do nothing and dare the University to fire him. If they do it will go extremely bad for them as Oklahoma is a very red state.

There really need to be laws that protect employees from employment discrimination based on political views. It can be scary to work at IT companies, etc if you are conservative. College football and the NFL have been places where conservatives can thrive until now. I have never seen a Democrat discriminated against in employment, but have seen Republicans fearful of various forms of discrimination.
