In gulf shores this week group of 18 family and was hoping the pack has recommendations on great seafood place? I know there was a post a week or so ago about Destin I think? Any help appreciated.

Tin Top in Bon Secour is good. Avoid The Gulf, everything is imported frozen. The original Doc's is always good.
Of course this is the middle of Red Snapper season. So you can always go catch a couple of those and cook at the condo or house you are in.

We always cook our own. Go back up 59 a little (to I think County Highway 10) and turn left and go out to Bon Secour area, there's several places out there to buy it fresh and some restaurants. Billy's, Aquila, Safe Harbor, Bon Secour Fisheries all have it fresh.
just got back from there and everywhere we stumbled into was great. We visited Tacky Jacks Fort Morgan (great sunset views), Oyster house, Hangout, Bahama Bobs, The Angry Crab, King neptunes. All excellent. Heck, we even saw a fancy Dollar General.
Not saying these are bad choices, but most of these are tourist traps. There are many good local choices like Fish River, Big Fish, Tin Top, etc. You wouldn't ever catch me in a place like the Hangout.
Give your business to the seafood markets along the Bon Secour River, as they have been the lifeblood of that area for a long time. You will also find the fattest and freshest shrimp on earth there. If there is a better place to find freshly caught shrimp along the Gulf, i'm not aware of it. Billy's, Aquila, BSF, etc.

It’s one of my favorites in the country. The owner is from Vicksburg too, so you know he’s good people.
My suggestion would be to not go out to eat with 18 people. Only caveat to that would be if you come from a small town with no restaurants so eating out really is a treat or if the idea of going and having a couple of drinks while you wait to be seated and then having another couple of drinks while you wait for everybody to order and get food sounds entertaining.
If you are going to have kids in your group and you want seafood that somebody else cooks, you might consider getting rouses or publix to cook you something. They'll be able to steam shrimp or maybe boil shrimp for you. Not sure if they can/will cook fish for you. I'm sure they'll fry it for you but guessing that's not going to be what you want. I assume you can also get oysters there if you don't mind shucking them yourselves. That's obviously work going to the store, but for my mileage, I'd rather get to the store and pick food up than take kids to a restaurant there in the summer.
I live full time in Perdido Key. This time of the year is nearly impossible to go out to dinner and not have a 2 hour wait, especially with a party of 18. May places don't take reservations during the high season.

My favorite is to go to a local seafood market (i.e., Blaylocks, or the markets in Bon Secour, etc), find what you like and come home and prepare it.

LOL ok. Well i have a 7 yr old that wanted to play. So we went in and played.
As someone else said, 18 people is going to be a long wait during the summer. I've been a big fan of scheduling orders from S&S Seafood Market ahead of time. They only do so many orders per hour, so I would schedule a day in advance for a huge order. They will steam/fry/grill pretty much anything they sell. You can also get it raw to take home and cook yourself. The smoked tuna dip is a great snack/app for the whole time you are there.
It's just as good as going to the seafood markets in Bon Secour, but the convenience of being in Gulf Shores

The problem with Jessie's is it is too nice. I don't want to pack nice clothes and real shoes when I go to the beach.
